Shaken, Not Stirred, With a Twist of Pixie Dust! A Food and Wine Trip!NEW! Pgs.75,76

I have to say...as a non-breakfast eater, I don't know how someone can sit and spend precious morning hours with food in front of them when there is touring to be done (now, come middle of the afternoon...give me a snack, a nap or a swim in the pool anyday. I guess it's good we are all different huh!)

I would be with Charles on the morning champagne :thumbsup2 Funny how I can't stand dry wine but with champagne, I don't mind. Must be the bubbles!

I have started noticing that if I don't eat on a regular basis, I become an absolute bear and no fun to be around. I figured the little bit of time it would take for us to eat a good breakfast would pay off in the long run -- I didn't want to have another meltdown at Epcot like last summer.

I have tried really hard to like champagne, but I think I am at the point where I can admit that I just don't like it. I am sure Charles didn't mind having that whole glass. :lmao:

Champagne at 10 a.m. and candy for breakfast. . . hum wouldn't they both be on the same level. Vacation!!!

Love the Wonder Twins!! I did not realize they have those cards. I'm with you-when we are late for rope drop (which does not happen too often) I get worried & want to be there!! On our next trip in May (just DH & I) I promised we would not have to get up early but I am starting to rethink that. Did someone say RUM? Sounds great to me.:)

You really can't beat a Mickey Waffle...which reminds me-I should looking on line to find a Mickey Waffle Maker for the holidays...David and I would be blissed out...:goodvibes

Cute cards for F & W...:thumbsup2...(I feel your pain on not being at rope drop...but after a few days...you could probably get very used to a more mellow schedule...;)

OMG...I don't think I've ever parted company with the CP's opinions before...so this is a first...but...I so agree with Charles on the champagne...Champagne at 10 works for me (& I'm not even a really big drinker...but I love Champagne...with or without the oj...;)

(BTW -off topic...did you know that the great grandson (or something like that) of Bram Stoker just wrote a sequel to Dracula? I might just have to read it...book purchasing freeze or not...;)

I was a few pages behind, forgive me for bringing up "old" posts! :goodvibes

So I wake up this morning - far too early - and start thinking... did I just dream what I thought I dreamt? Allow me to explain.
I had a dream that I met our very own Charleston Princess!! Not that weird considering I had been reading TR's before bed. The weird part is how and where I met her. No, not at WDW. Here in Minnesota!! Our schools are closed today and tomorrow for teacher meetings (we call it MEA). So in my dream, she was here for teacher meetings. I am NOT a teacher in real life, but for some reason I was there at the meeting too! I recognized her from the TRs and started chatting her up, talking about her cute purse!! :lmao:

TOO WEIRD! I hope I do get to meet you someday! But I think I'd rather do it at Disney!!

:rotfl: If CP's gonna be in Minnesota, I want to meet her too!!! :thumbsup2

so instead we went to the ESPN Zone where Matt (a wonderful bartender!)

Great pictures of both of you! And I love your earrings! I'm going to try to remember to scope those out in December.

I'm sorry you didn't get to go to MNSSHP; however, it does sound like a very lovely and relaxing evening. And getting carded had to feel pretty good, eh? :goodvibes

How many DISers recognized Matt the Bartenders as Jordon's bartender?

CBR looks very beautiful!!!

LOVE that bag!!!!!!!!!! Very, very cute!

:rotfl2:
It sounds like you are off to your own World Showcase Mission - probably a lot better than the four you did with Connor...:rolleyes1

Looking forward to the food!

That Mickey waffle is huge! I've only had the ones from the cruise, and they are teenie tiny!

I almost spit out my drink when I read the statement about Charles not wanting to stay in the room on vacation! :rotfl2:

Denise

Yup .... Charles still looks like my friend Chuck - even more so with the glass of bubbly in his hand at 10am. :rotfl2:

You are off to a good Epcot start. With FP's in one hand and that little wrist thingy with its super powers in the other hand - there is just no stopping the two of you!

Bring it!

Champagne at 10 a.m. and candy for breakfast. . . hum wouldn't they both be on the same level. Vacation!!!

Good point! I guess we like to break rules when we are at Disney. :lmao:

Love the Wonder Twins!! I did not realize they have those cards. I'm with you-when we are late for rope drop (which does not happen too often) I get worried & want to be there!! On our next trip in May (just DH & I) I promised we would not have to get up early but I am starting to rethink that. Did someone say RUM? Sounds great to me.

Those cards were so wonderful to have for buying food and such! Wait until you see what happens on the second morning in regards to taking it easy! :rolleyes1 I have decided I can do rum at any hour of the day!

