Serious WDW Withdrawal

We were at BWV Jan 4-11 and had one of the best vacations of our lives. Two bedroom, two different sets of relatives (first 4 days, last 5), no friction, great food and got to do everything we wanted to do. The weather was terrific, though it was a little crispy at night towards the end of the week. With my 7 yr old granddaughter the first part of the week and my SIL making her first-ever trip, it was a delight to see everything through their eyes. We've got 1BR at AKL booked in November, but that's a loooooonnnng time away. The good memories of January will have to last.

We were there over Thanksgiving and are leaving in 10 days to go again, so that helps, but I have been where you are. It is hard to get back into the swing again especially when your next trip is months or even a year away. We are going to be in your shoes after our summer trip. We are going to TRY really hard to go just once a year for a while. I am sure some of you that know me on here...are :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: right now because we have been like 3 times each of the past 2 years.....BUT reality is here now. We have a dd starting college in Aug. and we have a son that will be starting college 3 years after her. So.......we need to put our focus on that right now.

Know what you mean. Two years ago, I moved back to S. Florida after five years in NY. One trip mostly a year and there were a lot of points banked. Multiple trips and Annual Passes that were on fire from use. I had to replace mine twice. Now, no big trips on the horizon. The June trip is only for a couple of days and DD's 16th birthday next January is also only for a few days. Not much to plan for.

This is a real adjustment. Like you are driving 90 miles an hour and in two seconds come to a complete stop. Feel a little like a love bug on a car windshield.

As an aside, DD is a Freshman in High School so there are only a few years left at home. Luckily, Grandparents and Florida's Pre-planned college fund that we bought into will cover a lot of those costs (and I only have 1 not 2). My fear is that we will not do enough together while we can.

Have a great time on your trip.

We were there 12/12-12/20 and I just finished my TR, even figured out how to post pics finally....:rotfl2: Serious withdrawal, especially when it's 10 below (without the wind) outside! We are heading back for 8 days in Aug. and I've already got the countdown going. We are having a "planning dinner" with our friends in a couple of weeks for the Aug. trip and I just ordered the new video so that will help some. Still wish I was there though...pixiedust:

I am working on my own report. Have you posted it? Here is to warmer weather for you and all ya'all (my mon's southern roots come through sometimes) up north. I like the dinner planning idea, have fun planning and on the trip. Maybe I should also order the video.

Cool story. You were able to see the world through 2 first timer's viewpoint. I always enjoy rides where there are a lot of "rookies" experiencing it for the first time. Especially true with Philharmagic and ToT for some reason.
