Hi Everyone - hope you are all well!!!! I'm back home from seeing my NEW grandson - he is perfect - I have lost my heart to my sweet angel.......... so here ya go.......... his name is Jeffrey and he was 8lbs/21 inches long!!!

So, I am officially a Mimi now - AND today, I got to watch a 3-D imaging live stream of my new granddaughter, who is due in april - it was AMAZING!!!

I've missed way to many days around here to go back and read everything - so, you guys can fill me in on what I NEEEEEEEED to know!!!! lol

Hey Kathy!!! Thank You my sweet friend!!! He is amazing and wonderful and I miss him tons!!!! PT is coming along, it's getting SO much better - I have an appt. with my ortho on the 2nd - so, we'll see then where I stand, but, I am doing a lot better and it's getting much easier for me to do things - I'm not 100% - but, it's managable and tolerable now, I can go without pain meds for days at this point!!! So, that's GOOOD!!!! Hugs Dear!!!!

Hi Guys, I have a question for you AKL fans...I was wondering if you could advise me if there might be any discounts offered by Disney late August this year for the Animal Kingdom. Every year we (me, hubby $ 2 boys 3yrs and 9yrs) have tried to make it into this beautiful resort and we have not been able to with our budget. Last 3 years had been CBR (which we love) and we always went in May. This year our vacation will be mid/late august. We are all hoping for a miracle again to try get to AKL!! I was just wondering if there would be anything I could possibly look for that you may know of that might come up at this time of year? room discounts?/ free dining?? anything would make a difference as at the moment we cant afford the rack room rate. Thank you so much in advance. Keeping our fingers crossed that this is the year!!!!

We will be at Jambo in a standard studio for our spring break. I want to put in a request that might give me a view of something other than the parking lot. Can anyone help? Are there any standard studios on Zebra Trail? If so, that's my request, but I don't want to look like a fool asking for something that isn't there. TIA!

Are you in a Value studio? Those are on the Giraffe and Ostrich trails and are the luck of the draw. We have had a pool view and safari view so far.

They had free dining last year at those times but I really don't know what other specials they had. I also have a friend who is holding out on some kind of deal before she books.

As part of our winning prize for the OMDD sweepstakes we are booked in the AKL. We will be there Dec. 13-19th. Disney allowed us to add 2 days to our prize package. Can't wait to be at our favorite resort!

We are also going on the cruise On Dec. 19th

Hello to all! I have recently received an awesome pin code and was thinking of upgrading my reservation to AKL. I have only previously stayed at moderates, especially CBR. One of the things that I enjoy is how big and spread out the resort feels (even though we are limited to July visits). The bus stops rarely have many people waiting since there are so many "villages". Are there multiple bus stops at AKL also? What has been you experience with the bus service? Thanks so much..

As for discounts? You can call disney directly and ask, check mousesavers, or check the discounts board, or here is an AUGUST thread you can check ( http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2739800&page=19) and you can also try to rent dvc points - you can check out the dvc boards for that. Other than that, I don't know of any discounts. Good Luck!!

Yay on the code!!! You'll love the lodge, but, in my opinion, it doesn't have a big spread out feel - it's cozy!!! As for the bus stops, there is ONE bus stop at Jambo house and ONE bus stop at Kidani - the bus DOES go to both resorts, Kidani first, then Jambo. Hope this helps!!
