While we definitely missed you at MNSSHP!! I'm glad you and Charles were able to have a fun and relaxing evening enjoying each other's company along with DTD and the Boardwalk!!! Paula and I took a stroll over to that area and I just loved the Boardwalk/Beach Club area!!! I'm definitely going to have to stay there some day!!

OOOH..I'm a big buffalo wings fan...actually just had them for dinner!! So that sandwhich sounds yummy although I'm glad you were able to find something help cool you down!! Too funny that you were carded and Charles wasn't LOL!!!!

Can't wait to hear more about your trip!! I hope the school year is going well for you Jackie!!!

He informed that he didn’t come on vacation to sit in the hotel room and watch TV.

OMG!!! No he didn't???!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Bless him!

Love the earrings!

Oh, CBR looks beautiful!! :cloud9: Thank you for posting those pictures. It looks very relaxing.

I'm a little sad you didn't go to MNSSHP, only because I know how much you wanted too but it looks like you had a wonderful evening!

Looks like you had a great night.
I'm glad you got to explore the boardwalk. It's really fun; especially with out kids.;):rotfl:
We always stay on the boardwalk and love walking around there.
Next month I'll be seeing BC, YC, and BW decorated for christmas.:cloud9:
Hope everybody is feeling better!:hug::grouphug:

Wow! Getting carded!! That is so refreshing isn't it? I love it when it happens! Sounds like a nice way to start off your vaca!!

The relaxing pics of you all at CBR are so cute. That place is just so pretty... can't wait for more. I would love to do DTD without kids... how fun!

Boardwalk is another one of those places that I'd really enjoy getting to. Maybe this trip...especially since we'll have a car.

We're staying at CBR in June - I love your pictures. Hopefully, everyone in our group will be pleased with that choice. I know I'm excited - all of the pictures I keep seeing on these TRs keep convincing me SIL and I picked well.

Can't wait to hear about Epcot!

the pina coladas by the pool sound so nice right now! it's been so cold and drizzly here....it's depressing!

MATT! I miss my "friend" Matt. Glad to know he's still there. I'm also glad he lived up to his billing.:thumbsup2

i knew i recognized that name from ESPN zone! i had heard about matt through jordan's TR. erica and i actually saw him last year but just from afar - we didn't go to the bar, just walked through. anyway, grey goose is my FAVORITE vodka and it goes so well with cranberry juice....nice choice! :thumbsup2

Ah Jackie,

The irony of Charles not wanting to go on vaca to stay in the room to watch tv...:lmao:

CBR looks lovely...I haven't seen as much of it as the CSR or Port Orleans...but it looks lovely...:goodvibes...hope we get to see some more...:rolleyes1

(you could do a whole Pirate themed get away-staying at the CSR...doing the Pirates Cruise...etc., etc...)

Poor Chelsea...was she having Vacation envy, missing you guys or was Connor driving her nuts...Or all three ....;)

You go girl...getting carded...:thumbsup2

Those bags are really cute...I love the D&B...hmmm....wonder if that would make a nice 16 bd gift...:confused3

I was thinking it would make a nice Christmas gift for a 41 yr. old. (ahem - that would be me). ;)

Well this 41 yr. old girl thinks they would make a great Christmas gift for you...:goodvibes...(I wouldn't mind one myself...;))

Sigh...I guess I have 16th B-days on the mind today...

All caught up! It looks like CBR is agreat resort! It's on my list now for sure. I hope you got Matt's autograph? :goodvibes Oh, and I loved the Toy Story Mania you created on your table!

Ahhh what a great start to your trip. Those pina coladas look delishhh! That's funny that they carded you and not Charles :rotfl:

The BW area is so peaceful and watching Illuminations from there sounds wonderful :cloud9:

Charles the cradle-robber. :lmao: I got carded on my trip too and I tell you what, it made my night. In fact I must have been smiling so wide that another guy in line commented on it. To think I'm even on the bubble of 21 is a compliment. But I suppose in that heat with everyone's hair in pony-tails it is hard to tell.

LOVE your sunset pics. CBR looks lovely! :thumbsup2

Your favorite way to start an Epcot day. Hmmm... does it involve champagne? ;) Or Soarin' over California?

