I also keep checking for tfc3rid's weather updates. Thank you for posting them.

Happy, safe travels to everyone who has left or will be leaving shortly!pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

I still have a load of laundry to do before I can start to pack. I am such a procrastinator!

I will be checking the board until Friday evening sometime since we do not leave until early Saturday. I am so ready to get this party started!party:

Safe travels everyone. We live just south of the Cape, so we aren't leaving until Saturday -- around noon.

I guess I'll be here all by my lonesome soon. That's okay. I can't wait to meet up with everyone on the ship.

We live just north of the Cape, so I'll still be on! I haven't had anything to say lately, but I've been reading!! I've been refreshing the weather page every chance I get, as well, but I prefer to read everyone else's posts! It's much happier!

I'm almost done packing, so now I'm going to unpack, remove about 25%, and start again. There's no way 2 adults and a three year old need 6 bags. If that means we don't take a full bag of princess dresses, then so be it, but I refuse on principle to be the folks that show up with enough stuff to be marooned at sea, not just going on a 1-week cruise. 5 bags, of course, is ok. :lmao: Well, I'll do my best. Two of the bags are garment bags, so they're small. I'll console myself with that while packing.

On the scary side, I went to see my doctor today to follow-up from my stomach bug last week, and he is "not yet comfortable with my going on the cruise." :scared1: I believe he took one look at the pure panic on my face and relented, though, but he said he'll let me know tomorrow after he gets the bloodwork results. Then he discretely offered me all prescriptions I might need no matter what the results, so I think we came to an understanding (that is, unless I'm legitimately unwell or contagious, I'm going on the cruise - I know how to take it easy, and where better than on a cruise?? He should think it's a great idea!:rotfl:). Thank goodness for travel insurance, or I'd be having a true panic attack right now, even though I think everything's working out.

I sure hope to see everyone on Saturday! Rain, shine, or on medication, I hope to be there! I'll be the one doing the happy dance, which looks suspisciously like the potty dance (that is, I will be so excited I can't sit still). Sorry, dancing isn't my thing. But I mean well. :rolleyes1

For those of you leaving soon, have a great trip to FL!

Hmm...after thinking about my doctor visit some more, I wonder if my doctor didn't just use a scare tactic to get me to agree to more blood work without a fight. If it is, that was sneaky. And well done, seeing as he relented immediately after I agreed to drive right away to get my bloodwork done (which I did). Sigh. Is it Saturday yet??

I'm heading out ! No time to read today's posts.....sorry....I will when I get settled in WDW. I'll be sleeping in WDW tonight ! Off to catch a plane !!!
See u all soon....hope everyone is as excited as we are !

I'm heading out from work shortly. Everyone left, have a great journey down to Florida. Be safe, be vigilant. See you all at Port Canaveral on Saturday afternoon!!!

UPDATE: New model runs are in showing that Tropical Storm Karen will not curve to the north but will hit South Florida as a Cat. 4 hurricane on Sunday, October 7.

Staci, I hope your results turn out with the best possible result and that you are feeling perfect by Saturday. pixiedust: You're right, there is no better place to take it easy than a cruise.

Staci Jo - hope you're feeling well to get on the ship on Saturday!!!

Well, hard to believe but it's 3:30 our time and we are pretty much packed. The goal was to get it all done before Jacob is home from school and he's due in 45 minutes! :woohoo:

Dental appointment was 2 hours! :scared1: I immediately told them I was leaving for a cruise in the AM and had a lot to do. They worked on me for 2 hours so it's not like I sat there waiting. But future notes for you all - don't schedule dental appointments the day before a vacation!!!

So, now that I'm packed, I am beyond excited! BEYOND!!!!! I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep tonight!!!!! :cheer2: :woohoo: :dance3: :hyper: :rockband: :dancer: party: :jumping1: :drinking1 :drinking: :sail: ::MickeyMo :goofy:

OMG! I hope you are kidding , we live in Florida but will be on the cruise, we won't be able to prepare for a huricane. God, I really need to look into this now. :sad2:

Do people kid about hurricanes? :confused3 If they do, shame on them! :sad2:

I hope the hurricane threats are just that and the country is spared hurricanes!!!

I can not find anything that indicates Karen will turn into a Cat. 4 Hurricane or hit Florida. I was wondering if you could provide where you are getting your data from? I think they may be giving inaccurate information.

Jac - you are right, these things are not taken lightly, we spend days preparing for Hurricanes. Our area was hit hard by both Hurricane Jean and Hurricane Francis in '04 so needless to say, any Hurricane "hitting" Florida would be of great concern. However, I'm not getting too upset about it because everything we have checked and from what we are seeing says that it will turn North and dissipate in the open waters.

Ok- now,:thumbsup2 back to packing!

Oh that's good news. It would be awful to return from a cruise to a hurricane hitting your house!!! :sad1: :scared:

And now, back to our regularly scheduled crazy packing!!! :rotfl: We're all packing our "carry on" bags full of our "entertainment"!! I'm really excited. DH and the kids don't know a limo is greeting us in Florida. They think it's just a normal car!!! :drive: But it sounds like it's going to be raining when we get to FL?? Oh well. When you live in the "Valley of the Sun", some cloudy skies will be a "break"!!

And now, back to our regularly scheduled crazy packing!!! :rotfl:

I know and I'm getting soooo tired and I can't go to sleep because I STILL HAVE WAY TOO MUCH LEFT TO DO!!! I'm brewing some coffee now, hoping that will help. How exciting for your family when they see that limo, they are gonna freak! :goodvibes  :woohoo: :yay:

I was exhausted last night and am getting sleepy now but am so excited. I really hope they react all excited when they see the car tomorrow but they might be tired and grumpy and show no excitement. I'll kick them if that happens!!

Well, everyone, it's my turn to say farewell and see you either tomorrow or Saturday. We're staying at Country Inn and Suites! Bon Voyage!!!

Well we are packed (and it's only 11 pm!) yay! :thumbsup2

We are leaving tomorrow morning and will see you all on the ship Saturday!

Jac, I will look for you at the CI&S tomorrow night!

Have a safe trip everyone!

And I am hoping for NO hurricanes for anybody!

I'll kick them if that happens!!
:lmao:

Jac and Melissa - See you both either at CI&S or onboard. I'm leaving today as well, will probably be over at the cape by 6 or 7. Safe travels! :grouphug:

I will miss everyone on here today, but, WE ARE GOING ON THE MICKEY BOAT! WhoopWHoop!!!:cool1: See ya real soon!!

My doctor called this morning and gave me the all clear to go on the cruise! Woohoo! No medications or anything, no restrictions! Well, I did have to promise to have another blood test when I get back to make sure I'm back to normal, but I can live with that. The great news is that I haven't gained back all of the weight from before the stomach bug, so I get to gain it back on the boat! Now that is something to be excited about! I just hope to only gain back that weight. I didn't really need it in the first place, but I know it's coming back, so I may as well enjoy getting it back! :rotfl:

I'm all for kicking anyone who isn't excited when they get a surprise limo ride!

I'm also all for hurricanes turning out to sea. Away from us. I'm completely against having a hurricane hitting when we get back. Besides, that could ruin people's vacations at Disney after the cruise. So I'm completely against it. Someone tell the hurricanes that, ok? Actually, tell all tropical activity that. So there.

I can't believe it's the day before the cruise! I can't believe I'm not done packing! :scared1: I'm working from home today, and as you can see, I'm getting a lot done. Perhaps if I did some packing instead of reading the board and watching the weather, I'd feel like I was accomplishing more. I'm sure not getting much done for work!! They understand, though. :)

I can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!! :cheer2:
