WOW! What a song!

Does anybody else think Morgan Wallen could end up being mentioned with the biggest Country Music Stars of all time if he maintains this quality of work?

Not kidding-the above Post was what I had planned to Post yesterday, but never got around to it.

We can SCRATCH that sentiment I think-he may be self-distructing his Career.

The below incident much worse than the first.

I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.

If he has the N-word in his vocabulary to the point where it would just come out, he needs to be more than just embarrassed. He either has a drinking problem or a racism problem, or, most likely, both. What a bunch of BS. This guy needs to check his heart, as they say.

I would say his career is pretty much over. CMT announced they would be pulling anything having to do with him from their station/site/etc. This morning Bobby Bones made a statement that his show would taking a break from playing any of his music, which I assume means that all "I Heart Radio" stations will stop playing it.

I must be sheltered cause I never heard of him until I read the news story today. Not surprised with the consequences, aka Paula Deen & Michael Richards.

I only knew of him because of the dustup with Saturday NIght Live - I heard him when he was rescheduled - sounded ok to me - but didn't knock my socks off.

He is a great country artist but yeah, he has both a drinking problem and a racism problem. Disappointing.

He is very well known by many, but was just on the cusp of EVERYBODY knowing who he is on the level of everyone knows who Kenny Chesney or Carrie Underwood, etc. is.

He is a Writer as well as a Singer and if you like Country Music his songs are INCREDIBLE.

Check out More Than My Hometown and Seven Summers Ago.

Great,great songs.

He may be able to salvage some sort of Career with proper repentance in a year or so,but I think he has permanently ended a Hall of Fame Career possibility.

You just gottta shake your head.

He is no where near a big country artist. I've seen him open twice and he was the pre-pre opener and just okay.
Guess he'll learn the hard way by not hearing his music anymore since he didn't learn from the other mistakes.
He's not important and very few will miss him from the radio if he doesn't decide to grow up and change his ways.

He's worse than a "nobody", or even a "has-been". He's a "never will be", and all of his own doing. What a fool.

I was actually going to start a thread about him, asking "A what age can you no longer claim youthful indiscretion"? A few folks around here have tried to chalk his stupidity up to "he's just young". But at what, 24? Can we not expect him to comport himself like an adult?

To be fair, he's got a mullet. Clearly his judgement is suspect.

Didn't know a thing about him but vaguely recall the SNL sitch. There's no coming back from this, he can't even work at Costco because he's famous/infamous. His best bet is to move to change his name, move to another country where he isn't so well known, and hope to get some bar gigs. Maybe there's a Costco in Tokyo where he could work his day job.

While I think his racial slurs were and are totally despicable, I also am not sure he should lose his entire career over it. When you look at the lyrics of some of the words to songs from other genres and artists that are actually being broadcast all the time on the radio, I think it is hypocritical his career is destroyed.

None of these people singing, writing about, or performing music with these slurs should be given any music contracts or have these songs played. Until that happens, (which it won’t), I don’t think he should be punished that severely by having his entire career destroyed.

I will also say, however, that he is obviously not the brightest bulb on the tree. Seems to make bad decisions quite frequently.
