Shaken, Not Stirred, With a Twist of Pixie Dust! A Food and Wine Trip!NEW! Pgs.75,76

I don't know how it happened, but I lost your TR!!:confused3 I always put them in my favorites list and somehow yours dissapeared. Maybe it was your mischevious elves at work!:rotfl: Anyhow, I have found you again, and now I'm off to catch up!:surfweb:

Not looking at the designs...would be too tempting. Although, I am taking a trip soon....hmmmm

You know you want to, Jordan. ;)

Those elves get themselves into a lot during the night.....;)

::yes:: Sometimes they are better behaved than others.

We might have to get an elf for next Christmas. We have friends who say he is keeping an eye out for Santa. The behavior in my house of late needs some intervention...

I like that idea! (If you need help in the "adoption" of an elf, PM me and I will give you the website we used.)

Thanks Jackie, I found some Christmas trivia cards and a couple of mini puzzles for the elves to work on.
I think it will be cute!

I saw that your elves arrived -- what do the kids think of them?

We told the 2nd graders that the elves would be reporting to Santa....;)

I bet you have a very well-behaved class for the niext eight days. ;)

Yeah - the Elves are here to stay!!!!!!! They are so cute and so mischievous! I love the big picture of Chelsea and Connor. That is a great photo!!!!!!

Wait until you see what they did night before last!:laughing:

Thank you! We had that picture taken a few years ago -- it amazes me to see how much they have grown since then.

Tomorrow is now today, so we, um I mean you...get to make cookies today! :dance3:

We made them, and believe it or not, there is just one left now. I guess we need to make some more this next weekend. We do have leftover frosting and sprinkles.

Such fun things going on right now - Christmas activities at school and church, Travel Channel Disney shows, ABC's 25 Days of Christmas,

and 19 more days of The Holiday Adventures of H & I! :santa:

I actually had to make a list of all the shows so I wouldn't forget about any of them. Tonight is Shrek the Halls! :thumbsup2

And sometime later this month, there are some little things, like Christmas and a Disney trip.

I am so excited to see all of your pictures of holiday decorations and DIS meets!

We got about two tiny snowflakes here. A few miles further south they got a little bit. I'll be happy to save my snow for a few January and February mid-week days so we can get out of school! :goodvibes

Snow days during those months are lovely! Charles and I were watching the footage of all that midwestern snow last night and wishing we had some.

All we got was rain. :sad1: So I made the best of it and sang " The Rain rain rain came down down down" to make the best of it.

Many of us here think it is going to be a snowy winter with many snow days. For me, with our budget cuts, if we close due to weather I save money :upsidedow

I have heard that about the number of snow days, too. I think it has something to do with El Nino, but I could just be making that up.

We have no built in snow days - the kids have to make up every single one of them.:sad2: Typically we make up 2 days a year so why not build them in? :confused3

Love Haddon and Ingrid- naughty elves :rotfl:

Perfect example of how school systems don't think things through. :sad2:

Haddon and Ingrid can be very naughty.

Love the elves. I've been thinking about getting Elf on the Shelf for my nephews.

The Believe sign looks great on your mantle!

I'm really curious what resort you chose. I got the 20/30/40 PIN as well and did a HUGE resort switch.

Well, if I could settle on some dates, I would be able to settle on a resort. (Maybe.)

What resort did you switch to?

I'm asking Santa for a PIN for christmas...it would make a great stocking stuffer.

I agree!!! ::yes::

Haddon and Ingrid! How could I not remember these two little devils from last years PTR? I love hearing about all the trouble they get into. What a great tradition. :goodvibes

Snow in Georgia! Pretty cool...snow in NY? Not so cool. When we landed on Long Island last night, it was snowing. Not a great thing to come home to after a week in the happiest place on earth! :sad2:

I guess when you are used to snow, it doesn't have much appeal. Here in the south, it is so rare, that we get all kinds of excited to see it.

Haddon and Ingrid are devils! :lmao:

Hmmm...You found peppermint ice cream sandwiches...was that at W-Mart too? Something about peppermint ice cream...:goodvibes

Yes, they were at Walmart, and then this week, I bought Edy's Peppermint Ice Cream and waffle cones because we saw it on the Disneyland holiday food special on the Food Network.

So the elves were playing cards were they...I hope they weren't gambling...:lmao:...maybe they were playing for the m&ms...

