This is how we feel. Next year we are saying goodbye to our usual week in November, because it just keeps getting more and more crowded. So we are going Sept 3-10th 2016! We know it will be HOT, but the crowds will be great! And we will take lower crowds over the weather any day.It is a good trade off hot for lower crowds. One I'll gladly take!
Heading to WDW next weekend for park hopping 9/14 - 9/17. Just got the 1st day forecast and it is consistent with the past few weeks; 90-95F and 10000% humidity. It does look like rain, so maybe the clouds will dampen some of the beating sun.
I live in South Carolina and we deal with the same heat most of the time. I can imagine the shock for anyone north of the Mason-Dixon this time of year. So those of you that go this month, can you beat the heat? Do you think the cloud cover dampens the heat? Fellow Southerners...is it just like "home" for you?
That's what I wear 90% of the year, some sort of dri fit t shirt, usually from a race I've run and in the last couple of years board short surf companies have been coming out with these new board shorts that are meant to be worn in or out of the water, making them really light and cool. That's what I wear pretty much year round, jeans and a light sweater or hoodie is what I wear on the few cool/cold days.Us Floridians don't love our 85-95 degree days with 80% humidity, but we keep hydrated and find shade! Also, we dress for the heat. I was at Disney last weekend (Temp in the mid-80s, humidity 70%+, and sunny) and I saw people wearing JEANS.That is what we wear in WINTER down here.
I am a big fan of moisture wicking clothes, light shorts/skirts, and NO JEANS, not even jean shorts.
The low crowd level meant we were not even outside that much, we were on A/C'd rides a lot due to short lines![]()
It's supposed to cool off quite a bit here while we're in FL so I'm sure that coming back to Denver fall weather is going to be a very welcome relief!Speak for yourself. This Floridian absolutely loves the weather here in Florida in both summer and winter. Humidity doesn't even bother me in the least. I was at Disney last week and I was not paying any attention to what everyone else was wearing, I go for the rides and attractions. I wear shorts and a polo shirt all year long.Us Floridians don't love our 85-95 degree days with 80% humidity, but we keep hydrated and find shade! Also, we dress for the heat. As a lifelong Wisconsinite, I feel the same as you. We went once in December and hated packing twice as much stuff for the trip. We needed jeans, sweatshirts, shorts, t-shirts, and a light jacket. (No hats and gloves, but coming from Wisconsin 40 degrees is like a cool autumn morning.) As for the heat and humidity, it bothers my wife more than me, but we both agree that if we dress appropriately, drink plenty of water, and take advantage of A/C when we need it, it isn't too terrible.
