***September Car Rentals***

I am so glad I found this thread. I just booked Budget September 26-October 3 Mini-van for 302.47--that's including taxes and fees. I think this is a good deal. What do you guys think? Is the Budget counter located at the airport, or does it require us to take a shuttle? I need a location at the airport. I am traveling with my mom that uses a scooter, so it would be best if the rental car counter was right at the airport. Thanks!

Budget is located at the airport, down with all the other companies.

We used Budget a couple years ago before a cruise. Couldn't'be easier.

We are going Sept. 15-19th and go a compact car through Priceline for $11/day. Yeah!

I got $130.03 using ND1881JDK & 5007160 for a midsize with National.

My question is, do I need to belong the Emerald isle with these codes? I tried to sign up using the mousesavers link and it won't accept my credit card. I know the card is good, but I tried it 3x and it won't work. It says the ccd code is not valid. :confused3 Any ideas what I can do about that? It's the only card I have that I will have with me that is in my name.

did you have a code to put in....

it is usually 3 numbers on the back of the card next to the actual card numbers, it is probably a way to make sure you have the card in hand when you are making purchases

other than that, maybe you can call your credit card company to see why it is not being accepted

My dates changed a tad but my price has gone down! For Sat Sept 11 4:30pm- Sun Sept 19 5:30pm I have total price $167 midsize with Alamo. I am using BJs code 7015223 and the $30 visa coupon on the Alamo site
AD8219SDM.

Yes, I tried 3x times with the CC numbers and code from the back. I used it last night to make a purchase also and it works. No idea why it won't go through.

Guess I will just take my midsize with the Continental discount.

maybe it is a problem with National computers speaking to your banks computer...that happens sometimes

I know my brother in law had problems last week when applying to EA, it seems there were extra "numbers" in the input boxes

why not call national and see what they can do on their end

can anyone recommend a contract+cupon combo for a car at a good price at National or Alamo, BUT it has to forfeit the UNDER-AGE fee, I'm 23 :(
renting proably for 24 hours

Thanks

What's the best rate anyone is getting for a Mini-Van in Sept?

I have an Advantage reservation for Sept 14-20 for a minivan for $234.00 out the door. A little nervous about using Advantage for the first time, but at that price for the minivan we need, I'm taking my chances.

I don't think there is any coupon out there that dismisses the under 25 fee.

My Sept. 29-Oct 5 rate with National also dropped yesterday. Paying $159 for a week rental after taxes and fees. Used a $30 coupon. Mine is for a guaranteed full size (Executive Aisle).

Hey we have the same travel dates! :goodvibes

I just reserved a car with National Sept.29 - Oct 5. Thanks to finding this thread and Mousesavers - I joined the EA and used the BJ's $30 coupon. I was able to secure a price of $144.60 for a midsize. This is so much cheaper than when I first started looking a few months ago - I thought we might have to take ME. But with three little ones we have found it so much easier to rent a car.

I am not that savy in securing car rental deals - I usually just go through the BJ's website and whatever coupon/company gives me the best deal on that day I will book and not give it a second thought until arriving in MCO. Is this something I should continue to research? could I get a better deal than this?

Thanks again to everyone for all the great info!

I booked a 6 days unlimited mileage yesterday with Enterprise for $190 and thats with taxes!! Im like Woot thats awesome!!

EDITED TO SAY: I love the internet!! I went and googled Enterprise car rental discount codes and came up with 15% off a weekly rate and BAM!! Now my rental is $162.00 and its a intermediate size!! Woot!! Even more excited YAY

If anyone is renting for a week, here is the coupon code you can use for 15% off~ ESNR9EP

I originally was using the BJ or entertainment coupon for $30, but saw that the EA members coupon has been released again. This is an e-coupon, so no hard copy needed. It's for $40. The code for that one is ND1881JDK.

We are zipping down for a long weekend to meet up with friends for the start of F&W. Though we are DVC members, this trip is a Pop Century one using the FD that we booked LAST year under the old terms -- 1 day tickets (AP holders) and the basic DDP (not QS).

Here's a new coupon to use -- the credit goes to another disboard member who posted it recently (disneyfanatic108) thanks again.

Thanks. I save $7 more dollars with this code. $143 midsize for a week.

Well no cupon, but a lot of contract IDs do
The question is. which combo works best

When we rented a car in Hawaii I googled for car rental deals, and Thrifty had the best prices because they waived the underage fee. The thing was it HAD to be done through that special website. I'll have to see if I can find or remember what it was.
