September 30, 2012 Dream vacation

We absolutely love Celebration. Steve is a CM so we spend a lot of time at Disney. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

That sounds like it might be a good idea. According to the 4-night Navigator I just found (from July), the boat drill is 3:45 to 4:30, and the Sail Away Party is 4:30 to 5:15. Maybe we could pick a spot near deck 11 so that people could easily attend both a DIS meet and the party?

4:45 on Deck 12 (just above the stage/pools) on the starboard side. That way people can still watch the sail away. Or we can head toward the front of the ship and meet there on deck 12. My husband and I like to be at the front the ship as we sail out of port--we like looking for dolphins and waving at anyone on the pier.

My family just booked this cruise so we will be joining you on the Dream. We are very excited and ready for some great Disney relaxation.

Welcome to the cruise!!! I have added your names to our roll call list, which I will use to make customized lanyards for the cruise. Will you please let me know your stateroom number, for the roll call list, so that I can deliver your lanyards in case we don't see each other at the disboards meet or in the cruise terminal.

As far as I know, the FE list is still open for this cruise--I replied to your PM as well. Please feel free to join us!

I have updated the roll call list, and I am printing lanyard nametags tomorrow. I am receiving 60 customized lanyards for this cruise, so some people (who have not provided names by now) will most likely be receiving solid colored lanyards with cruise specific name badges.

The following cruisers have not provided names to me:

meplus3
Staceycs
wiggles02
twilliams771
Eeyore1979
Angrypenguin

I am missing stateroom numbers for:
WeLuvDCL
DisneyMomto3Boys
dibond38

I went ahead and added them to the FE list this afternoon- to be sure they got on the list

I would vote for nearby the sail away party as we have several kids in our group who i'm sure will want to see the stage. So maybe your suggestion of Deck 12 starboard side, just above stage would be best. Just remind me which is starboard!? as we are facing the stage, is it to my right or left?
Sarah, are you bold enough to stand with your pom-poms they give us and wave them like crazy so we know exactly where to go & who we are meeting? In other words, draw attention to yourself? :rotfl: Maybe some florescent stripes & plaid shorts! That would make it nice and easy to find our group! :rotfl2: Otherwise how do we know our groupies from any random people just watching the show? :confused3

It seems like a lot of us have the earliest boarding time. But how could we ever know each other at the port? I think my daughter & i will be wearing matching sundresses, hot pink with design at the bottom. I will try to match my husband and son too. Maybe that will help somewhat.

I think deck 12 starboard is a good idea. If people want to continue to visit after the party is over, we could move to deck 13 forward as the ship pulls off (or maybe even head to a bar for an adult beverage before dinner?).

"port" has 4 letters just like "left". So starboard is right. Make sense?

Don't know if we got Mickey Mail. Just got off the Magic and had to take DH to ER for swelling. Didnt get to see mail yet but I'm sure its there

I think it's open for just a few short hours as today is the deadline!

The FE list is (soft) locked. If anyone wants to try and get on at this point, they're more than welcome, so long as they understand that not all of us may be able to accommodate their addition.

Now that we have a confirmed list, I have a question for the group. The family and I have done a half-dozen FE's before, and they've run the gamut in size and organization. To that point, I'm curious as to whether we want to have each cabin randomly deliver their gifts, or whether we want to pick days so that they're spread out over the cruise, and we don't have to worry (as much) about overly full pockets.

Seeing that we have 11 groups, now, we could do it over four nights (3/3/3/2) or three nights (4/4/3) (the three night system works better so that we're not delivering/accepting gifts after we've already packed). Any thoughts on this? Or would you prefer just doing it haphazardly?

If the groups wants to pick nights, I'll just add a column to the FE list so that we can keep track of who's where.

Hope all is well with you and yours!

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

I like the idea of assigning a day to deliver the gifts. It makes sure that there is a steady stream of gifts in the FE.

We are open to any day to deliver - just let me know.

Diana

I'm open to anything with the delivery of FE gifts. Being that we have a smaller group, it would probably be easier to keep a steady flow of gifts by dividing them up by 3 or 4 nights. Probably the last 3 nights or would you do the first 3 nights?

Onboard Meet
We will meet on boar around 4:45 on Deck 12 starboard side, just above the stage. This will allow those with kids to continue watching. Shortly after the meet, my hsuband and I will most likely be heading for deck 13 forward as we sail out of port. There has also been some mention of gathering for adults beverages...

To find me in the Port terminal or on the ship...
I believe we have the earliest check in time at the port. Either way, we are coming from the airport and will be catching the first bus to the port. I will be wearing my Disney Dream Maiden Voyage t-shirt. It is gray with a picture of the ship and big bold lettering. My husband will probably be wearing his as well. He will also most likely be wearing his maiden voyage hat (white baseball cap with Maiden Voyage written on the front). If it is a chilly day (just saying that it could happen) then I'll be wearing my maiden voyage hoodie--dark blue with maiden voyage on the back.

Note: I will have lanyards for delivery at the airport, the port, and the meet.
