September 2014 Discount Watch!

I should point out that I had a similar conversation with reservations and he told me that they are expecting a new discount of some sort in mid-march. For what it's worth.

Since 2005, due to low attendance caused by school and hurricane season.

So what's the consensus...How is F&W starting a week earlier going to effect FD in September? I can't imagine they'll only offer it for the first two weeks
:confused3

I had no idea it was starting early this year. I am so glad I instead decided to cancel our CBR reservation and take advantage of our 35% off deluxe PIN code and reserve a place at BWI from 9/20-9/27! Not a better time of year to be in walking distance to the world showcase! :thumbsup2

One of my best friends is a Disney reservation agent and she was told that they all needed to be prepared to work overtime due to the promo's coming out mid-March.

I am just hoping these will be the promo's that cover September (in 2012 September promo's came out in March- normally they aren't out until May). Probably not, but a girl can wish can't she?:goodvibes

I am hopeing for free dinning too! i booked the memmory make package at the moment. hopeing if i get free dinning it doesn't go up too much.

We are going in September and booked last year, hoping for free dining and will rebook if it is announced. We are 7 adults and a 2-year-old staying in a 2-bedroom villa at Kidani AKL. This is a huge splurge for us. Today, I called to ask about the switch from photo pass to memory maker and the wonderful CM changed mine to memory maker. She asked me if I minded holding and came back to inform me she can change the package and reduced our costs by $1300! I was thrilled! If free dining comes out, the price will go back up but we will still save $1100. It was a good day! I'm still hoping for the free dining though!

Why am I not seeing the Memory Maker offer on the Disney website? When I look at Special Offers, all I see is the spring Stay, Play, Save offer...
What am I doing wrong? :confused3

On the home page, scroll up to "Places to Stay" it will create a drop down menu. All the way on the right side at the bottom is See All Offers.

Click that and you will be brought to a new page with all the current offers.

Awesome! I see it now. Thanks for the help! :thumbsup2

Update on my post above! While I did save this much money upon booking the memory maker, my son called disney back with another question and come to find out the CM made an error and discounted our package much more than they should have. While the offer will save you money, it won't be as much as I stated in my original post. However, disney was kind enough to allow us to keep the discounted price they gave us! :worship:

Glad to hear they are honoring the price you were quoted. One of the reasons they are a great place to vacation!

Booked Sept 6th for 8 nights. Hoping for FREE DINING! We've used it our last 2 wdw Sept trips and it's the best discount for us since we love trying new dining experiences and revisiting our favs.

Will keep checking here for news!!!! pixiedust:

I love, love September and free dining! To me the only downsides are the heat and, of course, the possibility of hurricane (knock on wood, none so far on our trips)! We don't mind the afternoon rain shower as it clears the park and doesn't last long!

For our Sept '12 trip we only had 1 day where it rained ALL day. We happened to be in AK that day and DD remarked that the rain enhanced the day for her bc it made it seem more "jungle or rainforest like". I thought that was a great "glass is half full" attitude!