Charles looks like he's really enjoying himself this time.

Love the bracelets!!

Charles had a really good time which was music to my ears since it means more Disney trips in our future! :thumbsup2

Our little Festival gift card bracelets were so much fun!

You really can't beat a Mickey Waffle...which reminds me-I should looking on line to find a Mickey Waffle Maker for the holidays...David and I would be blissed out...

There are such things out there??? Must go investigate...

Cute cards for F & W...:thumbsup2...(I feel your pain on not being at rope drop...but after a few days...you could probably get very used to a more mellow schedule...

I am so Type A though that I don't know if I could ever mellow out that much at Disney!

OMG...I don't think I've ever parted company with the CP's opinions before...so this is a first...but...I so agree with Charles on the champagne...Champagne at 10 works for me (& I'm not even a really big drinker...but I love Champagne...with or without the oj...

That's okay -- you can have the champagne, and I will take care of the rum! :lmao:

(BTW -off topic...did you know that the great grandson (or something like that) of Bram Stoker just wrote a sequel to Dracula? I might just have to read it...book purchasing freeze or not...

Books are never off-topic on my TR! :thumbsup2 I would love to read that sequel! I wonder if my library will have it?

I was a few pages behind, forgive me for bringing up "old" posts!

Bring up anything you want, Brook! :goodvibes

:rotfl: If CP's gonna be in Minnesota, I want to meet her too!!!

We can have a DIS meet if I ever make it that far north! :thumbsup2

Great pictures of both of you! And I love your earrings! I'm going to try to remember to scope those out in December.

Thank you! I found them at World of Disney, but noticed they were at our resort gift shop as well. They were only $11 which is about my speed for jewelry.

I'm sorry you didn't get to go to MNSSHP; however, it does sound like a very lovely and relaxing evening. And getting carded had to feel pretty good, eh?

It was a wonderful evening, and I even got to see fireworks which is always a plus!

How many DISers recognized Matt the Bartenders as Jordon's bartender?

I was so excited to have him as our bartender after reading Jordan's TR! :rotfl:

CBR looks very beautiful!!!

It was very pretty!

:lmao: A much better mission, in my opinion!

I'm sure Charles is of European descent so it works for me! Drink away!;)

:rotfl:

Denise

The adult-size Mickey waffles are kind of big, but I managed to eat every last bite of it. :rolleyes1

Wasn't that hysterical? I about fell off my chair when it came out of his mouth.

Yup .... Charles still looks like my friend Chuck - even more so with the glass of bubbly in his hand at 10am. :rotfl2:

Isn't that funny about your friend and Charles?

We were unstoppable on our mission to eat as much as possible! :rotfl:

Another Trip-Report Interlude:

We had a five-day weekend this week because of state-mandated furloughs (I can't even tell you how ready I am to go back to work tomorrow), so we had some fun the first part of the week.

On Monday we went in search of Halloween costumes. Chelsea wanted to be Alice in Wonderland, but all the costumes she tried on weren't quite fitting correctly. We went to three different places and FINALLY at Party City, she found something she liked. She is going to be Little Red Riding Hood. Watch out Wolf because this Hood isn't afraid of anybody or anything!

Connor, on the other hand, was not having any luck! After Party City, I asked him if he wanted to go to the next two places we had mapped out. He declined, saying, "I just can't handle any more disappointment." Sigh. Hopefully he can find something before the 31st.

Yesterday we had Haunted Mansion Day! Awhile back I found this CD on Amazon. It is a re-release of an album originally produced in 1969 for the opening of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. It is a 25-minute story about two teenagers who get stuck in the HM during a rainstorm. Very cute with lots of the sound effects we so love on that attraction. The second track is Grim Grinning Ghosts.

I also found this link to lots of neat Haunted Mansion printables.

So, we made our own Haunted Mansion graveyard:

And played a couple of games of Haunted Mansion Clue:

If only we could have ridden the ride a couple of times to finish things off!

Ohhhhhh, thanks for the website! I'm off to take a peek!
Chelsea looks awfully sweet in the Red Riding Hood costume. I hope Connor finds something sooner than later. I'm sure he's anxious to find something cool!

You're welcome, Anita! There is a lot of cute HM stuff on the site.

Thanks -- I think Chelsea looks pretty darling as well -- Connor is being a Costume Diva and isn't happy with anything right now.

$48.18 later I'm back from Amazon with the HM CD on it's way plus a few books for my classroom.
Thanks Jackie!

Yes, the CD was just around $11. The other books I'll have to blame on Laura. She is the one that introduced us to the Jullian books and now the kids want the sequels.....