If they had thought of it, I am sure they would have been gambling. :lmao:

OMG...I think that Alice gift card is too cute...it is calling my name...

Did it call loud enough? ;)

I hope you get one in your inbox really soon :wizard:

Me too, Winkers!

I love the elves. Chelsea and Connor must love waking up everyday to them. We're Jewish, but some Disney friends might want to come over to my house and have some fun before a trip. You never know.

I like the idea of the Disney friends coming to visit -- they could bring trip goodies and stuff! :thumbsup2

Yes we did! I started my TR the link is in my sig.

I will have to head over there today.

from your lips to Mickey's ears....

Did you hear that, Mickey??? Winkers needs a pin for her February trip!!!

I love the elves! I wonder if my kids are too old for this...:scratchin

I keep thinking my children are going to outgrow it (at least Chelsea), but she is as enthusiastic about Haddon and Ingrid this year as she was last year.

Love the adventures of the elves.

Please feel free to share as many with us as you want, it just makes me smile. :santa:

Oh, you know me, TK -- I won't be able to resist sharing all their little antics.

Your elf friends are getting into trouble, aren't they? :lmao: They are so cute! What fun you must have when they come and visit! :goodvibes

Chelsea and Connor talk about them all the time during the Christmas season -- they enjoy their visits. I, on the other hand, am a little worn-out with the extra house guests. ;)

Ok- I'm not sure what happened but somehow I lost you. I seen your signature on someone else's post and thought- hey I haven't heard from her in a while. So I went back to my subscriptions and your older TR was on there- but it hasn't been updated or anything because you have new one. I honestly don't know how I missed this. I swear I visited and subscribed. I feel like its been forever since I've read your TR. I mean geeess do you even remember me?! hehe Sooo.. since I have completely missed part of your old TR.. I will try and catch up to this asap. Until next week I have finals exams and things, but I will be able to catch up after that. It's great to find you again! :goodvibes

Hi, Jen!!! Of course, I remember you! :goodvibes I am glad you found me again! Good luck on your exams!

Oh I hear you!!! I like the "eye out for Santa" method!!!:lmao:

My mom always claims I was horribly behaved during the Christmas season because I couldn't deal with the stress of trying to be extra good -- I just cracked under the pressure. :lmao:

Great update!!! Your elves are soo dang cute!! Oh and I am with MeMom... Where is YOUR cookie update??!!! I'll show you mine if you show me yours!!!! :rotfl:

I actually have pictures -- I need to upload them into Photobucket and get them ready -- along with elf pictures and Chelsea and Connor making dinner two weeks in a row.

Can't wait to see your beautiful cookies!

Oh, I am so all over that! I loooooove fruity drinks. I might have to memorize the item and location though, because if I were to have it written down in our trip plans DH would call it proof that I "over-plan". :rolleyes1

Hi! Write it down and then don't tell him! ;) That's what I do, and I am not even kidding -- I always have my drink wish list. ;)

I don't know how it happened, but I lost your TR!!:confused3 I always put them in my favorites list and somehow yours dissapeared. Maybe it was your mischevious elves at work!:rotfl: Anyhow, I have found you again, and now I'm off to catch up!:surfweb:

Yeay! I am glad you found me again!!! :goodvibes

Ok- even though I am wayyyy behind. I still want to comment on your earlier posts. So as I read them I'll comment- and someday I'll be caught up! hehe

First post- I thought it was going to be easy to get up in the morning while at WDW- with it being only DH and I. And of course, he was just like a kid. But I do admit- I had some of my lagging days to.
I swear DH has a tradition in Disney- where he wants to stay up late every night and then sleep in and gets mad because I won't let him. It's quite annoying. I tell him- we are not here to sleep and maybe you should of went to sleep earlier. hehe However, we fly- not drive- soo usually on the way down- I try to sleep and he never can because he's to nervous- so he doesn't let me sleep. hehe

2nd post- When I read about your spicy chicken experience I laughed-- because my DH lovess spicy foods- he likes the feeling of having no lips. hehe Me on the other hand- can do without that feeling. I like spicy food but not when it hurts. hehe

I love the resort colors- its soo pretty.

I really love this trip report so far- its such a relaxed atmosphere- and you guys are enjoying some yummy drinks! :goodvibes

We made them, and believe it or not, there is just one left now. I guess we need to make some more this next weekend. We do have leftover frosting and sprinkles.

I am so excited to see all of your pictures of holiday decorations and DIS meets!

