Gotcha! Thanks! Not a numbers person at all! Any thoughts on the post I made about our bed situation at POR?

I haven't ever stayed at POR, but have stayed at CBR and we just can't do the double beds.

Since you don't know if the changes will be made by the time you get there AND there's no way to guarantee that you would get a room in the location that you request since requests are not guaranteed, I would book the king bed.

That way, you won't be stuck in double beds and you can still put a request on your reservation for location.

I booked our flights today! I was discouraged from what I was finding on the airline websites & Expedia so I called Disney--I got the exact same flight for $140 less total! Came in under budget on flights so I'm sure I'll be able to find somewhere else to spend that money...:rolleyes1

Thank you so much for posting this!! :goodvibes I was at the end of my rope about the airfare for this trip. We usually pay about $79 for flights. AT has them at $124. :sad2: They started at $114, then went to $119, then $124. I was starting to regret my decision to wait them out. Anytime I have ever looked at flights on the WDW site when booking a trip they have been exactly the same as AT's prices on their site. But when you posted this I thought I would call and check anyway. And while we didn't get super low rates like usual, we did get a much better price than they have out right now!! :cool1: Through AT's site it would have been $1077.60 for all 4 of us. I just booked the same exact flights on AT through WDW for $830!!!!!!!!!!!!:banana:

I feel so much better that this is done! :goodvibes Thanks again!

Thanks Sheila! :goodvibes

I hope you get some great rates soon. :wizard: Waiting is no fun.

Does Disney not have anything available that Saturday or just not where you are staying?

I hope it all works out for you very soon! :)

Just no availablity for where we are staying, Studio @ BCV, I am going to keep checking until our fares come out just in case. We could switch to BWV for the entire trip but DH wants to stay at BC.

Good luck this weekend with making your ADR's. I still do not have ours all planned yet. I did pin DH down on a few by showing him some pictures and reading some menus to him.

:woohoo: Way to go! I'm so glad it worked out for you! I hadn't seen any flights listed for less than $124 each way pp either. Plus I wanted to grab the flights that allow us to maximize our times in the parks and didn't want to wait much longer.

I guess it never hurts to call and check!!

Yeah thats what I was thinking too! Ill probably wait til it gets a bit closer to the trip, once we get our Halloween tickets and have all of our tip money (and a little souvenir money!) put aside.

General question for everyone-What souvenir's and trinkets do you know you want to get or ARE going to get on your next trip?

I have done the pick a pearl each of our last three trips. I also tend to buy an Epcot shirt and alot of postcards. This trip I'd also like to get somethings for my kitchen, like a Minnie Mouse apron and some dish towels!

Hey September Disney planners! We just booked for Sept 20 - 29 @ AKV. We have never stayed in any villas but couldn't pass up 40% off. We are booked Kidani Village. It sounds beautiful! Has anyone stayed here before? I'm looking at ordering groceries from greengrocer.com to offset some of the food costs. Has anybody used this service before? Thanks for any info and happy planning!!

Glad everone is getting there flights. I had lots to read up on tonight.

My must have souvenir is a Christmas ornament. We do them for any vacation. It was a tradition my mom used to do and I revived it a few years back.

I didn't like the price mine came out at -- $114. We usually pay $79. So I decided to wait them out. They are now $119. So I am left wondering the same as you -- will they stay the same, will they go up, and will they ever go down???

I'm just going to check every day and if I see them for a lower price I'm booking!
This is stressful!

Have you checked Southwest????? I know if you book with them and the prices go down later you can get a refund to use another time. I book with them, that way I know I won't lose moneyif the prices drop. I would rather do that than miss the lower price if they go up :confused3 .......just a thought! Happy Planning :wizard:

No, if we fly SW I have to drive 2.5 hours north to get to the airport! :scared1:
It's more expensive than AirTran for me, also.

So I bit the bullet and booked flights with Disney today. It may not be the CHEAPEST I'll ever see, but it is still reasonable in price. And it's a load off of my back. ;)

Total price for 2 adults round trip from Minneapolis ran us $738.80. I budgeted $800 realistically due to gas prices. We still came out on top.

Just booked Sept 25 - Oct 6th at the Wilderness Lodge! I look forward to seeing you all in the parks

What an absolutely FANTASTIC idea!!! Thank you for posting this. I am now going to start this tradition with my family. :goodvibes

Our must buy items are Mickey ears, although I'm debating on buying them before we go. Now, I'm also going to buy an ornament. Something that is not a souvenir but, I must get it, is a Dole Whip. I will go out of my way if I have to.

L-Harper will you edit me on the first page? We are booked at the Poly!!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

So, how is it that WDW is getting a better deal on airfare? I guess I should call them tomorrow and see what they can do for me! :thumbsup2
