Shaken, Not Stirred, With a Twist of Pixie Dust! A Food and Wine Trip!NEW! Pgs.75,76

Yay for the wristbands! I should have done that...it would have been a lot more convenient than stumbling through my wallet every couple steps!
Bring on the food!! :yay:

And the geese!! Oops sorry about the double post! I must have been really excited about the geese!

LOL!!! Love it Jackie!!!!! Activate and use those wristbands to your hearts content!!! I really enjoyed Food and Wine although I think next year I would like to spend some more time in EPCOT and just stroll around LOL!!

Awww I'm glad you and Charles had a great start to your morning! He does look like he is having a great time!!!! I'm also happy to hear you took a few moments to not rush and enjoy yourself too!!!!!

Once again another great update!! Can't wait for more!!

Well, although you were heartily missed at MNSSHP, I would have to say that you had a lovely, relaxing first evening! It sounds divine.

Well, except for the part where your lips almost got seared off. I can't handle spicy food at all, I would have been weeping and begged to be put out of my misery. :lmao:

And what is this? I feel like we need a new superhero name for Charles, Mr. I Didn't Come to Sit in the Room and Watch TV. Stand back, Batman! It's DISNEY TOURING MAN to the rescue!!!! :goodvibes

I say this all in good fun, you realize. I wouldn't want Charles to be reading over your shoulder and saying, he-ey...she was much nicer in person. :lmao:

I'm so glad that you had a great start to your first full day, and I'm all with Charles. Champagne at 1000am? WOO HOO!!!! I love the power of the wrist cards. I can't wait to see what happens next, as I'm sure they were put to good use. ;)

those gift cards are so cute!

I can't wait to see all the yummy food you had!

You are so cute with your matching wrist bands! :cutie:

I'm with Charles, it's never too early for champagne.

I have to say that Charles looks happier in that picture with his champagne then in any of your summer ones. I guess he's just a Food & Wine type of guy.

THAT is a big ditto for me too!!!! :thumbsup2 A mimosa w/o the orange juice... who needs all that sugar??!!! :rotfl:

He looks very happy and I Love those "swipe and gorge" gift cards... :rotfl:

Hey, Champagne at 10:00 a.m. is ok when you're on vacation! ;)

Now I want one of those spicy sandwiches at the CBR food court! We'll be staying there in January.

I don't know if we'll do breakfast at CBR--I like to get up early and hit the parks, DH likes to take it slow and sip a few cups of coffee. I may need to convince him he can walk around with a cup of coffee inside the park too!

Festival Center opens at 9... where were you?? ;) Love Charles' logic - a mimosa w/o the OJ! :thumbsup2 Perfectly reasonable!!

Also loving the Wonder Twins reference! ::yes::

I did pretty well w/ the champagne and Soarin' guess!

Lastly, I am wishing I could have a Mickey waffle for dinner. :rolleyes1

Before we left, Charles bought a glass of champagne from the Wonders Bar.

“Champagne at 10:00 in the morning??? Ewww!” I hushed after Charles pointed out that it was like a mimosa without the orange juice. I tried a sip, but it was much too dry for me. I am so not a champagne connoisseur.

:thumbsup2 i say champagne at 10:00 in the morning sounds good to me!

:rotfl2:

Yum! Mickey waffles :cloud9:

When I started reading, I got a little nervous that Charles wouldn't get out of bed :rotfl2: But he seems quite happy with his glass of champagne. Ron Browz, Jim Jones, and Juelz Santana's Pop Champagne just came mind. Listen to the song. I think it could be Charles' theme song for your first morning :lmao:

Hmmmm....the gift cards...how convenient!!!

Almost too convenient...:rolleyes1

You are so cute with your matching wrist bands! :cutie:

Awww, thanks! :goodvibes I was in love with my wrist band.

Charles was so different on this trip. I wish we could take our big vacation in October every year.

Champagne at 10:00 in the morning !!!!! Charles is SO my kind of guy !:thumbsup2 What a tease you are, I'm dying for that F&W food porn now !!!!!

Charles spotted that Wonders Bar and was over there in a flash. I think he was their first customer of the day. LOL!

It's ready to go in the next update. ;)

WTG Charles on the early morning bubbly!

Did you switch husbands from the last trip?

I like those wristband cards, I can really see how they would be handy at F&W!

Charles was so pleasant to be around on this trip -- I kept waiting for something catastrophic to happen. :lmao:

Those wristband cards were the best invention ever!

YUM, that Mickey waffle looks so good! What is it that everything with a Mickey face tastes better? :goodvibes

You are so right! I wish I had a Mickey waffle iron here at home.

I have to say, I'm with Charles on the champagne. YUMO! What a great way to start a day at Epcot! :thumbsup2

Looks like a start of a great day!

We were off to a good start between the Mickey waffles, the champagne, and Soarin'.

Those wristband gc's are adorable.

Thank you! Mine didn't leave my wrist the entire time we were in Epcot.

Your Mickey waffle looks delicious!

The gift cards are such a great idea.

