September crew... what are you doing?

I got the confirmation email and clicked "yes." We are still most probably going (unless something drastically changes), though I am still nervous since we are in the gang of people with resort reservations but no theme park tickets, and therefore no park reservations. Worried that by the time we are allowed to buy tickets, park reservations may be unavailable. Then again, I wouldn't rule out a trip just to stay at the resort and enjoy the pools and dining at DS and resorts.

I think my TA has to click the button. I don’t actually have one?🤷‍♀️

September is my second trip and I am starting to think about whether or not I really want to go. I'm still all in for July, but I don't know if I really want to continue to stress about my second trip. I'm also not entirely sure that I want to make a second drive to Disney World.

I don't know, I'm just ready for 2020 to be over.

If the numbers get worse, we may not be able to go because of who may get quarantine? Still watching the news but have 10 weeks before we leave.

My husband is still stuck on the "no free dining" thing. I just want to make some ADRs, so I can budget the food and show him it won't be that big of a deal since we got a room discount and will be getting our park hoppers changed to a base ticket. And I hope Florida gets it's s*** together so I don't have to cancel because Florida is being Florida.

Still stuck here. Renting DVC points, so I'm going come h*** or high water. Trying to be positive and think of the wonderful things I can do not park related so that if I'm stuck without tickets, we'll still have a good vacation. However, my two SW fans are not happy right now.

Following. We are October (rebooked from May.) At this point I’m super concerned about the spikes in FL, not to mention all the diminished experiences. I would say we are 90% going to cancel and reschedule for Oct 2021.

Hi, we're from NY, suppose to go mid August. Now with the quarantine in place, I'm not feeling too positive about Aug. I'm thinking about pushing it out 1 month to mid-Sept. Still waiting to hear about the points I rented when they expire. Any other New Yorker's due to go in August? NY has mandatory quarantine when returning for 2 weeks. UGH! I've never worked so hard on planning a vacation!

I think mid September will be a good time. Previous large outbreaks took 2-3 months to level out. Then people will head out again and it will spike November-December again :) ! This is our new life until something like a vaccine shakes out. A bigger worry is if Disney postpones opening and sends workers home. It takes a few months to get that machine moving again.

We are from CT and were supposed to be there in August. We were traveling with other families and between us had a combination of resort reservations ( totally cancelable) and DVC point rentals ( non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled past our August travel dates). We are completely bummed out about canceling especially in light of losing all the money spent on dvc points but when push comes to shove not worth the risk of getting Covid.
Now looking at rebooking for next April ( that is the only time we can reschedule ) the prices are as high as I’ve ever seen them. Our kids always have Easter week off from school so that doesn’t help - but wow. We have all learned a very expensive lesson though and that is to never book anything that is not refundable.

As of today we’re still planning on going in Sept. Since BWI won’t be open, I called (took all day) and was able to move to BC. I am still worried about wearing the masks. We live in the south where the weather is comparable to FL & it’s pretty miserable wearing a mask & that’s just for a short time. So definitely worried about having it on long term. Also, I’m concerned about catching COVID while there, especially since last time we were there I contracted the flu. And lastly, I’m worried about all the unknowns, like if we’ll be able to rebook the ADRs we loss, how is Disney going to handle ride lines, will people obey the social distancing & mask rules & will Disney actually enforce it, how long will it take to get in the parks, is the bus really safe, how long will dining waits be, will it really be that much less crowded, etc. It’s all a worry, but I still have hope that’ll be ok.

Still on track to go Sept 26- Oct 4. From PA so no to FL quarantine yet, my work place says I might not be allowed back to work for two weeks, but I'm going to be honest I have the best boss in the world and the time to take. All other uses of my time have been cancelled this year and my employer offers ample time off, so I'm willing to take that risk. We were supposed to stay at WL, but of course that won't be open, so our TA got us moved to YC. Got park reservations, and hopeful the cases in FL will level off in the next couple of months. Trying to stay positive here.

We're still planning on Sept 12-20 (actually arriving in FL Sept 2). Can't wait. We're coming from IL where we already had our spike and since the virus seems to be either 1. weakening or 2. treatments are working I'm not too worried.

We will be taking a lot of mask breaks though for SURE! (in the designated areas)

I am still on the fence about my Labor Day week vacation. Originally, I had a vacation planned for May staying at the Boardwalk Inn. Since, the resort is closed in September, I was moved to a Tower Studio (smallest room) at the Riviera Resort -- tried to call back to switch the room to a deluxe studio, but cannot wait 3 plus hours on hold. I feel like the room will be too small for 2 adult women. I have park reservations, (after two days of phone calls) and awaiting the opportunity to make some dining reservations. It is a hard decision, because I want a relaxing vacation, but my personality tends to be high strung and do not want to be worrying every minute about health precautions and contracting the virus. If the situation ever gets better, I plan to schedule shorter/weekend type trips to Disney, along with an annual longer trip (if I can afford it) -- life is too short.

Don’t forget it’s Magical Dining Month! There’s 120+ restaurants that participate, many at DS and both the high end restaurants at the Swan & Dolphin. $35 a person for a 3 course meal. We’re going to places we would never splurge on since our Deluxe Dining package got cancelled!

How do you know which restaurants are participating in Magical Dining month?
