~~~SEWING my way to POFQ ~ American Girl outfits & Custom Park Bags! ~~~
i really want to comment... But some time last night, our internet went down... I am currently thumbing it on my phone.
Disneyfreak508 welcome! I am so excited you're here... I read your entire frumpin TR a couple of months ago, it was very well written and i really enjoyed it. I didn't comment because it was already moved to the completed section. Anyways... I make the outfits, i sell them to whoever wants to buy them. When i sell all of them, i go to wdw. :) although, now i've thrown park bags into the mix too... Fun, fun. I hope you'll continue to follow along on my ptr.
Everyone else.... I called tech support this morning, after dh checked all our connections in the house and determined it's the phone company and not us. They won't be able to look at the prob until tomorrow, so no pictures until the internet is fixed, sorry. Although i have been able to get it to work intermittantly, so if by chance i can get on later and get them to upload, i will.
So bummed, D~ can't live without internet. :(
D~
Poor D~! :hug:
Hope it gets back up and running quick!!!!
OK - so I am writing this in word - since I know that the second I try to post, my internet will go down, and I will be so mad when I lose my whole post. I've been able to get my internet to work intermittently throughout the morning, for about 5 minute blocks of time. Just super annoying. Thankfully, my machines don't need internet to work... but I really want to get these photos uploaded, so I can go on with my day.
Anyways... this is one of my test bags. It is an autograph/Epcot passport bag. It is intended for young kids, about the 4 - 8 y/o age range. Old enough to be out of a stroller and walk. The bag is designed to hold a standard Disney autograph book, an Epcot passport & a Sharpie. I wanted to design this test bag on a Princess theme, so the little girl who is testing it did get to pick her favorite princess for the bag - since I had no preference. :)
The finished bag size is approx. 7.5" wide x 6" tall.
As usual, the bag is fully quilted on the outside. The inside is fully lined. It closes with a zipper. The strap is quilted for comfort, but not adjustable on this particular bag (wondering if I should make it adjustable in the future???).
I am not thrilled with the appliqué on this particular bag. My brother machine started acting up, and I couldn't get it to do the pupils - so Bell has a bit of an alien stare going on. I am so happy to have Mr. Rocket up and running and I am super excited to do my first appliqué with him today.
I do plan to work on an autograph/passport bag this afternoon that is a bit bigger for the 8-12 y/o people... they'd be able to carry a few extra items... sunglasses, lip gloss, small wallet. However, I don't believe that kids should be pack mules - so these bags are designed for only the necessities.
It's taken me 6 tries to get these 4 photos uploaded... Now, if I can get them posted... Grrr...
D~
I love the autograph/passport bag. So cute and what a great idea. I know 2 little girls who would love them. I will have to remember that when they plan their next Disney trip.
Let me just say you are amazingly talented! :worship::worship::worship: i only can dream that I could be as talented as you. I want you to start giving lessons, I will come to you!
^^^ Thanks! :) How about we just meet at WDW??? You're payin' right? LOL
D~
Now, see I was just about to post something un nice...about 'someone' using no internet as an excuse to not post pictures...and then you go and post the pictures!
Gorgeous as always!
bummer about your internet hope they get it fixed soon!
love the Belle bag! perfect size for a little one!
D~, how am I supposed to get unmad at you when you go and do things like this? Now I'll HAVE to figure out how to make one for DD. :lmao::rotfl2:
Sorry, but I had to move you back down to the bottom of the list. Maybe tomorrow. ;)
:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:
If you didn't guess, I absolutely LOVE the bag and the idea of it being for a child to carry autograph book, pen, and Epcot passport!!! :love:
Love love love it. Can't wait to see the 8-12 set bag.
Sorry all... Internet is back up and running... Yay.
