Tori's got Finals later this week (last one will be Monday, May 7th) -- then *Year One* of college done; 3 or so to go!! ;)

Mom/Daughter weekend in WDW for Mother's Day. Will be short, but sweet! :cloud9:

Good luck to Tori with her finals. A mother/daughter weekend in WDW sounds wonderful. Lucky you!

Hello to you, too!

My DS finishes on the 4th - his 19th birthday!

My DSis and I will be doing Mother's Day weekend at WDW, too! My boys are running a tough mudder in PA on Mother's Day, so I figured it didn't matter if I was around, and we will get to see Peter Noone!:cloud9:

Good luck to your DS on his finals. Hope you and your sister have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. :goodvibes

Thank you all for the thoughts, prayers and really caring. I cried when I read how you all had responded. Thank you so very much. What a wonderful group of friends we have with each other. :grouphug: Please continue with the prayers and positive thinking. This is a real tough cancer.

I am in San Diego, got here Thursday....I think. and will probably be here for at least a week to 10 days. Which is perfectly fine I will stay as long as I am needed and can help in any way. Things are ok right now, we should have more information next week and I hope a new treament plan.

Brandi - Safe trip, I am sorry I don't know or don't remember where you were going. How is the foot doing? I hope you are feeling and doing great.

Pam - I will get back to your TR as time permits, I have been enjoying every minute of it. We are waiting until things settle down here before we pick a date and ship for a Disney cruise.

Linda - Love how you post our Zebra Dome pictures every Friday. I would love to have couple tomorrow morning with my coffee. :) Thank you

Elin - How you and Bob doing?

Kathy (Johns mom) - Is there any news on the Tree of Life at AK? I have not read a paper or been online until today. Thank you for letting us know what you have found out.

Alison - You are down to just a couple of days before you leave. Gosh I hope you are still going. I have to catch up on your PTR. Will do that tomorrow after I get some sleep. Have a wonderful trip if I don't get back on to see you off before then. :thumbsup2

Laura - How wonderful that Tori will be finished with her first year of college. You must be so proud, as your should be. What a great way to celebrate Mothers Day and the end of her freshman year...a trip to WDW with you.

Happy Sunday all and cherish every moment you have with your loved ones.

I think I have the correct day of the week this time. :rotfl:

Ann

Ann, continued prayers for your friends. They are truly blessed to have you helping them.

I talked to the CMs near the Tree of Life. They hope that ITTBAB attraction will reopen within a week. No further info on condition of the Tree. We couldn't see any damage.

Jambo to all my friends here! You are all wonderful!

Ann - good luck to you and your friends! You are so sweet to travel so far to help them out. We had a friend who lived with us when he was terminal, before it got really bad, so I know how tough it is.

Laura - what a wonderful weekend you will have with Tori, enjoy!

Brandi - you must be busy since we haven't heard from you!

Corinna - enjoy your cruise, I think it departs this today..

We are still having a tough time and I sure hope we get on that plane day after tomorrow. Yesterday the seal on the wound vac failed. A home nurse came by (after much stress and phone calls to ERs). I hope our time in Florida goes much easier.

I have the wonderful joy of Bin Laden having been killed on my birthday (which is also the day that we are flying to Orlando). We are thinking of getting to the airport 4 hours in advance of our flight just to insure that we get through security in plenty of time. Fran is quite the anomaly with bionic knees and one hip, she already can't do the normal security walk through, but with this wound vac, I know the TSA will have a field day with her! You would think they would realize someone in her condition couldn't possibly be a terrorist!

Alison, hope everything goes smoothly on your trip. :bday:

Ooh, that sounded like such a great event! But alas, I do not have an AP, so we're going to just stand in line. We probably will be there both Fri. and Sat. night.

We've dealt with cancer and worse in my family; it's a very trying time and have caring friends (like you!) DO make a big difference!

My oldest DS had stage IV Hodgkins when he was in 8th grade. He made it through, swam nationals in HS and college, and is now 24 and doing well! Prayers that your brother will do as well!

Prayers that all goes well for your travels! And an early :bday:!

And happy Sunday to all Jamborinis and Kidanites!

