12 days, Im so excited!!!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

How many of you use lanyards? I dont have one, dont have time to make one and not sure if I have time to buy one (from ebay, etsy, etc).

Do they sell these on the ship?

We use lanyards. Bought ours in the office supply store :-) nothing fancy, but they work!

My 14 yr old DS uses them and sometimes my DH too. I usually don't because I almost always have a bag with me. We have some AAA ones that we got when we went to Disneyland last year, but I've heard that castaway club members get them upon check in so I'm expecting to get our Castaway club ones this time.

I'm sure they sell them on the ship though...it wouldn't be like Disney to miss out on an opportunity like that! :) Of course, they might be cheaper if you buy them ahead of time.

All castaway club members will receive a lanyard at check in. They do sell lanyards in the gift shop...

I know we have a few veteran DCL cruisers on here so maybe someone can help me out...

Would you recommend the daily rainforest spa pass? And if you buy it ahead of time do you pick the day you want to use it or is it just good any day that you choose to use it?
:thanks:

I prefer to buy mine as needed. It seems like I get busy sometimes and don't go on some days so it is a waste to buy the weekly package for me.
I love going to the rainforest...

Wow thats neat! Evidently my room is close to elevators but the bathroom smells like urine :(

Maybe it will be cleaned and fresh smelling for you ;) here is hoping!

Thanks for the advice about the lanyards. I think I will wait and see if I need one. I too plan to always have a small bag with me - having a 4 year old I am sure I will always be carrying *something*! lol

We always bring a room freshener for the bathroom. Fabreze makes a little freshener that doesnt need to be plugged in and is small enough to fit on that tiny shelf in the bathroom you can get them at Target. Makes a big difference :goodvibes

LOL! :rotfl2:

Check the date it was posted. Some of them went back several years. Some on our stateroom were from 2005, I think. I'm sure they probably cleaned the urine smell out of your bathroom by now! :)

LOL ya that and I had a blonde moment. Although I chose "Magic" it gave me all of the ships. Luckily the urine bathroom wasn't on the magic. :cool1:

The only review for our ship was in 2003 and said the bathroom outlet didn't work. Im sure they have fixed that at some point in the last 9 years :confused3

12 Days!!

My 4 year old got excited when she saw this pic! She then asked "where's the captain?" I wondered why she wanted to see a pic of the captain and she said "the captain is Mickey! Duh!" Guess when she sees Minnie she expects Mickey as well lol.

Found this nifty thread that shows reviews of the actual staterooms on each of the ships. You just type in your room # and you can see reviews that others have left. :surfweb:

Awesome, our room has great reviews! :dancer:

I just got done packing all of my daughter's outfits into ziplock bags labeled with which day she will wear what and which shoes to match.

:hyper: Getting so excited!! :hyper:

Next week I will pack up my stuff and my hubby's and I need to pick up his tux for formal night too! Hope I don't forget that! :earboy2:

For her, will make my picture of Captain Mickey for tomorrow's posting .. what's her name?

Sent from my T-Mobile myTouch 3G using DISBoards

We're thinking of doing an all inclusive beach break in Cozumel. It's $50 per person and our 4 year old is $25. Anyone else done this before?

https://www.cozumelcruiseexcursions.com/AllInclusiveResortPass.htm

I just got an email saying there is availability. They only take 30 people per day for this option. The email they sent me says its at the Melia Cozumel All inclusive beach resort. You can even add a day room for $60.

The only turn off is that its 10 miles from port and a $15 taxi ride....

Thank you, I think. I thought I had checked out the cabins we booked, but several of the reviews for two of my cabins reference a noise every one to five minutes from a hydrolic pump of some sort. :scared: The review said it kept them up a couple of nights even though they were happy with the location. :confused3

I've called my TA to see about the possibility of upgrading all three cabins somewhere else on the ship. It is not likely and I'd hate to give up being right next door, but I'm nervous about our long awaited family vacation ending up with restless nights and annoying noises during the day :sad2:

Once again... bring a fan.. it really helps drown out other noises....

When in my house, cleaning, picking up, or cooking, just being ...every time I turn around I see this!!!! { Black Dog is Radar, Reddish Dog is Jason}

That's right, I need to think of what I can do. Thanks for the reminder. I have a 10 inch fan that is battery operated. I think I will suggest our kids do the same for their cabins. I was more worried about them than DH and DS in our cabin. The DS, DIL, and DGS on either side of us are more likely to be disturbed by a repetitive sound. I want them to have a good time and not have some annoyance disturb their joy at being on a Disney cruise.

What about a sound machine?? Peaceful wave sounds coming from the machine would help with the sound and might actually enhance the experience of sleeping out on the ocean!

That is a good idea. We'll probably listen to music with the fan, but it was the concern of hearing that noise when you want to sit quietly outside with nothing but the wind and water sounds that had me worried. :hourglass Not anymore, I'm kissing those worries goodbye and getting ready for my happy place. :beach:
