September 29, 2007 - Magic

Does anyone know how late you can stay on the boat when you get back to FL? I'd like to take my time getting off the ship because we can,
Hi JDBLair,
I think it's around 9:30 am. The second seating for breakfast on that last morning begins at 8 am (first seating breakfast is 6:45 am), so it takes at least 1 hour to get through the meal then another 30 min to get off the ship.

tfc3rid ! Welcome to the cruise ! I would love to have a cat 6 (had a cat 5 on a Wonder cruise once), but the points were just too much for four people, so we're in a cat 9 (deck 2) this time.

MiaSRN62...

Yeah I hear ya... But I couldn't pass it up... How long ago did u book?? On points?? This cruise is a discount in terms of DVC points so you should see if you can take advantage of it...

Hi again,
I did get the discounted DVC points for the four of us (dh, me and two teen dd's). The cat 9 (deck 2) came to 438 points. We didn't have many points to play with because I've been to wdw four times in the past 9 months. I could have done three of us on points and then one on cash for a cat 6 but the cash amount was $1,414. I could just see spending that $1,400 on other things. We also have a summer wdw trip planned so I was trying to be budget conscience. I know we would have totally loved to have had the balcony though......hey, maybe you can have a little cabin party and invite us over ? ;) :rotfl:

He he he... You never know!!!!!!!! I mean I know the points are not the most 'economical' way to pay for the cruise... We haven't used our points since June 2006 and I just bought 150 more SSR points (getting both 2006 and 2007) so I had a large pool to work with so we decided to go for it...

Counting down the days to make Palo Reservations... Although I would LOVE to do the Champagne Brunch as opposed to the Palo Dinner (which we've done twice)...

tfc3rid :welcome:

Our first 7nt was in Sept. 2005 and we had a cat. 11 booked and got upgraded to a 6. It was very nice! Enjoy! We booked a 12 this time due to cost, if we get upgraded that will be wonderful but if not we are just going to enjoy being there.

Amen...

Cruising is enough... We're lucky to have had some great experiences in the past and look forward to a fantastic September cruise...

And NO HURRICANES!!!

Welcome tfc3rid!
So there are rooms in Cat 6 huh? I'm going to see if I can switch to a better room (somewhere closer to the middle). Does it cost extra if we change our rooms?

Can't you do both? Can't you do a dinner and a brunch???? I was planning to schedule a lunch and dinner for DH but if I can only have one--which one do you get??

Does anyone know the official day we can jump online and book our Palo?? :hippie:

Now I just have to figure out which day to brunch and which night to dinner. So many decisions!

Tonight on the Travel Channel they had a more up-to-date Disney cruise special. Man, that really made me excited!!! I think this is the first year I want summer to hurry and come and go!!! :woohoo:

Been wondering where you were. Don't worry, everyone seems to come and go. Darn that life for getting in the way!! ;)

Our 1st Cruise...7nt Eastern Caribbean....."Wish'n the summer away".......HURRY up SEPTEMBER 29th!!!!!

Like your siggy Jajoma ! Only difference between us is I would NEVER wish the summer away ! I live for the warm weather and eternal sun after 6 months of cold/snow/ice ! Being a fellow Pennsylvanian, you know the winters are just too long and the summers too short.
Instead, I'd like to see our cruise as the GRAND FINALE to a glorious summer ! At least that's the way I look at it. :)
:thumbsup2

THanks...

Should be fun... I love cruising on DCL... I'm envious of those who are going Transatlantic this weekend!!!

Can't wait to finally cruise on the Magic and not the Wonder...

Speaking of weather.......
Yikes! I think it might be in the triple digits today!!!!!!!!!:scared1: uuuuuuugggghhh! At least in L.A... slightly cooler in O.C. of course everything is better in the O.C. hehehhehee lol j/k

Next week we'll be in AZ which will be much hotter.. how hot is it there JDBlair? I guess I guess we will be in the pool most of the time...

Happy Wednesday y'all!

Hmm...I don't know how it is outside. I've been in my office since 6:45 this AM! I think they were saying on the news last night that the heat is coming. We had a dust storm last night (unusual for this time of year) and that gave the weather person something to talk about. I just looked up the weather on our local paper and it's predicting 100 degrees for the next 7 days. :woohoo: Time to get some use out of the pool. We're coming to CA tomorrow. DH and I will be near Pasadena Friday - Sunday for a wedding.

You have a good point about it being a great end to the summer. My biggest worry is that my family will be the only people on the cruise complaining it's too cold. I think I read the average temp in Sept is about 80 and that will be about 30 degrees cooler than we're use to. It will still be in the 100's until October here in Phoenix. So, if you see people bundled up sitting by the pool - say hi to us!!! :rotfl:
