I've been playing with Veronica's Mickey Map logo to use as our door sign. I put each of our first names in the four sails. I don't know how to insert the image from a word doc into this reply or I'd show you! If anyone can tell me how, I'll be happy to share!

Hello everyone! Time's getting closer and I'd like to suggest that we hold our luncheon meet on day 2 12 noon at Lumiere's. How does that sound to everyone?

Lumiere's is a bright open restaurant and will make visiting easier. Besides, the statute of Captain Mickey that is in front of the restaurant is one of the first things you see upon boarding and would be a great place to meet before going in.

I vote yes as well...sounds great to me !!! We can hand out the goody bags then. BTW...the goody bags are just something that we have decided to put together for the kids..just to add a little extra :wizard:

I was checking out the coral world website and for anyone doing it on your own they have a coupon for $3.00 off adult admission and $1.00 of child admission. They also have a sea lion interaction program that seems pretty neat. Wish they had dolphins!!!

Tonya

My son had his yearly check-up yesterday and I told my dr we were going on a cruise and asked what he recommend for kids and seasickness. He gave me a rx for phenergan gel..It's really neat you just rub it on your wrist and he said I could use it my self by just doubling the dose. He said he used it on his cruise and it worked great. Just an FYI for anyone looking for something for their kids.

I didn't even think to ask the dr. She has her check-up scheduled for next week so I'll bring it up. I was just going to get ginger drops? I read about those on the board a few months ago and made a mental note. I'll ask the dr. though, thanks! :thumbsup2

On the board they also said for those doing the butterfly farm on your own, there is a coupon for like $1-2 off per person in some guide book that's at the tourist center right where you disembark from the ship. A taxi is a few bucks. The DCL excursion has you there for 45 minutes and takes you somewhere else.

Did he mention if there is any side effects? Maybe I should schedule an appt with the doctor before we go because I'm pretty worried about one of the kids getting sick. I hear ginger is a great help so I'm going to buy some of that soon too! Man, I really need to start a list of all the things I need to buy. I know I keep saying I'm going to start a list but maybe I should really do it? :confused3

Okay so it'll be Lumiere's on sea day 2 at noon.

Can we get this added to post #1 please?

Yes, I always go to the doctor before my cruises and have him write scripts for things against Norwalk virus. He usually writes for Cipro.

My friend got the transderm patches and the worked really well for her. You just put one behind your ear. If you don't have prescription insurance it'll run about $40 for 4.

Have a good day everyone!

Phenergan huh? I think I had that when I was pregnant with my DD (hyperemesis). I'm not so sure if I'm allergic to that one or one of the many meds that I got.. but I'll ask the dr. ... a gel is so much easier to use. I'm thinking about the patch too but I read that there are side effects like hallucinations?? yikes!!! I'm the poor sap who gets terrible motion sickness anywhere.. even on a 1hr flight!

Thanks for the info on the Coral World Tonya. There isn't much to do with a 3 year old really.. we just might look into that. :)

Is anyone else putting signs on their cabin door?

Hi all ~
Checking in after several pages.....I feel like I'm falling behind here ! My last post was waaaay back on page 91 :scared1: :rotfl: We've been fostering a nursing mom cat and 5 kittens and it is alot of work ! Trying to find "forever" homes for them now. Wish me luck !

So much going on......welcome to some of the new additions to our group ! Hi Veronica (love your family pic with matching outfits ! Also your pics of Pirate Night party---we missed that on our last cruise because it got rained out....it was the ONLY night on the 7 night cruise that it rained). Hi and welcome Deweysgirl ! Also "hi" to Trent's wife, Tracy !

Day 2 at Lumiere's noon sounds good to me.
Also....how many goodie bags do we have now ? Even though my kids are teens, I could bring something for the younger kids' bags.

Zane Anthony....you might want to test out the phenergan gel on your child now to see how they react. Drowsiness can be a side affect. Anything put on the skin can absorb at different rates and in different amounts according to skin types and environmental factors. I think it'll be fine, but I'd just check it first.

My plans :
Couldn't get a Palo's brunch :sad1:
We did book the Golden Eagle catamaran in St Martin and Captain's Nautica's in St Thomas. Both are early excursions so we'll have time afterward to shop or sight see. Coral World sounds fun.

We leave for our WDW vacation in about 3 weeks !

Could someone please clarify the DIS Meet lunch day? It's probably just me who is confused but is it the second day Sunday or the second sea day Monday? :confused3

And you call me Polish..
If it's the second day at sea better known as Monday the day after Sunday..
As Saturday is the day of departure (or whatever them navy folks say, I'm Polish remember) and Sunday is the first day at sea thus Monday the second day at sea at 1200 in Lumiere's..:sad2: but what do I know.. this is the way I understand it, thus me and DW will finish our brunch around 12:00 and meet everyone for snack....
going home now.(am at work)
have a nice day tell Harry I said Hi...,

Laura - I used Waltograph font. You can download it from most free font collections.

Pauline and anyone wanting to put the logo in your signature - If you would like the logo in your signature quote this post and copy the IMG code below. Then go to your User CP and click on signature. Paste the code into the box and save. Hope this helps!

Drowsiness is the main side effect, the others are very rare. I used the patch on my cruise and April and was fine. I had no side effects and did not get sick at all.

Yes! I'm using Veronica's and also the one Grumpy-Gramps made. I love that one too!

Wow! I'm having a hard time catching up with this thread now too! I'm so excited!! :cool1: I found some awesome licensed POTC trinkets for the goody bags today at Walmart. Lip gloss, key chains, pins, soap-on-a-rope, bubble bath, etc. They were on clearance so I bought a bunch for our goody bags and some for stocking stuffers too!

Eva - Welcome back! I know you mentioned chocolate coins and I have different stuff to contribute that I bought today, so if you still want to get the chocolate pirate money, that would be great! We can change the front page so it's up to date.

Veronica - Thank you so much for the new logo's, they're great! Loved the family pic you posted, adorable! :goodvibes

Tracy- Welcome! :welcome: Loved the pic of your adorable daughter! What an awesome picture and with the ship in the background, it hardly seems real! :)

Sue- Thanks for keeping up with everyone, I'm sure that's turning into quite some job now! HaHa! :thumbsup2

Denise - I vote yes too for the Lumiere's meet in front of the Mickey statue, that would make a nice picture of all of us too! :grouphug:

Ibela - Thanks for the tip about the coupon for the Butterfly Farm! :hippie:

Pooh667,pahrumpgirl,Tink*s Mama and wagnut65 - :welcome: (and anyone I might have missed!) ;)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Huh???:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I thought that was what I said but in fewer words?

I'm in for the "meet" whenever and wherever...don't tell hubby (Jay) that i am so easy to get along with...I have worked way to hard letting him think otherwise.... :lmao:

Count me in for pirate puzzles and boucey balls for the gift bags...:)

And I read on a thread :surfweb: that you can send things directly to the ship, anyone have any idea on how to do that, the time frame for sending things or the address? TIA
