~ Sew Sweet 16 ~I’m packing your angry eyes just in case~Aug 2014~ BFF' bag 8/20!!!!

Hi D,

Love the bag!!!PoohBear is adorable!!! Isn't spaghetti squash the best????if you google it, there are a ton of recipes. Make sure to baby your knee. Have a great day at Target!

The pooh bag is simply adorable!!!!

So this year i don't get a picture of you in shoes and ask.... 'do my feet look fat?'
damn....

That portable charger works?!?! HOW does it work?!?!

I love your Winnie the Pooh bag. It's so cute :lovestruc

I hope you knee gets well soon. It's no fun having pain.

Today it has been snowing here. It's not unusual. It's a few degrees above freezing point so the snow is melting as soon as it reach the ground. I really hope we don't get this weather on our National day 17th May. But the weather forecast doesn't look good for that day :(

How cute is Pooh?! Love his expression.

So sorry about your knee. :( Good idea to rest and I hope it doesn't become a bigger issue.

I love the red Minnie tank top!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Pooh bag!!!:cheer2::cool1::thumbsup2

I'm really sorry to hear about your knee. Praying that it gets better!:goodvibes

Sorry I have been MIA. DH and I did not get a date night on Saturday, instead I was at the hospital with my mom. She had several small strokes last week. She is home now and is doing well considering what she's been through. She can't be home alone, so I am trying to work from her house, although I am having connectivity issues. My dad will be home from Afghanistan tomorrow, so I should be able to get back to my regular schedule on Thursday. Prayers and good thoughts for my mom will be much appreciated. She will be doing some physical therapy for her walking and handwriting but she should make a full recovery.

I may have time to check in again tomorrow.

Glad you have been making good progress on your bags. The Pooh bag gave me a nice smile while I spent the weekend camped out at the hospital. Glad you had a good Mother's Day. Hope Target goes well today!

Love the Pooh bag! It took me back to when I was very young (<4) and wore clothes of prints a lot like that made by my mom. It also reminds me of one of my sisters who loves Pooh and red.

I was off yesterday and hacked at the giant holly trees by our mailbox. We started trimming it earlier in the year, but then we found a nest. The nest was empty and the postal service left a polite note in the box asking us to cut it back, so I used the loppers to work out some emotions. Nothing like wielding sharp cutting implements and working up an honest sweat to make your irritations seem less. I may have over done it - the trimming. I was careful not to over heat and I feel pretty okay today.

Hope Target went well.

Prayers for your family lovedonaldduck.

Thank you! Yes, I do love spaghetti squash... I think, the first time I made it, I didn't have it all the way done, and it was quite nasty. Now that I know how to cook it properly - I can't seem to get enough of it. LOL

Trying to baby my knee... It didn't hurt at all yesterday. Today is a lifting day, but I think I will hold off and do tomorrow's work out today... Depending how it feels for the remainder of today, I'll see what I do tomorrow... It might be lifting and it might not be?

The pooh bag is simply adorable!!!!

That portable charger works?!?! HOW does it work?!?!

Thanks Mo...

No, I am still worried about the pudginess of my feet - so I will still need your opinion. :thumbsup2

Yes, it works... It's slow, but it works. YOu plug it in and charge it in a regular plug in. Then you throw it in your bag, and carry it with you. When you need a charge, you plug it in to your phone with your phone's USB charger and voila... It charges... It's slow, but it does charge.

I love your Winnie the Pooh bag. It's so cute

Yikes... I sure hope you are almost done with the snow. :wizard:

How cute is Pooh?! Love his expression.

So sorry about your knee. : Good idea to rest and I hope it doesn't become a bigger issue.

I love the red Minnie tank top!

Thank you. Me too... Just trying to baby it right now. I am so paranoid of injury - I have come so far, and I don't want to be sidelined right now - when finally feel like I am making some progress.

Thanks - I do too.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Pooh bag!!!

I'm really sorry to hear about your knee. Praying that it gets better!

Yay!!! SO happy you like it! Make sure you look at the packaging... The girls left notes for you. :lovestruc

Thanks Tasha... Me too. I just need to be super careful.

Oh no... I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Please know she is in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us updated if you can... And :grouphug: for you.

Thanks Ruth! Sounds like a fun day off to me? LOL I love using sharp impliments to take out my frustrations... Or, in my case, vintage machinery.

Love the pooh bag.

Thank you!

**********************************************************

Good morning everyone.

Target went well yesterday... Boring and time ticked by sooooo slooooow - as usual. But I survived. :rolleyes1

Afterwards, I had to go to my mechanic's... Some of you may remember that my air in my car wasn't working last year... Well, it still isn't fixed. Not because I can't pay for it, but because when I had an oil change last year, my mechanic never gave me a receipt.. :headache: In order for my warranty to be honored, I need that receipt. Well, I kept trying to get it from him, and one thing led to another and I still don't have it... He's out of town - I'm out of town - I forget to stop by when he is here... Yada, yada, yada. Anways... Yesterday, I made a special trip to his house to get the receipt... Guess what? He misplaced his blank receipts... So, I STILL don't have one. Grrrrr... I am getting really annoyed by it. The only reason I am not super pissed is because he is BFF's uncle and just a good friend - he has treated us well with our vehicles over the years. He took down all the needed infor and promised to go out and buy another stack of receipts, so he can get it to me. I sure hope he does it soon, because I have no desire to go another summer with out air in my car.

Then V and I stopped at BFF's house. She is buying a new car, so she had a Honda CRV there for a 24 hour test drive... So, we took it out for a little cruise. It's a nice car. I am curious if she is going to buy it... Can't wait to talk to her today to see. :thumbsup2

I will be working in my sewing room all day... I have the applique to do on my custom order bag and then the applique to do on Auction bag #7. I hope to start and finish both today... So it will be a full day for me.

I hope you all have a fantastic day today... Sending out prayers to all who have asked. Many hugs and Pixie Dust to you all.

D~

Morning D!

Notes from the girls!:cool1::banana::yay:

I'm super excited to to get my bag now!

Which reminds me...your Chicago trip is approaching fast! I need to remember to get send you a message today.:woohoo:

ohhh I hope you get your air fixed!!!! I know you had a bad time with it last year..

Can't wait to see the new bags!!! :thumbsup2 Totally going to buy the re-charger!!! THANKS!

Hope you have a great day in your sewing room today!

I am back at work today, although still not terribly productive, updating everyone on my mom and trying to figure out what else needs to be done, working on who is going to stay with my mom when until we can get my dad home. Lots of distractions.

I stayed with my mom during the day yesterday and she is doing well. She hasn't started smoking again which is critical for her health and her recovery. She is getting around really well with her walker. She doesn't like having to ask for help for everything but she needs it and nobody minds helping her. It's hard for her to have to ask someone for a glass of water or to make her lunch or whatever it is she needs - but she shouldn't need the help forever. Her handwriting and walking were most affected by the stroke and she spent a lot of time yesterday working on her handwriting. She was independent walking with her walker, but just stayed in the house. It probably wouldn't hurt to get her out with the walker so she could do some more walking. I'm sure she'll also get in the pool in the next few days which will be great exercise for her and give her the benefit of not worrying about falling.

My dad is in Afghanistan so getting him home is a bit of an ordeal (he is retired Navy, but now works as a contractor spending about 6 weeks at a time in the Middle East). He was supposed to leave there yesterday and be home today but there was an issue with his flight leaving the country so we currently have no idea when he'll be home.

Sorry to go on and on about my stuff but it helps me to be able to share right now. Thanks for being an outlet for me. :goodvibes

I hope you get your air condition fixed before summer.

Here it has snowed again today. But it melts as soon as it reach the ground. I really hope we get better weather on Saturday.

I just plain love sharp tools and weapons and such - and still do even though I have sewn through a fingertip, sport a scar on my thumb from an exacto knife, and just last week nicked myself but good in the thumb when I was preparing cucumbers for infused water. Which I think I need to do again - the water, not the cut on the thumb.

Today seems to be my interminable day. I keep looking up at the clock and it's not even noon:headache:

Take care of the knee & best of luck with the custom today!

Blessings on all those who have need of prayers. :grouphug:

Hey D! Since Friday I have been either on the go or too tired to type - so a belated but well intentioned, warm HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to an awesome mother.

