Loved Morgan's packing list. Kaylee has added to hers a few things like Ipod, Gameboy, DVD's for minivan and AG doll since I posted it. We have a long ride she can't forget that stuff LOL. I sure hope you get your costume in time, I bet you will. You have less then 2 weeks

I reminded Morgan she didnt have her AG doll or her ipod on her list.

I think I'll bring 1 dvd player on the plane between the both of them. they can both plug into that. Then watch movies from the ipods after that if they need to. I hate to lug ANY dvd players on the plane actually but on a 5 1/2 hour flight I see the need for one.

Well, honestly, I feel like I'm twiddling my thumbs for time to pass. We had a very busy weekend. 5 birthday parties, a dance company party, a football game and the usual dance classes.

We've got a pretty busy week and then the couple days just prior to leaving are filled with working at the school, conferences, DR's appts but right now I'm just sitting here hoping the time goes faster. Its dragging for some reason. Like I've hit some sort of Disney lull. Its so close yet so far away.

OMG! I just noticed there is a Space Shuttle launch when we are there. How cool would that be to take the kids to that.

Having been to a few myself I know they are not guaranteed by any means but if there is a chance. Maybe I should look into renting a car.

I loved seeing the launches when I lived there. Jeff just told me last night he never saw one. I thought he came with me and had but I guess the successful ones took off when I was with my girlfriends. Now we must go!

Nope, I dont have a disney visa and they havent released to the GP yet. I have such a good deal at POP on the fall discount I'm not going to sweat it.

UPDATE!

I got my costume! arty:

Only one problem. Its HUGE. I mean Its ginormous. I ordered it way to large. This is why I ordered it so early so I could exchange it if I needed it too but now with the problems i had with it I dont want to chance it and I'm stuck. I was mad at first. Well, not mad but disappointed it was too big. sometimes costumes are sized small so I ordered up. Well, I probably could have ordered 2 sizes smaller. I look like a cow in it. Jeff keeps reminding me that the Queen of Hearts is no small lady so I just look authentic. I punched him in the arm for that one.

I mean I'm not tiny to begin with but this just makes it worse. YUCK. Other than that I LOVE IT. The bottom is HUGE and I mean that part in a good way. It comes out just like in the movie with tons of layers of tulle. It is a large costume and will take up a lot of space in the suitcase but it will be worth it! I am finishing the alterations on the mad hatter costume this morning then we are all done and the costumes will be packed! I'll try to get luggage shots up later today!

I plan on running to Target to get last minute toiletries. I know I still have 9 days left but the last 5 are very busy with activities and I dont want to be stressed out and forget anything so I want to do that today.

I'm a little worried on suitcase space. We are flying southwest so we can all check 2 suitcases but I dont have enough large ones for everyone. We really dont travel as often as my dreams do! I might have to start borrowing from friends!

My video camera is AWESOME! I took a few shots of Jake's football game and got them onto the computer in a few seconds instead of hours with my old one. I am in LOVE with it. Jeff's afraid I'll leave him and marry the video camera. The kids are singing "Shawna and the video camera sitting in a tree, KISSING" They dont know any other words.

Here is the promised shot of my camera. For some reason I was outside so I set it on my trampoline which was dirty with leaves.

Sorry, I digress, I love me some Jane Austen. Not the most accurate of adaptations on the planet but the Keira Knightley version is still enjoyable.

41 hours in LP mode of VIDEO on the hard drive. Now that is what I'm TALKIN' about!!!! YEAH!

And to prove that my dog is not so innocent I tried to take a picture on the floor of my costume so I could get the best angle. Well, she would have nothing of it.

Jeff had a good point. In the heat and humidity its better to be huge and not stick to my body like a smaller one would. I might not be so hot in there with it not against my skin! I'll look at it this way that I'm glad the velvet doesnt touch my tummy!

Looking at it this morning I think I'm just going to leave it. My mom looked at it and says it would take a lot of work to alter it, sleeves, bodice and skirt would all have to be taken in. That might cost quite a bit and is way beyond my sewing skill level. I hate to mess it up. Oh well, Jeff is right. The queen is large and so will I be!
