I'm trying to decide whether or not to make an ADR at Concourse Steakhouse for our family's May '06 trip. The cast of characters will be me, DH, DS-5, and DS-2 1/2. I think that my whole family would enjoy the food there.

Based on the reviews, I'm concerned about service and long waits for our meal... Watching the monorail will only entertain my little boys for so long! :)

Is service really slow? What time do you think would be the best/least crowded? Any advice would be appreciated! TIA!

When we were there in August, our service at the Concourse was excellent! (And we are very particular when it comes to this subject!) The waitstaff for our table and others were very attentive to how quickly or how slowly people were served each course. We were in a more laid-back state of mind. Our waitress picked up on this and let us eat slowly, never rushing us. Yet the table next to us seemed to be wanting a quicker meal time, and their waiter picked up on this, also, and they were served more quickly and with less wait time between courses, check time, etc. This individual attention was apparent throughout the dining room. Hope that makes sense!

Thanks! This is good to hear... If it were just DH and me, we would be laid back. Time is of the essence when eating with our two year old, though! :rotfl:

We had lunch there in December. While the waitstaff was wonderful, the food was not. I'm not a picky eater by any means and this meal was just not good. Sorry.

Sorry you did not enjoy your lunch! Yet I must say that the dinner we had was wonderful! My DH, DS8 and myself all enjoyed everything we had very much!

I guess I missed the reports of slow service at Concourse. We ate there in early December and had no problems at all.

This restaurant might be our favorite so far-or at least it is at the top of our list. We loved every piece of food there and the kids around us seemed to enjoy their meals as well. We ate until we couldn't fit any more in our bellies! It was fantastic! I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. We went on a Sunday night I believe. It was a little crowded, but I dont' recall waiting a long time for food.

We ate there in December and it was wonderful!! OUr waitress was wonderful, as well...and went above and beyond to find a drink for me...

We had a wonderful meal at Concourse.

I got this tip here on the boards. We had our server bring our DD's grilled cheese out with our appetizers and then we ordered them the artist pallet where they paint and decorate their cookies. This entertained them while we ate our entrees. It worked our perfectly.

we ate dinner there last June for DH's birthday. Our kids were 9 & 2 and they were fine with it. Service was great and timely. We were on dining plan and tipped extra for the wonderful service. I second the artist palette cookie dessert my girls loved this.

We recieved sub par service here the second week of December of 2005. It wasn't terrible but it was our worst service of our whole trip.

We have had lunch there before and didn't find anything wrong with the service. Our drinks were always filled and the food was brought out fairly quickly. It may just depend on the day as to whether the service is bad or not.

We ate their twice in December. The first dinner was wonderful, great food, excellent service, butterfinger cheesecake to die for. We were wearing the honeymoon pins and they made the dinner extra special congratulating us on and just making a big deal. It was so good we decided for our last night we would do that again, bad idea. The service was slow, the food was ok, and we were sitting next to a very young child who was beyond his element at an 8:30 dinner, needless to say we were sorry we changed our reservation to go there again. We will probably go back but with lower expectations.

ds14 and I had breakfast there on 1/5 and it was excellent - our server was a little delayed getting to us but she explained someone had just fallen in the back and she was taking over her table - it was really no more than a 5 minute wait to order - then the food came out promptly and it was excellent - they have the best eggs benedict we have had other than at YC - we would and will go there again for breakfast - when we left there were several families with small kids and everyone seemed entertained and coloring ::yes::

The Concourse was surprisingly one of our best meals at WDW! The service was excellent and the food was great.

We planned most of our dinners between 5 and 6, and it seemed that the restaurants weren't nearly as busy during this time period.
