Thanks Scott & Bob for the Mickey MP3 info...I will check out the stores when we are the States on Friday.

Peter, Friday is also a holiday for me too!!! Yippee a 4 day work week!!!!

So...I'm officially getting excited about this cruise and I think Mom is warming up to the idea of cruising in September....I made another payment today towards the trip because the exchange rate is really good right now...and the CM I spoke to said I was lucky to be booked on this cruise....I told her yup me and a few hundred of my closest friends...I think she thought I was nuts!!!!! If she only knew!!!! :rotfl2:

Good Evening All --

We've been lurking a lot lately. So much going on that we can't keep up with everything. I'm glad everyone seems to be doing well.

We've also been silent lately because we lost one of our precious puppies. Murphy was only 13, but compression fractures in her spine caused her to be paralyzed in the back legs. I know this comes with being a 'parent' but it's been a hard few weeks.

For those experiencing snow... nanny, nanny, boo, boo. It's currently 74 in Orlando and the forcast for tomorrow is SUN! :sunny:

Tracy, thanks for the newsletter. I like keeping up on everything. We'll try to be more partcipatory.

Randall

:earsboy:

Randall & Kevin.....So sorry to hear your news.....sending you a Canadian :grouphug:

Kevin and Randall, so sorry for your loss. I am sure there are many a happy moments to recall. I really believe that all dogs do go to heaven. Our thoughts are with you.

Hi everyone! Just back from DL. Had a great time and exhausting time!! I just quickly read all the posts I missed. Elaine, I saw the MP3 things at Target. Scott - OMG, I can't believe the snow. Keep it away from me. Kevin and Randall, so sorry to hear about your dog. It is very hard to take, no matter how old or young they are.

California Adventure was all decorated for Christmas already. It was really pretty. I think they may have put in white sand by the sun wheel which looks like snow. California Screamin' was open so I got to ride it!! Disneyland had a few Christmas things up, but not much yet. Downtown Disney looked Christmasy. Spent two long days helping friends and got to visit with some more friends from the Ship of Fools. All in all a great time, but a LONG weekend. Now I need some sleep!

Tracy

Thanks Tracy....Target will be one of our first stops when we get across the border!!!!!!

I Think most of them know !!!

Randall & Kevin..... Sorry for your loss..

Kevin and Randall, I am so very sorry to hear about your loss.

Elaine, let's all just keep praying that next September will be a mild hurricane season. Nothing will stop me from going on this cruise, but still that thought stays in the back of my mind. Say hi to your Mom for me, okay?

Peter and Jenn, you will LOVE Wicked! I'd love to go see it again, but now I am too far from Broadway.......I'm not complaining though :goodvibes

Robin

Randall and Kevin sorry for your loss. We are so looking forward to this cruise.

Kevin & Randall ... I wish we could be there to give you a :grouphug: Losing a fur child :paw: is very hard. But think of all the good memories you have that will never go away.

I saw a rumor on another thread that DCL may be stopping the state room door signs/magnets :scared: OMG how will I find our room? Not to mention how much fun it was when the gremlins would fool with them! Hope it's not true.

Jen & Peter ... Enjoy the show.

I know, I know, I've been MIA. I recently spent a week in CA and this Saturday is THE WEDDING!!!

Randall & Kevin, I'm so sorry about your precious pooch. I haven't had a chance to keep up with this thread. Kay, I had no idea that you were impacted by the hurricane. That's terrible. I hope that you're able to be back in your home very soon.

The wedding planning is going well. It's going to be chilly on Saturday, but no rain so I'm happy. :flower:

Hopefully, once this is over and done with, I'll be able to "play" with all of my cruise buddies again.

OK, sounds like Saturday before the wine and cheese meet works for most so we will plan on that for the Celebration meet for now! :cheer2:

Our town trolley may be stopping in Downtown Disney soon and running to Celebration so that would be good for those without cars. We can also pick some of you up and of course for those with cars, Celebration is 5 minutes away form WDW:)

Peter, I didn't. Could only get 10% off so I passed on it. If the link you had is the one you want though (but not an import), I have that one plus a two disc version which includes DCA. Let me know.

Clang Clang Clang goes the trolley...... This will be KEWL!!! Probably better we do before the wine and cheese thing.

I don’t know about the rest of you guys but I am too scarred to click on any of Peter’s hidden or any other links.

A fellow Dis'er called DCL to find out if this was true or not and here is her post:

I called DCL this morning and a supervisor called the ship to find out about the signs. They are still allowed. They are even unofficially encouraged. She said the only ones taken down are "those that are or could be found offensive". Hope this helps.

Thank goodness...I love seeing all the door signs.

On our first cruise, I made a sign for our door 'cause I saw the information here on the boards and I was the only person on the Port side of Deck 2 with a door sign. It was really funny, the second day of our cruise I got myself all confused and was walking down our hall from the aft (we were midship) and I said to my Mom..."hey look there is someone else with a door sign" ...my Mom replied..."Elaine...that's our door!!!!"...DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We actually had three different door signs on the May Repo Cruise and it was easy to tell who was a Dis'er because we received door signs as sailaway gifts from a couple of Dis'ers.

Can you just imagine how many tips our room stewards would lose if they kept taking "stuff" off our stateroom doors. Not to mention that the Oceaneer's Lab couldn't put anything up anymore..........Hi......DCL....I would like to apply for the job of stateroom door monitor...........................

NOT!!!!! :rotfl:

Linda...Linda...Linda..... :rotfl:

The door signs make the cabins feel more homey. Not to mention the fact that it is so much fun to rearrange them when you pass by :rotfl2: Mike

Hello all!

I officially asked for September 15th to October 1st off yesterday. I am waiting to get the official okay before I book my airline tickets. I am not looking forward to talking to Noah's school. I don't know if I should ask now or later? I am leaning towards asking later, because Noah is going to miss one day in December and two in January due to Disney. I am sure my son's teacher is going to be shaking her head, wondering what is our problem. If they only understood.

Tracy, the newsletter was awesome! I enjoyed reading it. Thank you so much for putting it together- and thank you to all the many authors!

Peter- I'm longing for Boston in the fall. Robb and I keep on talking about going back for a vacation. I think Robb wants to go in the summer so we can go to the Cape and I want to go in the fall. I was looking online last night at my favorite chocolate shop and cafe LA Burdicks, which is based in Walpole, NH and has a store in Northampton and Cambridge, MA. Dreaming of cool, crisp New England weather with lots of beautiful trees. (We have the weather here, but not the trees)

Lunch sounds fun before the wine & cheese meet!

Okay, I have a question for my fellow DVC members- do they frequently offer the 15% off? Or are there better deals? We have yet to use our points, but I am considering buying another 120 points. I would prefer to wait until later, if there frequently have deals. (Pay off what we have first)

Here is the photo of Noah at MNSSHP...

Hope everyone has a great week!
