We do wish a speedy recovery and as an ICU nurse I know would say “ do what the Doc says and take your pills as prescribed.”

Get better take those antibiotics....

Good evening all. I want to apologize for not sending out the cell phone list yet. I was planning on working on that last night or early today- but life got in the way.

I spent a few hours at the hospital today as a patient, rather than as a nurse. I have a spider bite that became infected and had to go get some IV antibiotics and a bunch of tests because the appearance changed dramatically in 24 hours. (My ankle is twice as big as it normally is and is really red, inflammed, and has a black spot in the middle of the bite) I woke up and about had a heart attack when I saw it.

Anyways- the cell phone list WILL be completed tomorrow....come H#$L or high water.


I'm going to be a good girl and take all the stupid pills they gave me because I AM NOT missing this cruise.

Please don't worry about us and the cell list. Relax and take care of yourself! If this had happened to me I would have been going bonkers!

So take it easy... we still have lots of time and we can also get by without the list - but NOT without you on the sailing - and in tip top form too! Get well so you can enjoy the voyage in the best possible condition.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone- I told the doctor, "I don't care if you have to put a PICC line (semi-perm IV line) in my arm and I have to give myself the IV meds, I'm going on that cruise on Sunday- with or without my foot. He thought that was funny, but told me he knew I was serious. Anytime I go to the doctor is serious, I don't like being the patient. I was arguing with the doctor about debridement of the tissue

I think we have the new beds, for sure the new bedding but not the shampoos.

Also, no steamer trunk. Lots of stuff was left in the luggage (since it's for next week.)

No steamer trunk..ugh. Are they taking them out? I sure hope not, we stuff a lot of clothes in there, lol.

Can't wait to hear how you sleep on the new mattresses, although we always seem to sleep great on the ship with the ocean rocking us to sleep.

Is that the hospital by pembroke lakes mall? If so, then yes, you are fairly close to my house. We are right off 595 on Pine Island/Griffin. 595 is horrid at certain times of day.

Hope all is going well at your house. I know these are stressful times for you.