Has Chelsea recovered from your going without her? :rolleyes1

This was a GREAT update!!! HEY!!!! My DH had that exact same sandwich the night we ate at the food court!!! YUP he said the same thing -- SPICY! It looked very good! Your evening sounds great... And yes it is a nice area there by the pool, I thought it was perfect! Your photos are better than mine :rotfl:

Boardwalk area seems so pleasant. I want to stroll around there on my Dec trip...

Did I miss that you have your plans for next summer yet??? :rolleyes1

Joining in a little late! (sorry!)

I love it that you got carded!

It's great to see so many pics of you. I guess that's one benefit of a kid-free trip, huh?

Your first night sounds relaxing and wonderful!

Guess what?!?

We just purchased our plane tickets to spend Christmas in Charleston with DH's grandparents!

Your pictures are lovely. What a wonderfully relaxing night. And of course I love your earrings.

Can't wait to read about your Epcot day.

Hey sweetie......got myself all caught up....finished off June's trip, and enjoying so much the details of your little rendezvous with Charles!!!! I am hoping that he makes MANY more appearances this time than the last!!! ;) I hope you enjoyed it dearie!!!!

What lovely pics of the resort! I had never thought about that resort as an option. It sounds like it would be a great place when you are driving.

Thank you! We were impressed with CBR, but it did help having a car there.

So after he made the comment about not watching TV on vacation, did it hit him what he had just said or was he oblivious????? I don't think I could've held my tongue on that comment!:rolleyes1

I believe I commented on that one as soon as Charles said it. I couldn't help myself.

Ahhhhhh... CBR my home in 2008.

I got one of those Celebration cards too.

I think Jellyrolls gets hopping after 10pm.

CBR was very pretty.

It was such a nice touch coming back and finding the card. I am easily impressed. LOL!

One of these days we will get to visit the Disney Jellyrolls.

:lmao: You always find the best pictures, Shocker!

CBR looks like a lovely resort (I think LL should choose it!! :thumbsup2)
Didn't you :lovestruc TrenD? I spent A LOT of money in there but am very happy with what I got so it's okay (the big ticket items were a Dooney & Bourke Disney purse and one of those crazy "Harvey's" purses made out of seatbelts with Mickey all over it...oh and a make-up bag too :rotfl:)
A goose before your other geese at Epcot? :lmao:
:yay: for getting asked for id....I don't even think that happens to me in the grocery store anymore :sad2: I must have been stamped on my forehead when I turned 39!:laughing:
Like the earrings too! :yay:

Tracy

Thanks, Tracy! TrenD was fun to browse around but Charles always throws me off my shopping game. He follows me around saying, "Do you see something you like?" and then I can't think. Maybe that is his plan!

I haven't been carded in forever -- it was a nice surprise!

Sorry for the hijack Jackie, Tracy, could you post a picture of your D&B bag?

Don't apologize, Anita! I wanted to see the purses, too! :goodvibes

Great update Jackie. So Charles thinks that a vacation should not be spent watching tv??? That statement cracked me up after reading previous reports:lmao: Looks like you got a great start to your vacation. Sitting by the pool & having a drink:cloud9: Anxious to hear about your first day at Epcot.

The evening was a great start to the vacation, but I burst out laughing when Charles said that about staying in the room. ;)

Great update Jackie! It looks like a lovely afternoon and evening and plan B worked out perfectly. Bummer about the texts...we certainly have that experience any time we try to get away. Texting is great but oh, if they could email all of it at once it would be so much easier, faster and just taken care of!

Chelsea is a texting queen -- getting unlimited texting was a wise choice on our part.

Of course then we'd have to buy them smart phones. I suppose a text is getter than the actual call when you are on vacation.

I do prefer texts, but Chelsea also called us while we were away. She missed us, I guess.

I'm glad Charles recognized sitting inside and watching TV was not an ideal way to start out the trip. 2 happy pictures of him so far....very encouraging!

And more to come. :goodvibes

I just bought that bag from Zappos and am planning to return it as I'm really worried about the stiffness of the strap chafing my shoulder in summer. Does it soften up? it is SO cute.

What other bags did they have

ok this is a total hijack! I'm sorry!!!

Any discussion of purses is not hijacking in my opinion. ;)

So I came over to this trip report because I know there will be some crawfish etouffee involved!!!!!

And because I just want to read along, too! :goodvibes

:welcome: Yes, crawfish etouffee and lots of other yummies to come! :thumbsup2