I don't know if I could drink straight champagne at 10 a.m. in the real world, but at Disney World, anything is possible!

It was delicious. I almost went with the kids' portion with the three little ones, but decided I wanted a huge waffle.

At Disney World anything is possible, but 10:00 still seemed early for champagne -- now an hour later, I was feeling differently about the drinking. :rotfl:

I'm with you! I just don't like champagne. :confused3

I've tried and tried, but even Welch's Sparkling White Grape is too much for me -- I think it's partly the bubbles.

Yay for the wristbands! I should have done that...it would have been a lot more convenient than stumbling through my wallet every couple steps!
Bring on the food!! :yay:

They were so convenient. We were able to reload them, too, once we ran out of money the first time. ;)

:rotfl: The geese are coming...

LOL!!! Love it Jackie!!!!! Activate and use those wristbands to your hearts content!!! I really enjoyed Food and Wine although I think next year I would like to spend some more time in EPCOT and just stroll around LOL!!

We strolled and strolled, but next time I don't want to be there on a Saturday -- a weekday would be so much better.

Awww I'm glad you and Charles had a great start to your morning! He does look like he is having a great time!!!! I'm also happy to hear you took a few moments to not rush and enjoy yourself too!!!!!

It was almost work to convince myself that I didn't have to rush, rush, rush.

Once again another great update!! Can't wait for more!!

Thank you!

never having been to a food and wine.... what did the wristbands do??

They were just giftcards with whatever amount of money you wanted to put on them. Then, when you are ordering food from the various kiosks, you can just use the giftcards. It was super convenient, and I liked that you could see the balance remaining after using it each time.

Well, although you were heartily missed at MNSSHP, I would have to say that you had a lovely, relaxing first evening! It sounds divine.

I would have loved to ride Pirates with everyone and have a Dole Whip, but we did have a divine evening.

Well, except for the part where your lips almost got seared off. I can't handle spicy food at all, I would have been weeping and begged to be put out of my misery.

:lmao: Thank goodness the pina colada was able to take some of the sting away! ;)

:rotfl2: Charles is used to me joking so no worries.

Very good use...:rolleyes1

those gift cards are so cute!

I can't wait to see all the yummy food you had!

There was lots of eating -- and I did really well on taking pictures of what we consumed. :thumbsup2

It's 5 o'clock somewhere....just sayin

:rotfl: I believe it would have been somewhere in Europe at that point of the day.

THAT is a big ditto for me too!!!! :thumbsup2 A mimosa w/o the orange juice... who needs all that sugar??!!!

:lmao: Charles would agree with you, I am sure!

He looks very happy and I Love those "swipe and gorge" gift cards...

Very happy! "Swipe and Gorge" -- oh, that is so the new name for the gift cards, Happydog!!! :rotfl2:

Hey, just say away ... say away....

I think I have it almost figured out -- at 10:00 in the morning, it would be 5:00 somewhere in central Europe -- is Italy seven hours ahead or do we have to look farther west?

Hey, Champagne at 10:00 a.m. is ok when you're on vacation! ;)

I would have to agree!

Now I want one of those spicy sandwiches at the CBR food court! We'll be staying there in January.

They are very spicy so be forewarned! ::yes::

I don't know if we'll do breakfast at CBR--I like to get up early and hit the parks, DH likes to take it slow and sip a few cups of coffee. I may need to convince him he can walk around with a cup of coffee inside the park too!

I have managed to scope out good coffee kiosks/places at each of the parks at this point so that I can do just that -- stroll and sip...

Festival Center opens at 9... where were you?? ;) Love Charles' logic - a mimosa w/o the OJ! :thumbsup2 Perfectly reasonable!!

:lmao: We were still on a bus...:rolleyes1

Also loving the Wonder Twins reference! ::yes::

I kept saying that all weekend, too. Charles laughed the first couple of times, but I am pretty sure he was rolling his eyes by the end of the weekend when I would say it.

I did pretty well w/ the champagne and Soarin' guess!

You know us too well, C! :goodvibes

Lastly, I am wishing I could have a Mickey waffle for dinner.

Me too! Or at least for breakfast tomorrow -- or lunch -- or afternoon tea...

I just love reading trip reports.

Thank you!

Go Charles!! Oh boy, yummy food pics coming up!

Very, very soon! Like "next update" soon! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 i say champagne at 10:00 in the morning sounds good to me!

:rotfl2:

An hour later and I decided it was time for rum. :lmao:

Yum! Mickey waffles :cloud9:

I will have to go check out the song on itunes, Jen! It sounds like a winner for Charles.

I guess next June you will have to liquor him up to get him going. It looks like he was very excited to spend time with you! I think this whole trip is taking a very sweet tone!
Can't wait to read more.
Don't like champagne but could totally do the rum at 11:00. Do tell what you had!

:lmao: Maybe I should put some champagne in his morning orange juice each day in June! ;)

It was nice to spend the weekend with just Charles -- we hadn't done that in a very long time!

I will show and tell what I had in the next update. :thumbsup2
