Can I suggest we meet on Friday the 13th, how could it be unlucky when you consider we are on the Magic in the middle of the Med! How does around 2 sound. We've all have eaten, it's not too early to have some wine, and it won't interrupt any evening events. I don't know the lay of the ship, so I can't recommend a location. What does everyone think???

Perhaps after a couple of stops and a chance to find some fun Italian wine, we could gather in the afternoon on a day at sea in the middle or end of the cruise for a little wine tasting? We had a great Brunello last night, can't wait for Italy!!!!

Sounds like a great idea!! That way those of us with late seating will get a 2nd chance if we miss sail-away!!

Should have finished reading before responding. The time and date sound good -- how about the secret deck on deck 7? I think it is Aft but it looks out at the water, has chairs and it itsn't used much!! Could be a great party place!

4 pm it is then ... wasn't thinking about the sun! ... So we are having a DIS meet at the Sail Away party on Deck 10 overlooking the pool wearing our tshirts if we have them and on Friday the 13th on the secret Deck 7 at 4 pm. Sounds good to me !!

Hi all; What are your plans for La Spezia? We decided to take a private tour so that we will have a chance to visit Academia (additional cost) and more time on our own in Florence and Pisa. We opted for just the driver without the tour guide.

The company is Florence tour and we got a quote for 4 people however the van will hold up to 8. The price will depend on how many additional persons there will be as the price is for 4, 6 or 8.

Is anyone interested to share the van? I calculated, and it is about 100 euros more for the 4 of us compared to the Disney Flrorence and Pisa tour. So the 8 person sharing the cost it will be a little cheaper than Disney tour, if I did my math correctly.

Thank you for the suggestion. After the long trip to Rome, we opted for the relatively short bus ride to Portofino. We will save Florence for another trip to Italy.

We are actually doing the Florence and Michelangelo tour just so we can go into the Academie to see the real David. I'm going to wait and hear what the 2nd cruise group has to say before I make any decisions. The first group had an Italian holiday to deal with, so I'm hoping the city won't be so crowded for us!
