September 2016 Trip Thread!!!!

Anyone else find it weird that the fireworks still aren't listed on the weekends in September???? I know someone here posted info that showed they were showing, but it's still not on the DL website! Just find it a bit odd.

I was wondering about that, too! It doesn't show up at all on the "entertainment" schedule, either on the daily or the 5-day one. But, when I looked under "things to do" and applied the fireworks filter, it showed up on the daily schedule. After Labor Day, it just says "Fireworks at Disneyland Park" not specifying which show, at 9:30 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Hi!! It's been a while since I've used these boards! Used them in the past for DL trips and for our DCL trip. Nice to be back.

We are going to Disney Sept 4-5. Driving up from San Diego on the 4th early and hitting up DL and then staying at The Grand Sunday evening. Then using EE to DCA Monday.

super nervous about the road closures for the half marathon. our concierge called us and said DL doesn't open until 9am on Sunday and that the road to our hotel will be closed until 8am.

We actually wound up changing our trip dates from this weekend to September 23-25. I was going to do the half marathon but decided to do a race next year instead. We will fly into LAX around noon Friday, and will take the Disneyland Resort Express to the Quality Inn and Suites on Manchester. We will go to Mickey's Halloween Party on the 23rd and then have park hoppers for the 24th and fly back from LAX on the 25th. I can't wait! I look forward to reading about everybody's trips!

5 days out! The hype is real. 3 days at DL / DCA, 1 each at Knotts / US and a grandpa to babysit evenings? This trip should be epic!

We are headed to Disneyland to celebrate my oldest daughter's 25th birthday. We will be there the 9th-12th. Our annual summer trip got cancelled because I had some health problems that required surgery. I have been given the all-clear to travel, however, I will not be riding rides except dark rides. We are staying at the Grand for the first time. (YAY!!!) Jessica and I love to focus on eating, shopping and shows. We will be taking it easy, and I will rent a wheelchair if I feel too fatigued. I hope to actually take a lot of pictures this trip, and possibly do a trip report.
