Seven Dwarfs Mine Train FP+ Opening

Wish I could receive a text message the moment FP+ is available! Wishful thinking, eh? We'll be there May 19th! I'm checking a lot, too!

That is a great idea...maybe Disney should send a text message in addition to the emails they send out when the window opens.

On Tues 4/22 (the day of the commercial shoot) I engaged 3 different CMs in casual conversation. We all know to take what a CM says with a grain of salt. I asked if they had any idea on timeframe of soft openings (days, weeks) & if things appeared to be on track for opening we've heard was may 2-4. One wouldn't talk, one said they had no idea about anything and third said they thought at least another couple weeks.
There were still some walls up (mostly around the entrance to the ride) on thurs 4/24 & lots of workers working. There is a key code lock on the door to get inside the fence. I jokingly told my wife I knew the code...1971. Or maybe 1928 or whatever year Snow White/dwarfs were "born." Next time we walked they had 2-3 CMs standing st the door.
My guess ( which means nothing) is that it is at least week or two from opening & even the CMs who will work it won't know ahead of time. They will be trained and ready, but won't know til they show up to work that day ( on soft openings that is).

Nope. Both dwarfs and dwarves are proper ways to spell the plural of dwarf. But in the case of snow white, Disney uses dwarfs which was the more common spelling until Tolkien popularized dwarves.

Good catch! I actually just googled it, and dwarfs is correct. Unless you are talking about Tolkien, then it is "dwarves" because that is how he wrote it. It seems both spellings are acceptable now.

I'm there from May 13th to the 26th, been lucky with FP+ and ADRs considering I only booked to go March 17th, fingers crossed 7DMT will open some point during my visit.

I remember in his official biography it said Tolkien actually had friction with his editors over his spelling of elves and dwarves instead of the commonly accepted elfs and dwarfs.

Funny thing, as I type this spell check is favoring elves and dwarfs but putting the red squiggly lines under elfs and dwarves.

Well, "1971" is one of our passwords. It is used on all CM issued iPads, as well as iPods. It is also the password to some locked doors that lead to training facilities, VIP lounges and a few others. Some older attractions, like Carousel of Progress, use the password "1234" instead to disable the alarms on the doors to go in/out without causing an intrusion or evacuation.

It seems to me that setting up an email system through MDE would be simple enough. We indicate our wish list attractions in MDE, and SDMT is there (even though you cannot choose FP+ yet). So why couldn't Disney set up an email process for any changes to those items? Oh, if we, the guests, ruled the world of Disney.

Seems simple to me.

SEND email to Guests WHERE favorite ride = 'Mine Ride' AND FastPassEnabled = true.

There is probably a "switch" or admin panel on the IT side that turns on FastPass+ availability for the ride! It's just a matter of time!

I didn't see a Select FastPass+ button. There is a FastPass+ Offered button that leads you to My Disney Experience but SDMT isn't one of the available options to choose from. Are you sure?

Just checked MDE (app & web) and it's missing again. They must be putting it into the system late at night to tweak it, and then pulling it back off before morning hoping no one will catch it.
