I don't have the Games book. The former leader said we did....but she never gave it to me when she quit. I haven't had a chance to go pick one up. I hear it's good. No theme really, this is a hodge podge meeting a little of a bunch of stuff so anything will work. THe classroom we meet in is very cluttered, we can move stuff around...but not a lot. That probably didn't help

OK Jennifer...here goes:
Snowballs
2 teams, in 2 lines facing eachother, with each person having 2 sheets of tissue paper
On the word "GO" each person balls up the tissue paper(the snowball) and throws the snowball to the other teams side.
After a time that you decide on (one min. usually works), the team with the least snowballs on their side wins.
It helps to have a line or barrier of some sort to keep the teams apart...the tendancy is to pull closer together as the laughing gets louder!! Hee hee....my girls STILL love this one! It gets loud, but doesn't take up much space.

Fumble Fingers Relay
Again 2 teams
The person at the front of each line puts on BIG mittens...the bulkier the better.
On "GO" the mittened girl runs to a plastic jar with a screw top that is a little distance from the front of the line.
Inside the jar are 10 toothpicks which she dumps onto the floor and then has to pick up while wearing the mittens! This is a GREAT photo op!!
After all toothpicks are back in the jar she puts the top back on and gives the mittens to the next girl in line.
First team to finish is the winner.

You're right about hair... at least it does grow out. I guess I'm just needing some changes in my life. *Sigh* I dunno... I've been growing it out for three years now, so I'm not sure I'm ready to whack it all off after all that time... I have thought about doing the bangs, but last time I mentioned that, Elaine assured me I'd regret it. She's probably right. I guess for now, I'll just leave it wild and crazy and go in for my red color thingie.

Of course I vote Ohio. I may or may not be childless, depends on when and where. Summer is dh's busy time since he sells RV's and he works LONG hours in the summer. If you all are serious about Cedar Point, I could check rates on a cottage nearby or there are several on site options including camping cabins and hotels. They also have EE for on site guests.

Anybody got the new Rod Stewart CD? It's called "The Great American Songbook", and he is singing my parents' music, but I really like it. I have it playing behind me right now. It's really relaxing.

Thank you thank you oh mighty GS leader!!! You are my hero!!! they will love these!!! They are really into games this year (the old leader never taught them any games or songs....) but the few I learned at sink of swim are either really wild running games, or sitting still games. We'll do both, but the snowball one sounds like something my girls will love. Have have to say...the sweetest sight today was on the drive home....I had 3 of the girls and they were all laying this way and that on top of each other "sleeping". (1 hour drive back home). Such sweeties!
