If I could ask for prayers for my father in law. He has terminal liver cancer and is not doing well. His organs are swelling and making him uncomfortable and he is hallucinating at night. I think they are going to place him in a care facility since he is becoming a danger to himself. My poor mother in law is a wreck of course and my husband is trying so hard to be a rock for both of them. So any prayers would be wonderful!

jbmom: I will keep your father in law and your family in our thoughts and prayers :grouphug:

When we were there, I remember a sign showing adults going to the line and children going to the play area, while the adults snaked through the queue. I just found some pictures and descriptions online that confirm this, so it does look like they encourage the children to play in the area while the parents are in line. Although, yes, you can also visit the play area either before or after the attraction as well. There is only one specific "toy" in the actual line, which is the interactive honey wall. So I do think they intended the play area to be part of the queue experience as well. However, we were there shortly after it opened to the public, so maybe they have certain procedures in place now that they didn't then? Here is a link to some information (the queue stuff starts on the third picture):

Thanks for posting that! I have not been through any of the new queues yet however my understanding was that the kids get to play and be entertained while we grown-ups are waiting in line :confused3 The idea being that the queue helps ease the wait for the kids. Most likely either DH or I would stand in line while the other supervises the children in the play area. I'm looking forward to the new queue experience when we go, because I think it's a great idea for families!

Hi everyone,

Love reading all your plans for WDW. As this will be my first visit and not being a local (Aussie) could someone please explain (PIN) people receive them but I'm not sure what these are?

Also as we do not celebrate halloween here My DD14 & DD16 are excited to do trick or treating, (I hope this is open for teenages as well) how are people already planning nights when I can't find dates, times or buy tickets..... you guys must have inside knowledge or a lot of experience.... please let me know. Thanks

The MNSSHP dates have not been officially released by Disney yet. However, many sites have listed the projected dates as follows:

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Sept. 13,16,20,23,27,30
October 2,6,7,10,11,13,16,18,20,21,23,25, 27,28,30,31
Nov 1

Most here are making tentative plans on these dates. Just remember until the dates are officially announced, these are subject to change. :)

Also, the MNSSHP hours are from 7pm until midnight. However,in the past Disney has allowed those who have tickets to MNSSHP to enter the park starting as early as 4pm. Though none of the "party" things like the trick-or treating, special meet and greets, dance parties, parade, etc start until 7pm it's nice to ride some rides and be in the park starting at 4pm :thumbsup2

Hope that helps and welcome to our ever growing group! :goodvibes

HTH!:wizard:

Wow! I was off for two days and came back to 10 pages of posts! This is a seriously active group! :o)

DH got excited about putting together packages for the kids and even got on the Disney Store website looking for things like pjs and sunglasses. DD walked in while we were surfing and shot down all the things we had tentatively identified that she'd like! :rolleyes1

Go figure! She's 8 and not into princesses and absolutely ABHORS pink. :headache: Which is a pain because she's blonde and it's a fabulous color on her. She will accept green and likes blue, but purple is too close to pink and all the characters she's into are the ones that are harder to find: Pocahontis, Mulan, Jasmine.

In good news, DH also seemed positive on the MNSSHP! I thought he or I could just take DD but he thinks we have to take DS (3) too. I am not sure on this...I love the boy but he's never been a fan of halloween and last year the *only* part of his costume he'd wear was his cowboy hat. (With his blue coat on he looked less like a cowboy and more like a modern day rancher!)

It will be fun, but alot more planning will be needed to pull it all off without terror and tantrums!

Kids...they grow up too fast don't they. My DD will be 8 in July and still loves all things pink and princess, but I know the day is fast approaching when that will not be the case :sad1:

I think you should take your little guy with! :goodvibes MNSSHP is such a great family party and he would probably enjoy the character dance parties and the low to no lines for rides is a big bonus! The first year we went to Disney and our first MNSSHP my little one was only 15 months old and has gone to the party every year since. It was a little more work when she was younger but every year has been fun and memorable in it's own way :cloud9:

We changed the dates to coincide with my 21st birthday, So we are now going the 18th-25th of January. Have fun in September! :thumbsup2

Great to hear your endorsement. I think this is who we're going to go with. I've read other places on the DisBoards, that their delivery fee for just about anywhere on Disney property is $9.99!

I believe up to $50 has a $17 delivery fee, which is way cheaper than taking a cab there and back, and super convenient. Marge no longer owns it, but the woman she left it to is just as wonderful. We will be ordering from them again on our next trip!

Amy - That Pop outfit for your daughter is awesome! Oh to go back to when I could dress my girl cutie patootie but alas she is 13 and into vampires, etc. So lot's of black.

jbmom - will keep your father in law in our prayers.

We booked yesterday - last day for the room discount and DH said to go CL!! :cool1: We're headed back to the Poly 17-24!

Anytime! Even though we're staying CL I still order water, juice boxes, and yogurt drinks for the room, as well as a box of diapers and wipes for Lilyana.

Amy, love the outfit and the accessories! Did you make the necklace?

Congrats to everyone making their ADRs! I have been changing a few here and there and haven't had a problem.

Gosh, I missed a lot over the weekend!

If I could ask for prayers for my father in law. He has terminal liver cancer and is not doing well. His organs are swelling and making him uncomfortable and he is hallucinating at night. Thanks! Yes, I made the hairbow and the necklace :upsidedow

Praying for your FIL! Many prayers!!

MikellaCinderella you daughter's outfit is so cute (as is she!) princess:

I've never seen a custom made for a resort before!!! How original! :thumbsup2

Thank you! I'm really good at coming up with outfit ideas, unfortunately I don't know how to sew! :confused3 So, I usually just come up with the design, fabrics, etc. and have someone else do it for me. POP looked so colorful and fun for a photo shoot, so I had a digitizer create the icons for me and send them to the designer. We have another custom for POP again this year, but it's pretty simple this time....but still very cute!

Thanks to everyone for the compliments! I just wanted to share a few photos because I was getting overly excited for the next trip! :wizard:

jbmom, I'm also praying for healing and peace for your FIL and whole family!
@haven_alise, I can sympathize (and laugh!) with you on the black. My DD13 is calling it her "emo stage".. funny, though, she wears black and we have dyes her hair to a "stare at me" flame red, but she's happy and cheerful and goofy. She only gets emo when she realizes she will have to let that color grow out if she intends to get in a swimming pool this year!:lmao:

Doi'n the POP
I gave my son the choice. Spiderman or Mickey.....tick/tock/tick/tock.
He says Peter Pan Capt. Hook.....lol
We just went and saw the Peter Pan 360 a couple of weeks ago in Atlanta.
So the DIS it is....lol
Thats my choice anyway. Not much for Universal.:cool1:

Great pics :thumbsup2 I would love if you would post some more!!!! My boys are all grown up, so I guessed I missed that boat of being able to dress up my little girl like a doll (one of my many dreams!) I can wait, but grand daughters one day will be nice! I would love to take them to Disney and do the whole princess thing! I have warned my sons about this and they just roll their eyes :sad2:

Love the idea of of ordering from wegoshop.com. Do you have to be there for delivery or can they deliver to POP with your last name.??
