I just realized that I never responded to this thread for our September trip! DH and I will be there celebrating our anniversary September 17th-20th, staying at Hojos!

My friend is a SM lover as well so she's silently mourning the loss of that ride while we'll be gone. It's not really my cup of tea. I'm more bummed about the Casey Jr. Train and Storyland Canal Boats myself. I'm sure you'll have a great time regardless though. And a happy early birthday to you! Mine is on the 10th!! I am jealous you'll be getting 6 days in the park! Makes me wish I could take off a whole week from work. I'm totally pushing it with the 5 days we'll be gone and those include our loooong traveling days.

I will also be missing casey Jr. and the Canal boats, I never went on them last time I was there, so am kicking myself now

Yeah the dates are WIERD. I was born in '81, 8+1=9. turned 18 on 9/9/99, again 1+8=9, and turning 28 on 09/09/09, 2+8=10 DOOP well its close to 9

Real bummed to be missing HM and SM though. Hope something works out and there are OPEN. Oh i hope I hope I hope.

If there is any way that you can visit the Haunted Mansion before 09/10/09 that would be great, that way you will be able to visit the current mansion, before it closes its doors for HMH installation.

That was the original plan to go sept. 4-11 but then had to move it ahead a few day due to work. I will just have to come back a few months later and do it again. we are thinking of upgreading to AP's when we are there.

I forgot to add that we are staying at the Hyatt Regency. The conference is Wed-Fri with Tuesday registration and we aren't leaving until Sunday, so we should have a good amount of park time. I'm still trying to decide if I will go to the parks alone during the day or not.

We have our hotels confirmed.
9/26-10/1
First 2 nights - Anaheim Marriott Suites
3rd night - Paradise Pier
4th & 5th night - Grand Californian!

Also, we might be staying longer in Disney instead of heading down to San Diego - so I just might update again!

My DD, DH and I are going in Sept!! I am celebrating my 30th birthday and my DD will be celebrating her 6th birthday! We are so excited. Our trip is Sept. 26-Oct 1 at Paradise Pier Hotel.

We will be there too in September from the 10th to the 14th, celebrating Dh's 35th Birthday. Just made PS's at the Napa Rose for the chefs counter @ 5:30 and requested seats 5 and 6...can't wait! Also we're staying at GCH, using our DVC points.

We're flying in on the 16th and staying until the 22nd. After that, we're moving on for the rest of our trip. I haven't been to Disneyland since 1984 (loooong over due) and cannot wait!

Hi there! It's our first time going to California and my husband and I get just one day @ DL on 9/21 (or 9/22 if by some miracle HM is announced to be reopened). Very disappointed to hear about SM and HM, esp. considering I can't find any place on the DL website that lists either as being closed then. Reading this thread is the first I heard of it. So confused. Le sigh.

Not sure where we're staying yet, going to name my own price on Priceline and hope to get Laguna Cliffs Marriott (Dana Point). Otherwise maybe Newport Beach. Hope the traffic won't be too bad!!

We're discussing our dining choices today. I'll be calling to make our PS reservations tomorrow.

Now if Disney would just post park hours for the end of September...

Announced closures on DL website only go through their announced hours and entertainment schedule. I wouldn't hold out too much hope for Haunted Mansion Holiday to be open the 22nd, since they aren't shutting it down for the overlay until the 10th. They usually have it down earlier than that, so I'm guessing they will be rushing for the kick off to the Halloween season on 9/25. As fas as SM, they have never done the Halloween overlay, so it may or may not take the full time to get it Halloween ready.
