September 2011 - The Planning Has Started!!!

Hi, I am joining the party! I just booked 2 rooms at Pop Century for Me, DH, DS (11), DD (8), DS (3 at time of travel) We are all so excited. We are going Sept 17-24. We can not wait to do the Halloween Party. DS 2 will be 3 a month before we go and right now he is 36 inches. We hope he can grow 4 inches in 6 months so he can ride more rides with us or he will be one unhappy kid!

We had this issue in Dec, Jack was 38 inches (he was 2 and 3/4 years old), maybe a little more, but not tall enough to ride the 40 inch rides. Luckily I am quite sure he will be tall enough this fall, he has had a pretty serious growth spurt. We will find out for sure at his 3 year check up next month!

Funny! My DS1 is a very tall little boy also, and his father and I are not either! He's actually built exactly like my brother. He is 6, 48" and 48 lbs. He's just big enough for ALL the rides now!!!

We have the exact opposite. I am on the taller side of average (5'9") and my husband is 6'3", everyone in both of our families is tall, but both our girls are on the lower end of the 50th percentile for height. I guess they will shoot up sometime! My oldest couldn't ride the 40" restrictions until last December, when she was finally 41". But I was bummed I couldn't take her on the Men in Black ride at Universal, she would've loved it, but was an inch too short!

I hope everyone's kids get the growth spurts they need before vacation time!

We will be going on our first every WDW trip in September! Actually this is our first ever vacation at all as a family! We will be there Sept. 11 to 15th, hopefully we can snag tickets to MNSSHP while we are there .

So sad to be missing MVMCP this year, but I can't complain, since I know we'll have fun in September. But we are planning on enjoying the Christmas party again in 2012!

My DHs cake will be Jack Skellington Themed

Do boys go through a growth spurt at 3?? My son just turned 3 and he's 39.5 inches tall..... with out shoes.... I told him he needs to start stretching to eek out the last 1/2 inch LOL

And my DD is 40.5..... I told her she needs 3.5 more inches LOL She turned 4 today

MNSSHP is TWO DAYS after we leave.... figures....

O well, when we go back in 2012 we'll have to go twice to make up for it right??

20th! Based off of last years activities it looks like the Villian's Mix N Mingle Show was at 7:45, 9:00, 10:15, and 11:15 pm. Hallowishes was at 9:30pm and a Parade at 10:30pm? Is there usually another parade earlier? just wondering.

No unless you go into the Mk before the party starts. It offically starts at 7pm but you can get in at 4pm with your event ticket.

All of DD's outfits for Disney trips are customs....it's sooo much fun shopping for her! I never want her to grow up!! Wish I had enough talent to create some of these outfits myself, but I can only make the matching hairbows and jewelry....I have to leave the sewing to others. I just got a sewing machine for Christmas this year, but sadly, Mikella will be too old for custom boutique by the time I figure out how to sew anything for her!!

I have tons of designer "friends", so if you ever need an outfit I can give you some names! Most have shops on Ebay or Etsy, and some on FB as well.

That is so beautiful!! I will be very busy sewing outfits (nothing too fancy) for my DD this summer.

I'm betting your son will grow that .5 inch in 5 months. Might be a stretch for your daughter, though. Happy birthday to her! My oldest turned 4 in September, was 41" then. She looks to be about 42" now. Who knows, they both may have a major growth spurt before September! Sorry about missing MNSSHP, what a bummer.

I still need one more dinner. We'll be at MK (CP breakfast) on Fri 23rd. Park closes early for MNSSHP and we are hopping to Epcot, which is open until 12am.

Where to eat? In MK before we leave; Epcot once we get there, or somewhere in a resort restaurant while travelling? Any ideas?

I vote for EPCOT....MANY more choices! However, it would also be easy to eat at any of the restaurants in the resorts along the monorail line on your way to EPCOT as well! Decisions, decisions!

We sat down and did most of our planning today since we can make ADRs next week. Then, we filled out the concierge level itinerary document and sent it into cyberspace! It makes me nervous to let someone else make my reservations, but DH is insisting that we put out faith in the perks.

Not listed above is one room service, 3 Atrium Club breakfasts, and 2 slots that we are leaving open for right now. For the open slots, we'll either do counter service or make last minute reservations. We are also hoping to go to MNSSHP on the 20th and 23rd.