Linda, prayers for your DS continued good health. Thanks for the Frunch.

I am not having to log in continually, but still having issues getting on here regularly. Some of them are MINE but most are with the DIS.

Ann... I love your recaps. You are so good to keep us all in line and wish us all good luck and good healing and bon voyage. Thank you so much and keep that cheery attitude with your dear friends. It will help them immensely.

This has been one of the very few weeks out of the past 75 or so where I am feeling overwhelmed. Really nothing new, just not enough sleep and continuing to try to hold everything togegther. Bob's health is fine, my work is fine, the house is fine, my friends are fine, our families are fine and there is plenty of wine here in the house to drink... I knew that you all would let me have a mild meltdown and understand. :lmao:

:grouphug::drinking1:drinking1

..each airport is different and my latest incident was chapstick...it set the scanner off and then lead to a pat down.. for chapstick..cherry chapstick I might add......:confused3

....had it been FRUNCH chapstick, they'd have let you through...

Hey everyone!! I am popping in here because we just extended our trip in June by two nights, and the last night is going to be a stay at AKL. Since we are only going to be there for one night, we just booked the standard room view, as it was considerably cheaper than the Arusha savanna view. My question is twofold. First, what should we request to optimize our chances of not getting a view of the parking lot? :rotfl2: And second, the viewing spots - are they on every floor of the AKL? If our view stinks we are happy to go out in the morning and watch the animals that way.

Thanks!! Even though it's just for one night (this time :rotfl: ), we are very excited to experience AKL. :goodvibes

I have no idea about question number one, but yes there are viewing areas on every floor spaced evenly throughout the resort. How wonderful you were able to extend your trip! You might just want to do the whole trip at AKL after this :)

Meltdowns come when they want, just remember to be patient with yourself. You know we're always here to listen

I'm sorry the wound vac gave you trouble. How is Fran's healing coming along? I hope the airport goes smoothly and stress free.

Thank you *so* much. :goodvibes I really appreciate it! Yes, I think DH is going to want to come back to this one. He's wanted to stay here since last year. I imagine one night is only going to whet his AKL appetite. ;) :lmao:

Again, many thanks.

That's exactly how I was, wanted to stay there ever since they opened it. Ended up buying DVC I loved the resort so much. It is truly a wonderful place!

I just noticed your avatar. I'm currently watching Fraggle Rock :)

Prayers that all goes well for your travels! And an early :bday:!

Yes, we are heading for the port in about 4 hours. I hope everything goes smoothly for you in two days time.

Alison,

First off Happy Birthday.... And yes you already made the day famous!

Yes, i do hope and pray that things get better everyday for you and fran. Planning oh the extra time for TSA sounds like a good plan.. each airport is different and my latest incident was chapstick...it set the scanner off and then lead to a pat down.. for chapstick..cherry chapstick I might add... now the screws in my foot, they did not notice...:confused3

Please have a wonderful time and I will send out prayers...

Prayers that everything goes well and no more issues with Fran's wound vac. I saw TSA at Detroit metro dealing with something they had never seen before and they did an admirable job. Wishing you the same luck with TSA at your airport! :goodvibes

Wishing you a Happy Birthday/Bye-bye Bin Laden Day/Safe Travels and Happy Vacation Day! :woohoo:

Alison, hope everything goes smoothly on your trip. :bday:

I'm sorry the wound vac gave you trouble. How is Fran's healing coming along? I hope the airport goes smoothly and stress free.

Thanks everyone! Tomorrow we'll go back to the wound care clinic and they'll reapply the vac. Hopefully they will get a good seal on the dressing so that it will last until our appointment in Kissimmee on Friday. I so much hope that we will be sitting in our Villa at Kidani two nights from now after having enjoyed a wonderful meal at Sanaa!

When it first opened, we stayed two nights and I have been hooked ever since. I've stayed there more than any other WDW resort!

not just you, I have to do the same thing....:furious:

Me too, on my cellphone. The funny thing is Fran's phone has the same settings as mine, same model and everything, but I don't have to relogin when I borrow her phone and post from it! :headache:
