September 29, 2007 - Magic

How long did it take for them to process your passports? DH and DD applied 10 weeks ago. Was just wondering when I should start getting nervous.

I think you should be safe. At this point if your passports do not come time that would be 18 weeks. If they are taking 18 weeks to process passports in September, I am sure they will push out their relaxation of the rules and let you print out your receipt for proof that you have applied.

12 weeks. and you shouldn't start getting nervous at all, you don't need them until Jan 2008!

59 days away to be exact! I called DCL to add something to our ressies and the guy said "you're only 59 days away". :dance3: :yay:

Woohoo on the 59 days/cruise next month!!! :cool1:

Regarding Passports... we applied for ours on 3/22 and I got them a couple of weeks ago. I think it was around 16 weeks. I did write down our trip date as late September so they might not have expedited it as much as they could have if our trip were sooner.

Someone asked about the Snuba/Sea Trek thing at Coral World. I think they are two seperate things. The Sea Trek you stay in a sort of fenced path underwater and wear a helmet that is totally dry. The snuba is like snorkeling but you breath thru a regulater (like Scuba) and your air tanks follow you along from a raft on top of the water.

We're signed up for the Snuba at 10:00. I hoping some more folks end up booking so that I can do the excursion too. Right now DH is having to take the two big kids while I stay with the littlest. We wanted to book two of us at 10:00 and two of us at 12:00, but they won't start booking a 12:00 tour until the 10:00 is full. They're supposed to let me know if it happens so that we can make the change and all enjoy the Snuba. It sounds great and there are supposed to be a lot of fish at Coki Beach from what I understand.

Who else is parasailing on Castaway Cay? Wonder if we'll be on the boat with any of you guys. We go at 1:30. It's gonna be fun - I think. :scared:

Our DD(7) has actually started looking at this board every day to see how many days are left! She gets more and more excited with every day closer!

We made our chain this week and Eva loves taking a link of the chain off every day. :cheer2:

pirate: Hi,
How old is the little one?

If she/he won't be afraid my wife and I can look after her/him as we have a 4year old in our group she/he can pal up with while you go with the older kids.
gg

Oh, John, that is so sweet. Thank you for offering. If it ends up that they don't book enough for two tours, I'm OK with sitting out. We'll probably go out and snorkle above John and the kids and see what they are doing down there.

My youngest daughter is 5. She'll be 6 in November. If we see you guys over at the beach I'm sure she'd have fun playing with your 4 year old.

Gr00vyChc, the eco-tour sounds really fun. Have a great time!

We are scheduled for parasailing at 10:30am :cool1: and the stingray adventure at 2:00pm.

We are keeping the UPS guy busy delivering new clothes for the cruise;)

TN: Did you already book your Snuba for Coki? Was it through DCL? I think my DH would like to Snuba.. after I do the Sea Trek of course... because like you, we have a little one too and we have to take turns doing some things which is ok.. my DD is perfectly happy playing in the sand.

:surfweb: Hi,
Me again, If you want to grab the 10:00am slot with your husband and older kids you should do it today as there are no 12:00pm slots left, as my group has filled it.. in fact to save time they(my group) will be sitting in on the 10:00 safety briefing. Now you know the rest of the story..
Watching you daughter will be no probem, there seems to be plenty to do while you folks snuba.
Tammy the owner of the snuba called me yesterday and advised that between the briefing and the underwater part it will take about and hour and a half to complete.

chick with grooves, OH! I'm sorry Gr00vychc,
grumpy's humor strikes again.
The offer is extended to you also, one more little one will not break us, we'er going to be there any way. on the ship I will have to make sure that I talk to both girls in my famous Donald Duck voice just to break the ice.

REMEMBER There are only three snuba slots left for the 10:00am dive (they only take 6 at a time), and they are all filled up for the 12:00pm dive...
have a nice day,
gg

When are you going to be in Chicago? That may determine what there is to see.

Hey - do you know where I can get a swimsuit for DD11? She is going to need a new one - she's wearing out her summer ones. I've checked Old Navy and a few other stores around here and they don't have them anymore.