I had a rough morning and ended up in the ER. :eek:
I've been having some pretty unusual and very painful pains in my ribs for the last few weeks (DH says months)... Sometimes, it's so painful that I can't stand up straight - and even once I broke out in a heavy sweat. Then I have to take 2 Aleve, followed by 2 ibuprofen, followed by 2 tylenol, every two hours until the pain stops... It's really horrible. Well, I've been ignoring it - hoping it would go away. Then over the last few weeks, I've noticed that I am short of breath, almost all the time. Last night, as I was falling asleep, I started to feel as if someone was sitting on my chest. When I woke up, I felt fine... then as I was sewing this morning, I started feeling a lot of pressure again. So, I called my Dr. to make an appt... the receptionist freaked out and put the triage nurse on the line... who told me to go immediately to the ER. Even told me not to drive... I drove anyways - bad me - but there wasn't anyone else around to take me.
So, you walk into the ER, saying you are out of breath and chest pressure... They really don't waste any time seeing you. I was quite embarassed. They did a whole gammit of tests on me... EEGs, blood tests, IVs (Oh yah, when I tell you that my veins roll - I really mean it - 3 tries for the IV)... Chest xrays... They were concerned that I had a heart attack last night, or a blood clot in my lungs. I was there for 4 hours, which I know, isn't much compared to what others go through.
I called DH on the way, told him it was no big deal - stay at work... so, of course he shows up.
Turns out, I have some sort of chest infection/inflamation, that started at the bottom of my chest and has managed to spread into my entire chest? Never heard of such a thing. They put me on some sort of pain/anti-inflamation med for the next few weeks to see if that takes care of it.
All I know, is that it still hurts, and I still have pressure in my chest. And I am glad that all my other tests came back OK. I am also quite embarassed that I went through all of that for nothing.
So, no sewing today. Maybe tomorrow.
Sorry to hear about your ordeal today. That must have been very scary. I am glad that it turned out to be an infection, which can be managed versus something severe like a heart attack! I am sorry that you are still in pain. I hope that they gave you some nice pain meds to make you feel a little better ;) You should never be embarrassed to be concerned about your health. If there is one thing that I have learned from going through a lot of medical stuff is that you have to advocate for yourself. Sounds like your dr's office did just the right thing in telling you to get to the ER quickly. I hope that you start feeling better very quickly now that you have a diagnosis.
So cute! I just had dh carry dd's autograph book and mine as well :) I don't think dd would have carried hers all the time even if she had a purse for it. I would just paint pupils in for Belle. And a zipper with ric rac is very impressive! When you come to use my PE770 please teach me how to do zippers.
Very classic MI signs so your doctor's office did the right thing. I hope they put you on antibiotics as well. And I hope what they gave you is strong so you will be on the mend soonest. :hug:
Bizarre that your post is timed for later than it really is and our replies are showing up before your post :confused3
That is what I was thinking...now we know WHY her internet was acting up...she has slipped into the Outer Limits!
Oh my D~ its not nothing, you are sick and need to take it easy!! that's an order!!!
I won't scold you, but please rest and make sure you follow doctor's order's!
Oh, no! I'm glad you went so it could be cleared up. My friend recently lost her mother- she had been feeling tired and short of breath. Sadly, three days later she died of a massive heart attack. I keep telling my mother (and myself) better safe, than sorry!
Oooooooooo. Sorry to hear about your health woes. Good for you for getting it checked out.
If you need anything from the clinic I set up for my son's film shoot, just PM me your address and I'll send it post haste.
I'm way behind on everyone's PTR, especially yours because you're so prolific, but you've been sewing some amazing things. I love your Donald bag and Belle bag and Figment bag and litter bag and sandwich bag and laundry bag and air bag. Keep 'em coming.
D glad that you are okay.
Chest pains are not fun. I had a horrid chest infection one year. I thought I was dying.
That is very scary. I am glad you went to the er. I hope you feep better soon; but if not please get back to the doctor. Take it easy and get better soon.
PS love the Belle purse. Perfect for a non-type A mom who just needs her keys to the kingdom and some cash