Friday - off to Tyler's college 3 hours away, it started to storm like crazy, which made us behind, then there was bad wreck on the main two lane farm road to the college and my husband turned around and found back roads and managed to get us around it, which made us behind, but Tyler had picked up some food for us which we wolfed down and raced to the arena; his degree is in the Dept of Engineering which is the largest graduating ceremony (there were 6 ceremonies that weekend) and you were limited to six tickets, but he managed to get three more from someone who didn't use all six of theirs; so, we were told to wait outside at least an hour before the start time; oh my goodness the crowds; but all went well; I have never been to a college graduation before and it was long, like really, really long; then we all went to a wine bar and I met Tyler's girlfriend for the first time, and her roommate; and guess what, we got on the subject of Disney World and the roommate, who is the most outgoing cutest thing, asked if I would "guide" her around her first trip to WDW this summer; I thought she was joking but she just emailed me; I will keep you informed on this interesting event; now if we can just get Shane graduated in June! Prayers on that one. It will be a miracle D if he does.

So sorry to hear about your knee; after Tyler's 4 knee surgeries and my foot surgery; ice is the key; have you been icing it? Its like 20 minutes on; leave it off for a while; 20 min on, etc; hope it heals quick.

I love the pic of the hedgehog; we have 2 cats and 2 turtles; the turtles are more interesting than you would think; I know you will have lots of stories to tell us.

Hope your Dad is doing okay; please keep us updated!

Sounds like you are full speed ahead on your auction bags; you go girl! You should log your hours and see how much time you have put in; you would probably be surprised.

Enough for now - just popping in - I love to read all about what is going on with everyone - prayers and hugs D.

I had totally moved on with my work day and then realized that I got completely side tracked with my own stuff and forgot to reply about a couple of things I meant to.

If you need your cell phone to charge faster and you can afford to be out of contact for a little while, if you put it in airplane mode, it charges much faster.

Hope you can get your AC fixed. I couldn't live without mine, even at this time of year.

Also, got an update on my dad from his company. His flight will get into DC this evening, but by the time he clears customs he won't be able to get a flight into Jacksonville tonight. They are putting him up in a hotel in DC tonight and he will be headed home tomorrow morning. I should have him at his house by lunch time. I know he and my mom will be happy to be together after this ordeal. My only fear is that he'll decide to rent a car in DC tonight and drive home instead of staying at the hotel. Hopefully he'll be too tired from all the travel and realize that this is a bad idea.

Love the Pooh bag!!! He's just sooo cute! Hope you get your car a/c taken care of soon, I would die. I wonder what you did to your knee? Hope it feels better soon. You are so organized. My trip is before yours and you are much further ahead with clothing plans. I had a lot of awesome ideas for dresses for my daughter but time is slipping away. It doesn't help that I am busy with the end of the school year paperwork. But I'm also exhausted these days. Good news is my progesterone level went back up so no more shots for now. And my 13 week appt is coming next Tuesday. Take care.

Glad you had such a good day on Mother's Day.

AHHHH POOH!!! Adorable!!!

Morning D!

Notes from the girls

I'm super excited to to get my bag now!

Which reminds me...your Chicago trip is approaching fast! I need to remember to get send you a message today.

I was kind of hoping you would get it yesterday, since it didn't have far to go... Maybe today?

Yes - it is approaching quickly... I cannot wait! 13 days!!!!! :dance3:

ohhh I hope you get your air fixed!!!! I know you had a bad time with it last year..

Can't wait to see the new bags!!! Totally going to buy the re-charger!!! THANKS!

Me too... It's so annoying not to have it.

Yes, I am glad we have them for our next trip - they will be a lifesaver. I know I had a very hard time last year, trying to keep my battery charged for the whole day. I would constantly have to shut off all of my apps, so I had nothing running in the background - I managed to make it work, but there were a few days it was a bit dicey.

Hope you have a great day in your sewing room today!

Thanks Jennifer - I did, thank you.

Thanks so much for the update on your mom - I've been thinking of all of you and praying that everything is OK. It sounds like your mom is doing quite well, considering all she has been through. And even though it is hard for her to ask for help, I am sure she greatly appreciates having you there for her. I know how stressful that is on everyone, since I just went through it with my Dad. :grouhug:

I hope you get your air condition fixed before summer.

Here it has snowed again today. But it melts as soon as it reach the ground. I really hope we get better weather on Saturday.

Thanks Lillian - me too. LOL

I am glad your snow is melting just as fast as it comes... I hope you have great weather on Saturday!

Oooh - what does cucumber infused water taste like? It sounds like it might be refreshing? I know I do it all the time with other fruits (lemon/lime, berries - I've even done rhubarb...), but I've never done cucumbers.

