September Check In

it's times like these where we all wish we froze some winter snowballs to have a snowball fight, huh? LOL

You know, I'm normally not a fan of the cold or snow, but after experiencing this heat I may just have to make an exception!! I love summer, but this is just shy of torture.

We'll be there Sept 13th-17th, staying at the Desert Inn & Suites. I'm hoping that weekdays in mid-september will mean smaller crowds.

We're going Sept 7th thru the 12th and staying at the DLH.

:thumbsup2 Nice dates, maybe we'll see you there! I know I'll be looking for some LGMH's.

I'm sure hoping they are too. Actually, if they are like the crowds we saw in March, I'll be happy. As long as it isn't packed-packed. The only thing I'm worried about is the people stopping by DLR because of the D23-Expo. on the 10th.

Getting you both added now. I may be a little slow with anyone who jumps in right now. My laptop crashed and the computer I'm using is a PITA!!

Hi there! Would you mind adding that we are staying at the HoJo for our dates (25-30)? Pretty please? lol I feel all alone without the hotel listed. :sad1: lol Thanks!!!! :thumbsup2

September 9th - 13th at Disneyland Hotel!

We're doing the D23 Expo and this is our first trip to DLR! We couldn't be more excited!!!!!

Still debating between booking Goofy's Kitchen or Minnie and Friends and what time we would book for. Any suggestions would be great. See y'all out there!

You'll be there at the same time as me :thumbsup2 Hope you enjoy the Expo. I wish I was going, lol.

As for Goofy's or Minnie's, I've only ever done Minnie's and have only amazing things to say about it. If you wanted to check out my TR (link in my siggy) I have quick links on the first post that will take you to my experience with Minnie's (Day 4 of my March 2009 trip). I'm having a hard time deciding which ones I want to do in September but I know I'm doing Goofy's for sure and thinking about adding in another trip to Minnie's.

Thank you!!!!!! :woohoo:

You're very welcome!

Count me in!

After a whole month of deciding when/which park/which hotel we booked 2 nights at GCH - Sept 29 - Oct 1 today!:cool1: We're also gonna add some days at a pricelined hotel (still need to get an approved bid!) so our whole trip will be Sept 26-Oct 1. Wish we could swing GCH the whole time, oh well.

Save the money for WDW, save the money for WDW!!! Oh, I'm sorry, what was that??:rolleyes1

86 Days!!! :goodvibes

We are coming for the D23 Convention. We will be arriving on Friday September 11th will be staying until Wednesday September 16th. We will be staying at the Best Western Park Place Inn.

:cool1: I sure would love to get back to the GCH too, and after your last experience I don't think I'd ever want to leave! How awesome that ya'll are going back. September isn't that far away.

Thanks, Belle Ella!

And I'll definitely check out your link. Right now I'm stuck smack dab in the middle of GK And Minnie's and I need someone to push me in one direction or another. :upsidedow

One thing to keep in mind is that Minnie's is a breakfast only option - if that plays into your decision at all. But I loved that it's the only character dining option that is offered inside DL. Going in first thing in the morning and bypassing everyone who was being held up at the ropes at the end of Main St. was so so exciting. I'll do it again if I can gather up more money for it. I want to try all of the character dining at least once so we're planning on doing 2 others in September (GK for my birthday and AG on another day) and if I can talk everyone into it I'll add M&F as a #3.

I'm taking my first trip to DL Aug 28-Sept 4th and we'll be staying at Red Lion Hotel.

How exciting - your first time at DLR! Make sure to grab a 1st visit button while you're there.

You know what I noticed when I looked at the calendar this morning? I have exactly 2 months until I'm there!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

This past weekend we booked our first trip. Cast of characters.

DW - Danelle (33)
DH - Kim (turning 35 first day of trip)
DS - Brody (will technically be 1 on trip Bday is Sept 30)

Dates: Sept 5 - Sept 14

Hotel: Best Western Anaheim Inn

Purpose: We debated going to the D23 convention. We wanted to but already had a trip booked to DW in Oct. Seemed wishful thinking to think we could do both. We decided to do it anyway. We are going on the 5th so DH gets to celebrate his Bday in DL.

Very excited about our upcoming trip. A little out of our element though. We are used to DW and are not sure what to expect. We know it is Disney so a good time is sure to follow.

Another DLR first timer! I hope you get to enjoy your time. I've never done WDW (minus one excursion when I was only 6 months old, lol) so I can't offer any advice of my own to WDW vets who come to DLR for the first time. If you haven't already, I highly reccommend checking out HydroGuys' DLR Guide for WDW Vets!

I'll get you added in a moment.

I am so jealous about that, lol. You've got one less day until you arrive than I do!

Speaking of ... I am exactly 60 days out!! Made our first PS today and I am riding a Disney-planning high. :cool1:
