"Seven Seven 07" 20070707-11 Night Mediterranean Cruise

I have a massage booked until 10:45 and a tour at 12:00. Am I pushing it time wise??? Is this doable? Thanks in advance!

Hi MJ - I would say you might want to try to reschedule that massage. Even if you were cutting it close and could make it - it will probably be all you are thinking about during the massage and won't enjoy it to the fullest. I would try to change it when you get on the ship. What day/port?

Hi MJ - here is the ebay seller that I was watching - I think these must be the type of dress you are talking about? They are soo nice. I'd love to have one - but don't want to pay the price to wear once, or figure out how to pack it. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZloriann_designsQQhtZ-1

Good for you and your sewing abilities!! I tried to make a quilt once before we were married (25+ years ago)- I think the bag of stuff is still in our basement - unfinished of course!! "Someone" (DH) reminds me of it everytime I want to start a new project! - That is the extent of my sewing!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Can't wait to see your outfits!! ( I promise I won't look at your feet - hey if you are wenches - go barefoot - I don't think Capt Jake would mind!)

Take care,
Sherri

I can't take the sewing credit ... I had a friend help me out! I was thinking of going barefoot as well! We'll see... I'm limiting myself to 4 shoes, one dressy, one walking, one flip flop and one crocs.

I love the dress in the link you sent. It is gorgeous, but yes I can see it would be difficult to pack. Here is a link to the pattern that I'm working from. What do you think? I'm looking at the short sleeve one.

I'm booked on the Olbia port date. I'm going to check and see what else is available. It was a last minute decision ... I booked it last week! There were none left for the at sea days, except the last one.

LOVE IT!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I am sooo Jealous!!!

Let's not talk about shoes....everytime I start to think which ones I will bring - the list is too long. I think I will need a suitcase just for shoes - but I know I won't wear them all - so I really have to limit myself too!

Can't wait to see that dress - even thinking of sewing that with someone's help makes me sick to my stomach - I am not a sewer - but give me some paper and a few pictures, and I can make a pretty decent scrapbook page!
LOL!

Thanks, I can only take credit for the seam ripping :rotfl2: Maybe you can give me some tips on scrapbookking! I promised myself I will make one based on the cruise.

By the way, I rebooked the massage for 8 am to 9:15 am ... this will give me time to go back to the cabin, grab a shower, wake up Kirstyn and grab a late breakfast, early lunch before the excursion. I think I won't worry too much about this time slot! I will check on board and see if there are any massages available for the at sea days!

Don't be jealous Sheryl ... We plan on getting a lot of use out of these costumes. We are going to MNSSHP in the fall, and will be wearing them on the Panama cruise as well. That was my justification anyways :rotfl:

BTW ... After this cruise, I'll be a poor pirate for a while too! At least until the next one!!! :rotfl2:

Hi Sherri ... We are meeting at Meson David at 8:00 pm. Can't wait to meet everyone!

What is expected onboard for the formal nights. Do most people get the tux and get all decked out, or is it more common for the men to wear suits?

I'm debating renting the tux from DCL or packing my own suit.

My guys will just wear suits. I read on one of the trip report threads that everyone was dressing much more casually for dinner on the first Med cruise because they were all too tired from the excursions to get dressed up. :rotfl:

Sherri - we're so glad your family is joining the group for the pre-cruise dinner!

Only 31 more days people!!! 31 more days!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

Aloha,
You can use just your suit for formal nite. I did it and a lot of other guys did it also. Everyone looked great and there was no problem. I also got to show of some of my great Disney ties. Can't wait to meet some our fellow cruisers for pre dinner cruise.

mahalo,

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll go ahead and take my own suit, shoes, etc. Then I know everything fits!

Countdown continues. T-3 weeks 6 days til blastoff. (Going to London first) :thumbsup2

Hi everyone!!! 3 weeks until I leave for London! I've decided to Blog the trip and have made my first couple of post. In it, I've included a picture of the t-shirts. If you want to check them out, follow the link below. Also, I will be blogging my Adventure by Disney, so you can follow that as well! Take care!

I logged into DCL and was checking out the excursions and I didn't see the Lucca Treasure Hunt listed any longer. :confused3 For the past several weeks when I checked, it was darkened - indicating that there were no reservations available. Has anyone heard anything? We have a private tour scheduled for Pisa and Lucca, but Treasure Hunt sounded kind of fun.

Also, has anyone found any "other" documents that need to be signed and brought to embarkation? I can only find the Online Check-In Signature Forms, which I have printed and signed. I've read a couple times now that there are other forms such excursion forms that are needed.

Love your blog! Can't wait to meet you and your daughter and hear about your London and Paris trip. We have stayed at the New York Hotel at DP. Nice place. There was a ice skating rink when we were there. Don't know if it is open at this time of the year. (we were there in April '96) Really close to Downtown Disney and some great places to eat too.
Love how you are counting down your sleeps!:hourglass Bet the last few might be sleepless!
We have 5 sleeps left...till Greece!!! SO much left to do and still have to waste my time at work each day....:rolleyes1

We have also only done the online check in and given our passport and flight information. As far as excursion paperwork, the only experience we've had on DCL is getting the tickets in our stateroom and then signing papers at our meeting point on board before heading off the ship. DCL may be doing something different in the Med though if you've read that other people have been getting paperwork.

One month today and we'll be boarding the Magic!!!

I've been reading some of the blogs and reviews. I'm a bit worried now about a couple of our excursions we have booked based on some Disboard members reviews, but hopefully DCL will take the comment cards into huge consideration and change some of the issues before it's our turn.
