Shaken, Not Stirred, With a Twist of Pixie Dust! A Food and Wine Trip!NEW! Pgs.75,76

It's shocking that the WS turned into the Vegas strip :scared1:

The food at Tutto Italia looks so good. What a nice way to spend your anniversary :)

tutto is one of my faves! that tiramisu......sooo good....

F and W on a weekend....drunk story potential.....;)

Wow! Your dinner sounds great. I can't see your pics but I bet everything looks so yummy. What a nice way to spend your anniversary. Do you have any pictures of crazy, drunk people????? I want to see them because that is going to be me next year!

Well, technically, we were celebrating our anniversary two weeks early, but that's okay.

No pics, but they were crazy, that's for sure!

Mmmmm your dinner looks scrumptious! I haven't been there since it was Alfredo's. I do remember some very solicitous waiters though!
I remember the olive oil that they served with the bread too....I have never been able to find a good dipping olive oil that was comparable. Of course I don't sit around having lavish Italian meals at home either. :rotfl:

Tracy

It was delicious from start to finish and so pretty inside!

Yeah...no snow here either. It's been nothing but cold rain with a little sleet now and then. The roads are clear. The school district dismissed school at 11:00 today because of the "storm". :sad2: Heck...it hadn't even started raining when I got the phone call! There was really no need for early dismissal today.

Tutto Italia looks very nice. That cannelloni looks sooooo good!

[/B]

Wow! I am surprised they dismissed before it actually started doing anything. I wonder if you will get any snow tonight?

Yeah, Charles was all shared out. :lmao:

I was in shock -- I really didn't expect Epcot to ever look like a big drinking fest. We were glad we weren't trying to drag kids through that madness.

The meal was one of my favorites at Disney.

That tiramisu was wonderful! It made me want to go to Italy.

Definitely drunk story potential, but Charles and I were just trying to get through the crowds to Italy.

OOH yummy Italian food and servers!! My favorites!
We also ate at Tutto and loved it!! It was hard not to ogle and comment on the server while seated by my DH and DDs and inlaws!!

Hope your weather improves!

:lmao: Charles could tell that I liked our wait staff (all three of them) almost as much as I liked the cannelloni. ;)

The rain has stopped for now -- I think we have had the soggiest December ever!

As I type I have Shocker looking at the menu for Tutto Italia...
I so want to try it out in June or July...
Your pictures looked very yummy!

So sad about the F&W drunkards....

They probably had one of these :headache: the next day.

Tutto looks great! I love the way you tell Charles what to order so you can have some of it! :rotfl2:

You're the 3rd person who has described the weekend crowds at F&W that way. Apparently disney doesn't care, or they would do something to curb it. It makes me sad - it should still be a family atmosphere. If we want idiots, we would hang out at US, or in Calif, it would be Knott's or Six Flags.

We were quite torn, but, in the end, we decided we wanted to have a nice, quiet, romantic anniversary meal in Italy.

After a truly exceptional and delicious meal, we slowly back into the melee of World Showcase.

I think the options at Epcot are what have me the most torn. I'm not sure the rest of the family even want to GO to World Showcase, and I could probably spend two days. I have to remind myself that this trip is for Phoebe. Your photos of your culinary discoveries are really making me envious!

We came across a drunken 21 year old celebrating her birthday in WS last May....I can just imagine how it would be if there had been a whole park of them. Oy!

Your food looks so delicious! I'm not a huge italian food fan but it's been growing on me recently and that looks divine!

Jillyb- You are near me- no real snow, but we were the district that stayed in all day. At work we debated all day whether we would close early and ended up staying open anyway. Looks like it is finally out of the way for us.

I was also there during F & W and saw the crowd swell over the weekend. Wed night it seemed like I had EMH to myself but by Fri night it was Standing room only. I was not stumbling over drunks per say, just lots of people.

We were very pleasantly surprised by our lunch at Tutto too. Glad it did not disappoint.

I wonder if you will get any snow tonight?

According to the local weartherman "no". It's still snowing in the mountains but is tapering off. It's been sleeting off and on tonight but I think that will be done by tomorrow. I hope so anyway. Tomorrow afternoon my Mom, Hannah and I are going to see The Nutcracker. :cool1: Funny thing about the weather: before we moved to Concord we lived in Salisbury and they got snow. So, if we hadn't moved we would have seen snow today. We're not telling Hannah.

.

For once I can say CMS was the smarter district! LOL I'm glad it's going away. It's been a cold, yucky day.

OK - Pictures seen and appreciated!!!!!! Now I can officially say that dinner LOOKS Yum in addition to sounding Yum! Even at 6:30 in the morning. Especially dessert!!!!!! I haven't eaten there since it was Alfredo's either, so I think I need a visit!

I can't wait to eat there again! I normally am not a big Italian restaurant eater -- usually because I feel so full afterwards, but for Tutto, I will endure it.

The most annoying part about the "drunks" was maneuvering around them since they wanted to walk six and seven across the entire walkway. :headache:

Works out best so I can try more stuff. :thumbsup2

I am sure Disney makes scads of money off the roving drinkers. :confused3

All the best theme park restaurants seem to be in World Showcase which makes it difficult to plan around. This next trip we want to eat at Le Cellier and Tutto Italia, but I really only want one day at Epcot. Sigh. It's very hard.

Yes, a whole park full of them.

I like Italian food at home, but not usually to eat out -- Tutto was exceptional though. My favorite meal in a long time.

Yes, lots and lots of people -- hundreds of them all walking at a snail's pace. :headache:

We were very pleasantly surprised by our lunch at Tutto too. Glad it did not disappoint.

It was lovely -- both the food and the theming -- it made me want to visit Italy for real.

Looks like you will be able to go see The Nutcracker without any problems.

Yes, you need to revisit! :thumbsup2

Do you know the episode of Friends where Joey is on a date and the girl keeps reaching over to eat some of his food and he finally looks at her and yells "Joey doesn't share food!!"? charles must have been channeling Joey huh?

that is my DH. If there was one thing I could change about him, this would be it. I would love to split food when we go out to eat (I grew up in a family where this was the standard) and he absolutely refuses! (He grew up with 3 brothers so I think he learned to guard his food from scavengers!) It's funny because on the rare occasion when he does share something, it feels like a major treat

I love tiramisu! It is one of the reasons we have Tutto on out backup ADR list. Unfortunately last year I only found it at Mama Melroses and was sadly disappointed. Yours looks delish!

Sorry to hear that WS was a little less then fun.
It looks like dinner was worth it though.popcorn::

Hey sweetie.....longtime since I have been able to post here!! But I am FINALLY all caught up!!! ;)

I am glad you all had such a good meal at Tutto....this year while we were in "Italy," Tom asked....why aren't we eating here?!?!?!?! :) Guess I will need to add that one to the list of MUST DOs next time!!!

Those silly old elves......I love finding out what all they are getting in to.......you are such a creative and crafty Mommy!
