I know a stupid question, and i am sorry if this has been asked/answered. I have'nt read through the post. Can I use a rate code, on my ressie, for september, and still be eligible for the free dining, ,"If" it is offered?

in the past years I believe it was the only time this was offered. I hope it's offered again as well!

I have my room at POR booked with an AAA discount, but an AP rate would be much better! Anyone else going to be at POR Oct 14-19?:3dglasses

I am looking at AAA right now for rates for the 14th to the 20th. They can get a moderate for $167.20 less then directly through Disney, guess I will have to see what kind of room they get and where. Is POR nice?? We have only stayed on "property" once and that was at the Dolphin.

I'm going 10/26 to 11/3. I hope I get a code. Do you think it's too late for free dining?

Yeah don't hold your breath for that!! Sorry to be a bummer on that, but that tends to be a busier time because you will be there for Halloween.

We are going September 22 - Sept. 30. I called last week with AAA and got POR for $116.00 a night plus tax. I was excited well I called yesterday just checking and the sweet girl on the other end of the phone said I had a code come up I ended up gettine the room for $87.oo a night plus tax. I am so excited. She was super nice! I used a phone number I got off these boards not the regular one.

I tried to book my brother last year for the free dining (they ended up taking a cruise instead...) but the travel agent told me that even if your vacation STARTS on the last day of the promotion, the promotion extends through the end of your stay. I think it was Sept 30th last year for the last day... not sure if they will offer it - I do believe that you cannot get room only discounts and the free dining - at least with the AAA one...not sure how it works otherwise...

Add me to the list would love to know if they will be offering free dinning in July/Aug. Can only hope.

If you have already booked a room and then they offer free dining, does your room go back up to original price in order to get free dining? How do they work all that?
THANKS

Hi!!!:wave2: We will be staying at POR for the FIRST time ever from October 23-28th. Can't wait! Maybe we need to get a DIS meet going for all the DIS board friends staying there at the same time!!!

You can only get the free dining with a "package" not a room reservation. The CM would look for a package for you in the computer and then cancel your room reservation. When promotions are released, there is not always availability at all resorts for certain times. Holding a reservation does not increase your chances of getting the package at your desired resort. I find it's always better to be mentally ready that the resort you want may not be available, so having a back up resort or two really makes the whole process less painless. We are ready and hoping for Pop, but am prepared that it might not be available so we are willing to accept any A/S. Last year availability was better because we ALL had the same opportunity to book. This year it's all different. Since the UK guest got to book their reservations last year for this Aug/Sept and in Nov/Dec the bounce back program let folks book their reservations, once it's open to the public we are only going to be offered the "leftovers". My advice (and I did the free DDP in 2005 and 2006) is to be prepared to book immediately and not have your heart set on any one resort--flexibility is the key if you want the free DDP.

We went last year starting on September 28th through October 6th. Our free dining lasted for the entire trip (even though the promotion ended on Sept 30th) We just happened to "luck out", as our plane tickets were already purchased for those dates.

I booked the Bounce Back Program when I was there in Dec '06 for Sept 29th-Oct 7th. Free dining is August 5th-Sept 29th for 2007. I had asked the CM for the latest date I could book for and still get free dining. He assured me that as long as we checked in by Sept 29th we'd have free dining for the length of our stay. When I told him I had an AP, he made the comment "then all you guys will need for this pkg is a one day ticket. Right?" I asked him if the DDP will ever be offered for sale to AP holders, he laughed and said he doubted it saying unfortunately rack rates would probably always be required in order to get the DDP.

Subscribing.
Arriving 10/6/07.

Here's hoping for some pixiedust: and good codes.

I am subbing too ... we are already booked using our DVC points, but have others that may go with us. We are going 9/30 - 10/7. I can't wait, it will be our first WDW trip! I can't wait for MNSSHP and F&WF. Now I just need to get there for Christmas! LOL