I'm hoping to do a little cookie decorating with Brooklynn before we go to WDW.

Erica's pictures have me ready to see the castle in ice again, and we are really looking forward to the NYE DIS meet. :dance3:

I'll take so many pictures this time, knowing we won't be going back for SIX months!

Love Ingrid and Haddon jumping off the mantel! :rotfl:

I resisted on even clicking on the gift cards link. I know I'll be drooling over them and justifying the cost!

okay, jackie, i have to admit when i saw the elves i didn't "get" it. but then my boss was telling me today about her elf and that she gets into things at their house and is always in a different place every day, that she watches over the kids and that they aren't allowed to touch her. is that what these elves are for? sort of to encourage good behavior during the holidays and then they report back to santa the happenings at your house? when she was telling me about it i thought of you and i was like.....DUH!!!!!! :rotfl:

It's Friiiiiiidaaaaay, my teacher friend!
Fridays are lovely days. :)

Hoping to see some elf fun if you have the chance this weekend.

Have you 'scored' your Mary Poppins tickets yet?

Have a Fabulous Friday. I am heading to Alabama tomorrow. We've got a date with a couple of royal frogs tomorrow! :cool1:

Love the elf adventures! Adorable!

Thank you! They have a good time when they are here.

Ok- even though I am wayyyy behind. I still want to comment on your earlier posts. So as I read them I'll comment- and someday I'll be caught up! hehe

I was pretty proud of ourselves for getting a good start each morning. With Charles, it could have been much worse.

2nd post- When I read about your spicy chicken experience I laughed-- because my DH lovess spicy foods- he likes the feeling of having no lips. hehe Me on the other hand- can do without that feeling. I like spicy food but not when it hurts. hehe

I am the same way -- I like spicy food, but I prefer to still have lips after it.

I love the resort colors- its soo pretty.

Thank you! It was a wonderfully relaxing trip!

I'm hoping to do a little cookie decorating with Brooklynn before we go to WDW.

Erica's pictures have me ready to see the castle in ice again, and we are really looking forward to the NYE DIS meet. :dance3:

We also bought peppermint ice cream and waffle cones this week -- those have been festive and yummy as well.

One day I hope to see the Ice Castle in person. In the meantime, I will enjoy looking at everyone else's pictures. :goodvibes

I'll take so many pictures this time, knowing we won't be going back for SIX months!

Yes, you won't know what to do with six months in between your trips. ;)

If we go in June, it will have been eight months. If we go in July, it will have been nine months. If we go in December, it will have been fourteen months! No wonder Charles doesn't think I can last that long before we go to Disney again. :rotfl:

Love Ingrid and Haddon jumping off the mantel! :rotfl:

I resisted on even clicking on the gift cards link. I know I'll be drooling over them and justifying the cost!

They are two crazy elves for sure.

There are so many great designs you would definitely be justifying the cost.

Very similar. Chelsea and Connor can play with our elves during the day, and I don't know just how much "watching" Haddon and Ingrid do for Santa -- in some ways, they act worse than the kids. :lmao:

It's Friiiiiiidaaaaay, my teacher friend!
Fridays are lovely days. :)

Especially the last Friday before the last Friday before the holidays.

Hoping to see some elf fun if you have the chance this weekend.

I have a whole week's worth to share. They have been busy.

Have you 'scored' your Mary Poppins tickets yet?

Not yet. :(

Have a Fabulous Friday. I am heading to Alabama tomorrow. We've got a date with a couple of royal frogs tomorrow! :cool1:

You, too, MeMom!!! Have a great time with your girls tomorrow! I think we are visiting the royal frogs and the shadow man on Sunday! We may even have to deck ourselves out in Mardi Gras beads when we go. :goodvibes

OOOH I'm going to see the movie tomorrow too....I can't wait!! And yes I will also be wearing my Mardi Gras beads...the one thing you can find in the south all year long...beads LOL!!!!!! I might even bust out my mardi gras masks from Homecoming and wear that too LOL!!! Can't wait!! Hope you guys enjoy the show!!!

Oh, I totally think you should wear the Mardi Gras mask, too! We have some from our trip to New Orleans, but I don't think I am that brave.

