We too are going on the 9/29 cruise. I can't believe how fast it is coming up. My sister, LaWalz23, has been trying to get me to post on this thread for a long time now. I believe she responded that we are going to bring glow things for the goody bags. I have been reading a couple of pages a day to catch up. I am so excited about all of the great people that are going to be on the cruise.

OMG... you guys have been super busy...i feel so inadequate . I can't believe we are on page #100 and counting!!!

We too are going to Coral World on our own. It seems like there is so much to do there. The boys are super excited to do the Sea Trek thing.

I will be bringing something for the goody bags, just not sure what yet.

No, my family and I will not be wearing matching outfits. We may have similar type t-shirts on here and there but pretty sure DH (Keith) and DS (Jacob) would draw the line at completely matching outfits!! I could just see the looks on their faces now if I were to present matching outfits.

Hi again everyone,

I quickly introduced myself and then left. Sorry about that. I can plan a trip to the parks like a pro, but I am so lost at this whole cruising thing. I have even contemplated not scheduling anything and just playing the whole thing by ear. That way I can tell dh we have to cruise again, so we can do all the things we missed.

Looks like many of us will be celebrating some birthdays on board. My dd turns 8 on 9/8, and my best friend's dd turns 8 on 9/27. We will celebrate both birthdays onboard though. I turn 42 on 10/14, so we may celebrate mine as well.

I love the idea of a goody bag. Is this something that is always done? Or is our group just extra great? I still haven't found the original post talking about it, but I'm thinking some chocolate coins -- if I can find them. Would chocolate be okay with all the moms and dads out there? I know it will still be hot, but I'm hoping by then I'll able to keep them from melting.

Now, for this door sign..... Do I just print it out on paper and put magnets on the back? How does this work?

I've also read that some of you are hoping for Palo's on Pirate night. May I ask why? Is it extra special on that night. We have 2 kiddos, and was thinking that would not be a good night to try to get reservations there.

So, I have nothing booked. Dh and I are certified scuba divers, but our girls aren't old enough. My friend's dd wants to swim with the dolphins. Anyone do that? Is it worthwhile?

What do I need to get that I may not think about until it is too late.....
swim shoes for the girls (well, maybe all of us), what else.

Eva, I think the one thing you can't forgert is princess dresses for the girls. They will want one when they see the other girls with them and they make great pics!

I'm still deciding on goodie bag treats I will let you guys know as soon as I pick something out. Their are just too many things to choose from. We also have a large candy store by us I want to look at.

We're playing everything by ear except the Palo thing and, of course, when the ship sails. I think some people want to do Palo on Pirate night because their kids are scared of pirates. At least, that's what I remember.

I need to start writing my packing list and start buying those "extra" things real soon so it's not one big bill! Oh, now it's time to get really serious people!!

I will be up on Sunday early am as well to get Palo brunch for myself and my parents, hopefully a Palos dinner and excursions.
Even my father is starting to plan. he doesn't want to go to the Butterfly farm in St. Matin but the rest of the family overruled him.
We will probably do Coral World on our own as we think we may need more than 90 min there. Does anyone know the approximate cost of a taxi and might the taxi also be willing to take us to the mountain top. We will probably also take the tram but really want to do some shopping. Is there any advantage of downtown as opposed to the place near the ships that I have read about?

While you certainly can shop in StMaarten, St Thomas is really, I think the better place for it. JMO!

Lumiere's is a bright open restaurant and will make visiting easier. Besides, the statute of Captain Mickey that is in front of the restaurant is one of the first things you see upon boarding and would be a great place to meet before going in.

I took the Eastern in March so if anyone wants to ask questions, fire away. I'm not implying that I'm an expert by any means but like to help if I can.

I'm really starting to get excited about the cruise but have always been excited about meeting everyone. You can never have too many friends!

I can't get my DH to wear matching outfits either.. the best I can do is color coordinate.

Ok, so we can start accessing the reservations at 1am EST on the 16th? Is that correct? Then that'll be 10pm on the 15th for me. So, I'll be here at 11pm sunday!!!!!
Hhhmmm so that means I have to decide which excursions to go to between now and then
