September Check-in - September has Arrived!

Pattyduke34 ~ it's great to see that we aren't the only adults that like to visit the Disney parks without children!!!! Hope you have a wonderful trip.

I'm only 30, but DH and I don't have children and we still LOVE Disneyland so much that we're willing to sit 14 hours on a plane to get there!

I have some more info on our trip. We will be splitting our stay:
GCH Sept 22-23
DLH Sept 24-27

Just as an FYI for those staying at the GCH Sept 24-27: You will want to request a room away from the signature suites. There is a conference for test pilots and the large aerospace companies reserve the signature suites and open them as hospitality rooms throughout the week. The festivities last long into the night and as they provide a premium open bar, it can get a little rowdy:scared:

DH attends this conference yearly and I request a room as far away from the action as possible. It's interesting that this year they have offered us the option of all 3 Disney hotels, so I guess they're expecting a large turnout and want to spread everyone out. Anyway, just a heads up in case you see lots of people dressed up in a variety of military dress wandering around the resort.

Will the conference have a big impact on crowd levels? September is becoming tricky to plan.
First HM will be down first of the month, them this conference, dapper day. Thinking about September 23-25 three full days at parks. The 25 is my birthday I wouldn't mind spending it at Disneyland
This will be the third time I have moved my dates around:eek:

Hi! Thanks for this thread! We will be going around Sept 15-19. Dates are set yet, but we will staying at the DLH.

I'm flying in on Sunday the 14th early staying at The Grand California and leaving late at night on the 16th.

Hi guys, OP here - it's been an absolutely crazy month for me so far, but I will get everybody added to the list at some point this week - as soon as I feel some cognitive function returning to my brain, that is!

We will be staying at Grand Californian Villas Sept 14-20. Surprise birthday trip for DD who turns 9 on the 14th. First time to DL, so excited!!

We're hoping to go the 14th - 17th. Question about the Dapper Days discount -- I can book my reservation online, but we won't be there on the actual day of the event. Is that going to be a problem?

We're going!!

We fly down on the 14th and head back on the 19th. It will be my son's (who will be 3.5 then) first visit and our first family vacation that involve flying and being more than 3 hours from home.

We're staying at the Best Western Park Place (wanted close but unless a special comes up, a Disney one was out of our price range ). Whatever. I think we'll survive.

Well to save almost $400 on our flight, we changed our days by 1 day. So now we're heading down on the 13th and home on the 18th. Everything was booked and paid for today so no changing our minds again.

I think I'm caught up! If you notice a mistake just let me know and I'll try to take care of it ASAP :goodvibes:

I believe tomorrow we hit double digits on the countdown to September 1st :cool1:

Double digits already? I remember that being a milestone while pg and now it's a milestone for DS's first Disney trip (sniff sniff).

I have been seeing around that the Matterhorn will be closed in September

We are taking four first timers!! It will be my first time as an adult with my own DD during a holiday too!

September 2nd-6th staying at HoJo with 50% off rates! Taking our son for his first trip to Disneyland at 9 months old :cool1::love::love:

We're going 9/28-10/3 & staying at the Fairfield Inn. I'm not sure who's more excited- us or our 8 yo DD!

WooHoo - I'm so excited, we've been to Disneyland "umpteen" times but are taking our 4 yr old granddaughter for her FIRST VISIT in September. I'm so excited, as is she of course! We're staying at the BWPPI, 4 nights. Can hardly wait!

So glad to see an "official" September thread now. yay! :)

We are going from September 21-28th. We are booked in at the Residence Inn Marriott Anaheim (not the "maingate" the other one). We have a two bedroom suite booked because we are taking two of my sisters (both with special needs and developmental delays) and one of the gentlemen who lives with my parents (developmental delay). So the girls, which also includes our daughter who will be seven, will be in one bedroom. My husband and I will be in the other. And then Steven will have the pull out couch in the livingroom.

We had applied for help with trip costs from a local trust designed to provide life enriching experiences to adults with intellectual disabilities. They've granted us $5000 to help with trip expenses, and my husband and I are covering the remainder. And I am SOOO excited to get to share this experience with Marie, Jewles, and Steven! My husband, daughter, and I have been two WDW twice in the last two years so DL is a new experience for us, and I know it will be made even more special by getting to share it!

You can see lots of pictures from our first trip at http://td365.wordpress.com - just search Disney or WDW. :)

Is there any chance of our group having a FB group? Our January WDW group created a FB group and it was awesome - we all still keep in touch there (and it was easier to share photos and updates while actually ON our trips).