I hope your day went faster... And please - no more sharp objects for you.

Hey D! Since Friday I have been either on the go or too tired to type - so a belated but well intentioned, warm HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to an awesome mother.

Hi Carol!!! Thank you! And same to you! It's great to see you here.

First off... Congratulations to Tyler! You must be so proud! Thankful you made it there safely, and you were able to see the ceremony. :thumbsup2

And :woohoo: about possibly guiding his gf around Disney... Maybe you could "suggest" an August time frame? :rolleyes1 Let me know if that is an option and I will give you our official dates.

Praying that Shane graduates... I sure hope he does - he needs to, just so he can get on with his life and away from those surroundings.

So sorry to hear about your knee; after Tyler's 4 knee surgeries and my foot surgery; ice is the key; have you been icing it? Its like 20 minutes on; leave it off for a while; 20 min on, etc; hope it heals quick.

I have not been icing it. Shame on me. But - on the plus side... I haven't had any pain in 2 days, so I am feeling very hopeful that whatever it is, isn't any longer? I plan to take it easy again today and see how it goes.

I love the pic of the hedgehog; we have 2 cats and 2 turtles; the turtles are more interesting than you would think; I know you will have lots of stories to tell us.

Hahaha... I had a dream about V's hedgehog last night... Yah... It was a bit *larger* than it was supposed to be. :rolleyes1

Hope your Dad is doing okay; please keep us updated!

I think he is doing OK? I am still trying to call him, but he is not answering and not returning my phone calls. Grrrr.... I am about ready to call the manager at his building, just to double check that everything is OK. I am starting to wonder if he is avoiding me for some reason? :confused3

Sounds like you are full speed ahead on your auction bags; you go girl! You should log your hours and see how much time you have put in; you would probably be surprised.

LOL - I don't dare log my hours... It would probably keep me from doing many auctions. They are so much work. On the flip side, it's nice to be able to do them when I need to. They are just so stressful - not only the making of everything and getting it done in time, but writing the auctions takes a lot of time... Then there's the whole "putting myself out there" - which Suzi and Mo will tell you... I am an absolute WRECK about. No matter how many bags I make and sell - I will probably never used to the fact that people like and want what I make.

Enough for now - just popping in - I love to read all about what is going on with everyone - prayers and hugs D.

Thanks so much for the update Carol... Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers daily. :grouphug:

Oooh - good idea about airplane mode.

I am so happy that your dad was able to get a flight home. Praise the Lord! I know it will be such a relief to both of them to be together again too. I cannot imagine how hard it must have been for him to be so far away from your mom during this time. Praying the remainder of the trip is a safe one for him. Please keep me updated.

Love the Pooh bag!!! He's just sooo cute! Hope you get your car a/c taken care of soon, I would die. I wonder what you did to your knee? Hope it feels better soon. You are so organized. I am not sure how organized I am? LOL I still have to PAY for the trip. LOL Thankfully, I have many customs to reuse, and I only have a few things to make this time around.

I've been praying for a great 13 week check-up for you. I pray it all goes well. Please keep me updated.

Glad you had such a good day on Mother's Day.

AHHHH POOH!!! Adorable!!!

Thanks! I love how it turned out! :thumbsup2

**********************************************************

I had a really good sewing room day yesterday. I was able to finish my custom order applique. Then I was able to make a good dent in my auction bag applique - I only have a little bit to do this afternoon. :woohoo:

Yesterday morning - it was gorgeous and sunny. So, I made the executive decision to take an hour off and lay out in the sun... Well, by the time I got out here, it was mostly cloudy/breezy... and brrr... I like to lay out when it's a bit chilly, because I don't like to sweat to death out there, but having SUN is the key. Needless to say - I didn't stay out there long. LOL And I went back to work. :rolleyes1

We had a pretty lazy night last night. I was sucked into Pinterest... Found some really cute summer outfits that I would love to wear this summer. :scratchin Must pay off this trip first though.

I hope you all have a great day... Sending out prayers and good thoughts to all who need them, and those who don't. :grouphug:

Nothing really Disney related... but sort of PTR related...

BFF finally bought her new car yesterday!!! So excited for her! :woohoo: Isn't she adorable??? (I stole her pictures from FB... :rolleyes1)

It's a 2011 Honda CRV. It's the prettiest light blue color. :thumbsup2
