I'm thrilled to be able to keep in touch (verbally) with the kids while we are away. Saying night-night through an email is NOT the same as on the phone!

Great!! Just got signed up with unlimited, but checking all the posts here is hard. I can't easily go to the last post I checked.

We saw the shuttle!!! We were at the airport on the monorail. As soon as I figured out where north and south were, I looked and it just took off!! Talked to Sharon and JM a few minutes ago! They were in the terminal and didn't see it. Someone from DCL told them which window to look out and it was the wrong one.

I can't tell you how exciting it is to be here! I think I sold a DCL cruise to one of our flight attendents

Our DIS meet is in a few minutes. Might get to meet WebmasterPete. We have PLA seating so I needed to switch my Palo dinner. So we'll have Palo on Monday instead of tomorrow. That will actually be better. They have some special pins for Castaway Club members on the cruise too. The cat 11 doesn't seem bad at all, though I don't know if we'll use our over the door shoe holder. Doesn't seem to be enough room. Yes, Hercules is still on the Wonder for the 11 night. Captain Tom and Cruise Director Andy are here on the Magic. Pikey is on holiday. Ian and Belle will be on the cruise director staff for us on the Wonder. That's all I remember so far.

We saw the shuttle!!! We were at the airport on the monorail. As soon as I figured out where north and south were, I looked and it just took off!! Talked to Sharon and JM a few minutes ago! They were in the terminal and didn't see it. Someone from DCL told them which window to look out and it was the wrong one.

I can't tell you how exciting it is to be here! I think I sold a DCL cruise to one of our flight attendents

Exactly as I recall, Well these days no carbonated beverages for me. I do remember trying to beat hte system and get my $$$$ worth.

I recall having some pictures from the last night where we were all passed out on Deck 9. LOL

o.k.....I'm really behind on getting ready...I went to Lexington KY yesterday to shop, (London has really nothing but Walmart etc.) to find grass skirts, there is a party store up there and they had none!! I didn't know there was a season for grass skirts!! Anyone have any ideas where I can get one at this short notice!!

Brian & I will be married 14 years on Sept. 19!!!...wow that really sounds like a long time when it's in writing!!

I know my local party store has em'....

... but I need your size for waist and length of skirt desired. When we were in hawaii I could have picked up a set complete with coconut shell bikini top for $8... but I'm not there any more. I don't know what the local store will charge but it's close by enough that I can verify the cost, color combinations and dimensions of fit BEFORE I buy for you. I know they have 'em though in quantity as it's a popular thing out here to do a Luau themed party and so on. Also, we have a lot of ex-Hawaiian folks in the community - and I know of a formal school out here that teaches how to Hula properly to tell stories with the dance. Hawaiian folks send their kids there to learn the lore.

I have spent my afternoon corresponding with people I went to highschool with. A guy I know, Austin, was diagnosed with testicular cancer on June 28th. It is very aggressive and he is going through the strongest chemo they can give him. He and his wife are expecting their 1st child Sept. 17th (of all days) and that date also happens to be the date of his last chemo treatment for this round. Not to offend anyone, but PLEASE pray for him and his family. And if you are not religious, please ust keep him in your thoughts. He is having a very hard time with the chemo. Thank You! He honestly is the nicect guy ever! Someone e-mailed me the pics of his "Chemo Party" . All of our guy buddies from high school shaved their heads bald along with him before the chemo. That's what friends are for, eh?

... I thought it would be OK to publicly offer a supporting note. These sort of things are serious SERIOUS threats... and it certainly does not hurt to add our prayers and well wishes to the vulnerable fellow, Austin.

We'll be wishin' you a beautiful and romantic day for celebrating your Anniversery. What fun to look back on the years and say to one another nose to nose... how 'bout another decade or two together? If not more, eh? I still don't know how many years I have rolling up on MY anniversery - cuz my spouse has been CONFUSING me lately with deceptive remarks every time I ask her how many years we've been together. Now - I have very little time to figure it out. I used to have the wedding favors from our reception laying about in the curio cabinet and elsewhere - but lately they're mysteriously ... disappeared. SO - now what am I to do? I think it's 11 but she suggested it was 12 or 13 years. I'm gettting so confused.

Wow, Crash, are you up with the kids??

Well...

... if you HAVE ta know. I fell asleep on the sofa out here. And one of my daughter woke up and came lookin' for me. She's on my lap falling back asleep so I poped on to take a gander at what's up. And posted. I drifted off imediately after that last post (I think). It was late (2:36AM) and I had an early day today.

I ran out to look at a "Saturday school" session we were considering enrolling our child for - then my spouse was gonna (well she did it already) - so as I wuz sayin' - my spouse dragged me out to join her for that Macy's thing today at 10AM where the 1st 500 shoppers attending get a free $10 off gift card. We got more then one each - I'll just leave it at that. They had a men's and women's store. THEN immediately after THAT our daughter Julianna had her 1st day of AYSO. She scored TWO goals!!!!! One of them into our own goal - and the other against the opposing team! Everyone cheered wildly just the same while exchanging wonderful grins! Then after that - the kids declared they wanted to hiut T-R-U... (AKA... Toy's R Us). Now we're back home napping. I wuz gonna see my Dad for dinner tonight - he got a new car yesterday and wants to show it off before it gets dinged up in a parking lot I guess - but I am out of energy. I need a break. No - I need a nap. No - I need a massage and a nap. Well... what I really need is a VACATION CRUISE! Woo Hooo.... we got one ... next week! Only - can I make it til Sunday? Shoot - I don't know if I'll make it to Sunday TOMORROW!

Well... it's not that bad... I gotta go get something to replenish the soul - like a nice big root beer float. And with this post I am now more or less "caught up" with the most recent postings here... and I am 5 away from my 900th posting.

Captain Crash you are the BEST!! I really appreciate, but as soon as read Webray's suggestion I looked on oriental trading co. and found "grass skirts", YEAH and ordered, Thanks Webray for the suggestion!!

I better get packing...all I have ready is the snorkeling gear and sunscreen.....and lots of lists on what I should be packing!!

Good evening all. I want to apologize for not sending out the cell phone list yet. I was planning on working on that last night or early today- but life got in the way.

I spent a few hours at the hospital today as a patient, rather than as a nurse. I have a spider bite that became infected and had to go get some IV antibiotics and a bunch of tests because the appearance changed dramatically in 24 hours. (My ankle is twice as big as it normally is and is really red, inflammed, and has a black spot in the middle of the bite) I woke up and about had a heart attack when I saw it.

Anyways- the cell phone list WILL be completed tomorrow....come H#$L or high water.


I'm going to be a good girl and take all the stupid pills they gave me because I AM NOT missing this cruise.

I think we have the new beds, for sure the new bedding but not the shampoos.

Also, no steamer trunk. Lots of stuff was left in the luggage (since it's for next week.)
