Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Early Breakfast questions

We have a 8:05 PPO breakfast at the Crystal Palace on a 9 am opening day with Early Morning Magic. We originally had a group of three but now have a group of 5 and were able to rebook the same breakfast time for 5 people. We had 3 FP+ booked for the Seven Dwarfs at 9 and were planning on doing Peter Pan, Pooh, then use our Mine Train FP. However, the added two people could not obtain a FP for Seven Dwarfs. They are late 30ish adults and would rather do the Mine Train at rope drop that Peter Pan. We know to prepay the bill and have been to the Crystal Palace many times before so we don't plan on lingering over breakfast. My questions are:

1. Where will be the best place for them to line up after breakfast for rope drop going to Seven Dwarfs? Where will they be held?

2. Will they get a jump on the people coming from the park entrance?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have heard that they do let people with ADR over to 7DMT before the oping people get in the park but I do not know if this is just people from our guest or not. I would say eat and see if you can make you way over there or try to be as close to the ride as you can and if they do not let you over there walk as fast as you can to the ride ( the 2 people that do not have FP ) if you get to the ride and all can ride together great if not at lest let the 2 with out FP go then go on PP and pooh

Rope drop crowd is usually let in around 8:45, so at least those two will need to eat quickly and get out in order to get ahead of the rope drop crowd.

BOG Guests are allowed to line up near SDMT abd ride SDMT ahead of the M.aingate line.

I have read reports that Crystal Palace Guests are held by the Castle(Fantasyland "side") until Rope Drop and I don't know if they are brought over to SDMT ahead of the Maingate line or not.:)

They will be held at the hub, by the castle, for the rope drop crowd to join before being escorted to 7DMT.

Thanks for the info!

It does seem unfair that BOG Guests get the early ride and Crystal Palace Guests do not just because of "location".:)

But since the OP is talking about an Early Morning Magic day, won't BOG diners also be held and then sent to SB? not allowed early rides.

It's not that bad. They'll be at the front of the rope drop line and have a minimal wait for 7DMT. Though I'm not sure how EMM will have an effect, if any.

Reports are that on EMM BOG Guests are allowed into the SDMT Standby line(EMM uses the FP+ line) just ahead of the Maingate line,so they don't get multiple rides, but do get one ride with no wait.:)

Good point-I was "picturing" them having to "blend in" way back in the Maingate line, but blending in at the front will be awesome for them-it just won't give them a shot at multiple rides that BOG Guests "sometimes" get.:)

This is what happened to us this past Tuesday during EMM. We got one ride in without a wait.

We were here this morning and went right from breakfast to 7DMT and got right in the standby lane and got on in around 10 mins. The EMM people get the FP lane.

Maybe somethings changed, but when we were there last Sept. We left Crystal Palace at 845, could hear the welcome show and went around the castle right into the mine train line (they had us use the fastpass line- no reason other than faster to actual ride) before the rope droppers arrived. We're hoping to do the same in a couple weeks.

OP is going on an EMM morning, so the FP line will be for those who have paid for EMM. Everyone else will use the standby line, including any PPO breakfast people.

We did EMM last Tuesday. I heard a woman who did a PPO ask a CM that they wanted to sneak a ride on SDMT. The CM did not let them on, but showed them where to stand (along the rail, between SDMT and the check in area for BOG). After awhile I saw a small line accumulating there. I'm not sure when they walked the line over to stand by since we had our fill of SDMT after a few times. In fact, we were eating breakfast before the RD crowds were let in, which I didn't plan. But we got so many rides in in such a short time, that we were ready to eat! I highly recommend doing EMM, it was so neat having the rides to ourselves at both MK and HS. We rode in the very back of the train, in the very front of the train, we had our choice. It really was special.

Somewhere I read that the EMH people are led by CM to the SDMT at opening, that we should follow them to the right of the castle. Is that for anyone using the EMM hour or just people with ADR or EMM? How does one let the CM know you actually want to ride the SDMT? Th second part of my question is that I have a FP for SDMT way later in the afternoon. If I manage to ride during the EMH can I cancel that last FP, then get a fourth one? Or do I have to wait until the time has passed? I am so confused by all the abbreviations and what is acceptable for all the extras.

Thanks. This is what I will suggest they do.

I can't help with all of your question, but let me clear up some of the abbreviations.

EMH is Extra Magic Hour and is FREE to anyone staying in a Disney resort. There are morning and evening EMH at all the parks, scheduled on different days. Check your times guide or calendar to see when and where these are. CMs do head up the lines moving towards Fantasyland when the park opens EVERY day, so you can follow them to the Dwarves or the Princesses or wherever if you are entering the park as a guest on any morning, EMH or regular.

EMM is Early Morning Magic and is a PAID event. You have to purchase an extra ticket for this one. I haven't done it, but I assume there are CMs leading the way for this as well since the only place you're allowed to go is Fantasyland.

As to your FP+ question, someone else should be along to help you out with that or you can check the sticky "All About FP+" to see if the answer is there.

Maybe the procedure varies from day to day?
