Jill and Tim booked this for all of us. I went on it and had a blast! It was Eli's Ecotour and is at http://www.adventureantigua.com/

Would love to do this again, but may consider other things too on Antigua. Loved this stop!!

Anyone intrested in doing this here is the Link for the tour..

The boat only holds less than 20 people..
and i have heard it is a good time.

Peter you could always go to pineapple beach and watch the beach people al natural. :rotfl2: in Antigua.

Looking forward to meeting everyone is less than 400 days.

We have not comitted to the other trip..
:teeth:

I checked Disneycruise.com and Cat 12 is no longer offered as an option.
All 13 rooms have been sold!! I'm glad I got mine when I did.

Oh I also did a quick calculation and according to Robin's last email we have around 35 rooms booked by disboard members.

This means we now own:

4 %

of the ship! :cool1: Do you think we should set a goal say about 10%.

At least! For the August Repo in just 6 days! (I leave in 4 for those keeping track :teeth: ) DISers have 196 staterooms or about 25% (?). As of Thursday we had 565 people!!

very cool My Bil will be happy to here that ..

He booked cat 12 GTY for a cruise coming up in three weeks and did get upgraded to a 10..
Also he is not on the list ..... Just a lurker...

We have been on many cruises -- something like 10 -- and never had an inside stateroom. We always seem to end up in the aft portion of the ship. We have also never been below deck 5.

When DCL announced the 11-day Southern Caribbean we were very excited. It isn't as long as the Panama Canal, but close. But we also had a long discussion about what we do in the stateroom. We sleep. We watch TV. We watch movies on the laptop. But we don't really look out the window.

So we decided to try an inside stateroom this trip. Other than the rooms are laid out different (and obviously no window), I'm not seeing much difference. We have booked 7503 -- inside and forward. For those who know, are we setting ourselves up for disappointment? :scratchin

But what is really neat, is DCL's website went as far as putting a "You Are Here" dot on our stateroom. I go on line and there is a yellow dot, and if I click on it, I get a picture of our room. SO COOL! Anyone else get this?

To all who can share experiences, a big thanks in advance. :grouphug:

Randall

:earsboy:

P.S. Who ever created this --> :maleficen ROCKS!

Nope you will be ok ..We did the inside thing on the repo !!
and are ok with it ....also again on this trip...Also 2500 vs 5000
We have a Cruise to go on in 2007...

Peter

Randall - we have stayed in Category 4, 6, 10 and 11 over the years cruising with DCL with our upcoming Thankgiving in a Cat. 5 and our Western will be a Cat. 11. We did the same thing that you did - deciding how much time we really spend on the verandah or looking out - not enough to justify the cost for us either. My preference is a 10 (compulsive overpacker here) but we also managed well in the cat. 11 although there is less storage space and I didn't miss the split bathroom as much as I thought I woulld. But, mileage may vary, as always.

Sorry if I missed this - has anyone pulled up their reservation on DCL - I know, silly question, you probably all have. I just took a look at ours and the intinerary - it shows 2 days in St. Lucia and 2 days in Antigua (now we can do Pineapple Beach and Eli's).

It does indeed ?????????????????? NO BARBADOS ????
has to be a mistake on dcl part..

Peter

When they list the 11 day (not with your reservation), it states St. Kitts and Barbados also. No overnights in Antigua or St. Lucia.

Tracy

Gail saw the same thing, but we know that will be corrected shortly ::MickeyMo In our 5 disney and 2 carnival cruises we have only been diverted once during our cruises in September and October due to hurricanes.

I called and explained what I was seeing, said that I was not alone is what I saw - thanks Peter for checking your reservation. She took a look and what she saw was correct so - must just be an error and they will take care of it.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Everyone,

Those who have done the Eco Tour, can you tell me more about it? I looked on the website but was hoping for a little more detail. My youngest son has a foot problem and can't hike too long. Can you tell me how hard the hikes are? Also do you get to spend some time on the beach?

Thanks!

Deb

No beach time. You don't have to do the hike. We went to Bird Island and climbed to the top. We also climbed over Devil's Gate (I believe that's what it was called). We had the option to snorkel in two locations. The two hikes were not that hard, but they were narrow paths. I'll see if I can find pictures of the two places we hiked and post them.

Thanks Tracy! Also just printed the Fool's Plotter. Thank you so much for taking the time to put it together! It's wonderful :cheer2:

See you in less than a week now!

Eco Tour - we only hiked at one spot but effects of Jeanne were already being felt - we snorkeled in a different location too. I managed the hike at Bird Island and vow to be in better shape the next time but actually had a more difficult time coming down (loose gravel path) but there are folks to assist. And as you can see from the photos above, the view was beautiful. We also had time for snorkel instruction while there so some water time can be had for those that don't hike. I can also say that lunch was wonderful as was the punch!

Rob very cool graphic, I'm impressed. Wish I knew how to do things like that.

Have a great day everyone.......hotter than hot here again today. Guess it will be a good day to stay inside and start packing up my life!
