Hi Everyone! My DH and I are planning a trip for September or October. We have been there before in October and were thinking of going in September. What is the weather like? And how are the crowd in September. I know October was in the high 80's/low 90's, I wasn't sure if it was hotter than that in September? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi,

September is still quite hot. You can plug your dates in here to see exactly what I mean:

Crowds are manageable in October. September is historically one of the lowest attendance periods at WDW.

Enjoy your trip, whatever you decide!

Thats that is very helpful! Yeah I am okay with it being hot I just don't want it to be blistering hot. And I get nervous about the rain in September because of hurricane season. When we went in October it seemed very crowded the week that we went. THanks for you help!!!

We have gone in September the last two years and loved it. The crowds are very low (wait times usually max. of 20 min.). The weather is hot, but at least to us not unbearable. In the past it has rained pretty much everyday, but ony for like 20 min. and maybe a quick thunderstorm here and there. The rain though is usually welcome since it seems to make it cool down a little and often helps thin out crowds. Bring ponchos and you can keep walking around the parks and get in very short lines.

Thank you also, that was very helpful too. Yeah we were looking at september mostly because of the crowds and we would be there for our 1 year anniversary. I really liked it in October though. I think my DH will be my deciding factor because I will be okay with either month. Thanks for your advice!

I agree with the previous posters. It is MUCH warmer in September but the parks are less crowded. However, I love the Food & Wine Festival at EPCOT. :drinking1 So, it's a no brainer for me. I would choose October. :)

We went in October & found it pretty crowded. The weather was great. We decided to go the last week of Sept. into Oct. this year.

Thanks! Yeah I felt it was crowded too the week we went in October. I kept hearing about kids being on a trimester break so I wasn't sure if that had something to do with.

Thanks Kelly! Yeah I like the food and wine festival too.

I went last September. It was the middle of the month, and yes, It was like an oven. I really don't mind the hot weather, but the only thing I didn't like was walking around from park open to close dripping in sweat.

We've gone the end of September into the begining of October the past 2 years and I think that the heat was pretty bearable and the crowds were pretty low *and* we got to enjoy Food and Wine Festival. We also got Free Dining which is a huge plus for us. Also bear in mind that I'm a very Pooh sized person so if I found the heat bearable <look at all those puns> it is probably not a problem for the average person.

We are DVC members and go every third week of September. It is alittle hot, the lovebugs can be bad and the crowds are not bad. In 2007 I went when I was 7 months pregnant. We love going at the time and plan on going every year at that time.
