It does get a little stuffy sometimes so you might want to take a small fan for your room. It really helps.

How small or big can the fan be that you bring on the ship?

According to http://www.cruisefish.net/finder.md there are 91% of cabin CATEGORIES still available...not 91% of total CABINS, but like the CATEGORIES... like 11a, 11b, 5a, 5b, etc...so I don't think the level 1 rooms were the last rooms on the ship...looks like there are a lot of categories with rooms still open.

Got out room numbers! I'm so totally excited, we got 2 inside deluxe connecting rooms! 2635&2637 read on the boards that they may be a little noisy, but CONNECTING.
We saved at least 1200$ for going with the IGT category, but I was so nervous we will need to split up.

Thanks for the tip. Think I will bring a little fan...Was probably some of the last rooms. We didn’t book until a week ago. My sister and mine schedules with work are alittle crazy. Flying into Austin from California where I work, picking up my crew then driving down to Galveston! I just wanted to be on the ship really didn’t care if they stuck us in the engine room! We just needed a vacation....Looking forward to meeting everyone.

I'm with you... just put me somewhere on the ship!

I'm sure you can take anything that fits in your bag.. We always take a small box fan. I think it is about 12-14 in. square. We have also taken a small round one about the same in diameter. We even take them for our veranda rooms. The sound of the fan also helps keep other noises out.

It depends on which cat. they booked ... If you book in a cat on deck 1 then you will most likely be on deck 1.

We are still planning on a 3:00 meeting on the first day. That day is so busy with boarding, drill, sail away party, dinner, shows that earlier doesn't work.
Some people don't have boarding until 2:30, so any earlier would miss them. We need to meet so we can get last minute room changes. Some people may upgrade at the port.

We're in!! Dh just booked this week and as a first time cruiser I am so overwhelmed. There will be 4 us...... myself (Amanda), Dh (Gary), and our two sons Gavin (4) and Grant (2). We were going to drive to Destin for a family vacation but felt compelled to check out the cruises since it would be a shorter drive and was completely shocked to see there were cabins available. We're in the DFW area.

Do you know your cabin # yet? And are you going to hang a fish extender up? I know some people booked late and the fish extender list is closed, but some of us have some extra gifts that we can share.

So, if you are going to hang a fish extender be sure to list your cabin # on here...I'm sure some of us will be able to work a little Disney Magic for your kids!

Okay you Magic people....can ya'll do some trip reports please? There is not a lot of trip reports on the Magic. I did find a few, but not too many.

I am dieing to see more pictures and hear about experiences, especially if you are in concierge. (Concierge on the classic ships confuses me.)

Anyway, I'm going next year so I need pictures and stories to tide me over!

Am I missing something? Where do you see your boarding time? On our online check in signature form, it says Port Arrival Time 11:00-11:30. Is that our boarding time?

Good morning! 12 more days!!

Yes, the meeting is in the Promenade Lounge at 3 p.m. I will also have a dry erase board on my door for any room changes or messages!! However, I have heard that teens often erase messages or even take "stuff" from doors, so it isn't super reliable! My room is next to the "secret deck" on 7, so I don't know how much traffic we'll get. (I've even read of people "peeping" over from the deck to the veranda--really hope that doesn't happen!)
