September 7, 2014 Dream Cruise!

This will be our 2nd cruise!! We were on the same ship/itinerary September last year & had such a great time, we booked it on the ship. My family (DH, DD - 7 & DS - 4). Will be joined this time by my mother and my FIL & MIL. Looking forward to another wonderful trip!

Just wondering if anyone who is booked in a interior room, would be willing to let my hubby and myself peek in and see the magical porthole? He is claustrophbic and we'd like to see if it's something that we can do for a next cruise (and save a little money).
I'd be willing to let you see into our navigator's verandah. We have a partially obstructed balcony.

Thanks!
Vicky

Hello Reed Family. My family will be sailing on the 4/25 Magic too. I am blessed this year to be booked on 4 disney sailings. I sailed on the February 28 cruise, the one in 13 DAYS, this one and another on 12/12. We just booked the 4/25 under the great military rate. It will be my husband Chris, myself (Kris) and my son Lane 14 and Daughter Cheyenne 11. Too Funny its a small world, where are you guys from? Pensacola Florida here.

Hello! My hubby, our 15 month old daughter and I just booked this cruise! It will be our first time cruising and we are very excited! We are also celebrating our wedding anniversary. This forum is great!:hippie:

My hubby and I (and our 20 month old) will be on the Disney Dream on 9/7/11. The cruise ends on 9/11, a Thursday. We were thinking of possibly staying until Saturday to check out another Disney resort/location since we are in the area (from California). Has anyone done this and is it worth it? Any resort you would recommend over the other considering we have a young toddler?

You can't really go wrong with any Disney resort, it all just depends on what your looking for. Disney has three classifications of resorts. Value, Moderate, and Deluxe. The more you go up the more amenities that are included. However, even the value resorts are Disney quality with Disney service. The great thing about the value resorts are they are larger than life and are themed well for little kids.

Because you have a 20 month old a themed room "Nemo, Lion King, Little Mermaid, or Cars" at Disney's newest value resort Art of Animation could be great. If you just want to relax, enjoy the pools and hotel amenities maybe go up to deluxe or moderate. If you are going to hit the parks, then try to find a resort near the park or parks you frequent most. At Disney "TIME" is the hot commodity.

In my opinion for a quick fun packed, hit the parks, see as much as possible visit……….. stay at a value resort, save your money on the room for fun park activities.

For a little more laid back, some parks, a few resort activities, good themes, nice pools…………. stay at a moderate resort. Port Orleans French Quarter is our favorite.

If you want to relax, take in all that is Disney with great pools that are more like water parks and amenities and activities that make it so you never want to leave the resort then stay at a deluxe. Animal Kingdom Jambo House is our favorite deluxe.

All in all I would say extending your vacation is defiantly worth it, we often hit Disney then catch the boat, but either way you are sure to have a magical vacation.

I'm glad i found this forum, i will be going with my 4 year old Kaitlyn and Kiara will be 3 years old this July and also my mom and aunt to help me out. Will be staying on deck 10. Interested in doing the FE and will be signing up today. I'm from NY and wondering if anyone is flying on 9/06 and any hotel stay info.

We are flying in 9/6, and staying at DoubleTree by Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront. Wanted to be near the port for the next morning, and always love the beach. In fact, staying 2 nights there after the cruise too.

Can I sign up for FE here? It's myself, dh, dd and ds. We have a guarantee room but haven't been assigned an exact room yet. When do they do that? This is our 10th Disney cruise but first time not picking out the room right away ourselves. It's a category 8a room with 2 large portholes/seating. Anyone ever had one of those? Opinions? I know, lots of questions lol.
