In my younger days I was a "car hop" at a root-beer stand, and I believe that was considered a "Drive-In". I also remember going to an outdoor parcking lot where they showed 3rd rate movies and they also called this a " Drive-In".

Know this shoows my age but hope it helps!

Oh, the root beer stand. Still two left in La Crosse, WI, and one in Holmen. Best root beer and chili dogs..yum!

The list of cities I did was just the different cities I have lived in, it doesn't include the number of moves in each city. My mother used to say she raised a gypsy. As far as actual moves, I hope to make no more than one or two more in my lifetime. Now I would just like to pack a suitcase or RV and go. But then, who knows for sure?

Is Stewarts still in business because I could have sworn that I got an Oranges and cream soda/pop last week here in Canada when Mom and I went out for fish & chips.....It was like drinking a Creamsicle......dessert in a bottle.

They carry the stewarts soda in quite a few places (by the bottle/many flavors) in the stores around south florida.