Oct. 2, Part 1:

Yummy breakfast. I can actually make mickey pancakes. Which are soo cute. And everytime I make pancakes they have to be mickey. hehe My gma used to make them for me, and then it moved to my parents- and now at 26 yrs old I'm making them for myself and my husband. hehe But I did see a mickey waffle maker at a store once- and I wanted it really bad. I told myself I would think about it because getting mickey waffles is like part of the signature thing at disney, and making them at home might take away from it. But also, making them at home might make memories of disney trips stay alive. I never got it.. but I always think of it when I see them. =D

I definitely know the feeling of being antsy in the morning- especially when I am going to miss the rope drop. I would rather be at every rope drop bright and early- and then go back to the resort half way through the day then miss the rope drop at all. I always half to rush DH to hurry up in the morning. Thats one of the only downfalls of disney- I always feel like I want to rush to do everything and constantly be going- but I find that when I do that I'm super tired for half of my trip and I get worn out by the end. I know that when I relax I have more fun- but thats just not how I work. hehe
Idk if you are reading my TR- but last trip I was so upset because I missed like the 1st 2 days of rope drop- so when we arrived at Epcot- DH let me go up to the front and not miss it- well in the process I lost my husband and we both panicked! Then argued when we found each other- and then felt relieved. hehe We were quickly over it when we entered spaceship earth! :goodvibes

What exactly do the gift cards wristbands do?

Oct. 2, Part 2:
All of the food you tried looks great! I have never been to the festival- I really want to though because 1. I love food, 2. I love trying new food, and 3. part of the experience I love the most at disney is the dining. So I'm sure I would love it.

It's never hard for me to fall asleep when I reach the room- "if" I let myself. hehe

I'm looking forward to seeing the Princess and the Frog too! We'll probably wait until between Christmas and New years!

I guess I'd better dig out my mardi gras beads for it too.

CP, I went out and got the soundtrack for The Princess and the Frog. It is really good. I love it. You kept saying how good it was so when I saw it last night it ended up in my cart. ;)

I really need to get that soundtrack! Maybe it will go on my Christmas list...
I'm glad to hear such good reviews on the movie!

I took my boys to see Old Dogs today and it was killing me to not got the Princess and the Frog. It'll be another week untill I go.:sad2:

I bought holiday peppermint ice cream, too, and I am the only one in the house eating it. Fine with me. :thumbsup2

I hope you get tickets for that show, but even if you change to another show, I am hoping maybe you are close enough to come for the lunch meet. :)

OOOH I'm going to see the movie tomorrow too....I can't wait!! And yes I will also be wearing my Mardi Gras beads...the one thing you can find in the south all year long...beads LOL!!!!!! Man! Why didn't I think of a mask? Would have been a perfect 'hidden' opportunity!

Don't hesitate to go to the movie or buy the soundtrack everyone. They are both excellent. :thumbsup2

I have a feeling that Mickey waffles wouldn't taste quite as good as they do at Disney, but it sure would be fun to make them at home.

I definitely know the feeling of being antsy in the morning- especially when I am going to miss the rope drop. I am always so antsy about getting to the parks first thing in the morning.

What exactly do the gift cards wristbands do?

They are just an easy way to pay for food and drinks at the various kiosks.

Oct. 2, Part 2:

You would LOVE the Food and Wine Festival!

I'm looking forward to seeing the Princess and the Frog too! We'll probably wait until between Christmas and New years!

We are very excited about going today.

CP, I went out and got the soundtrack for The Princess and the Frog. It is really good. I love it. You kept saying how good it was so when I saw it last night it ended up in my cart. ;)

It makes me grin from ear to ear everytime we listen to it in the car.

I really need to get that soundtrack! Maybe it will go on my Christmas list...
I'm glad to hear such good reviews on the movie!

It is so much fun to listen to it in the car on the way to and from school.

I took my boys to see Old Dogs today and it was killing me to not got the Princess and the Frog. It'll be another week untill I go.:sad2:

How was Old Dogs?

I bought holiday peppermint ice cream, too, and I am the only one in the house eating it. Fine with me. :thumbsup2

We have been eating that ice cream like it is going out of style lately. :thumbsup2

I hope you get tickets for that show, but even if you change to another show, I am hoping maybe you are close enough to come for the lunch meet. :)

Yes, even if we end up going to a different show, I will come down for lunch. :goodvibes

Man! Why didn't I think of a mask? Would have been a perfect 'hidden' opportunity!

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2: That would have been great!!!

Don't hesitate to go to the movie or buy the soundtrack everyone. They are both excellent. :thumbsup2

Heading to the movie this afternoon!!! :thumbsup2
