Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

A seperate ticketed event, held certain evenings in MK after it closes to regular guests. We love it, great party, good candy.

Just wondering if there is anyone else going to MNSSHP. We signed up this morning after reading this thread.

As soon as my mom booked it I started looking for costumes. And I thought I'd wear it going on the ship as well. Hey if little kids can pull it off why can't I. I still am a little kid at heart and will always be haha.

I just found out that we have second dining at 8 pm. Did anyone link up their reservations, and, if so, can we join you? Also, looking for Prince Charming so if anyone knows one, please keep me in mind. :rotfl2:

Do you have to purchase regular admission to MK and then also pay for the MNSSHP?? Sounds like a lot of fun

Nope, you don't need regular admission to MK. Just the MNSSHP ticket, but the ticket only gets you into the party, not into MK for the day or anything.

CC - you're the man - :thumbsup2

Many kind words were never spoken....er...typed.... ;) Thank you for your constant laughter and may you keep them (in honor of our friend PIT) rolling, rolling, rolling... (I agree- where's the little big rig icon?)
And no - you've got the magic touch! Will pm you later as my insominia sets in! For now - am on my way to DL to pick up my GWP pins!

:surfweb:

Aerodynamics over a big rig... PIT ... gotta make sure them aero-spoilers are correctly in place! And watch them cross-winds.... Now... if you look very very closely at the shock waves and turbulance arount the transition between cab and trailer... and then the turbulance at the back of the trailer you can see the effects of streamlining and probable penalties for LACK of aerodynamics... Plus looking at this I begin to wonder if a SIDE spoiler on the trailer would reduce what appears to be vacume turbulance? Of course one good cross wind could creat EXCESS pressure behind the trailer and PROPELL you ... or possibly create unintended acceleration??? Nawwww......

Oh, and thank you for your kind words...

Things tend to get crazy, especially with young children, and it is hard sometimes to meet up with people. We hope to put faces with names and enjoy others company on this cruise, but you just never know how things are going to work out. From the newsletter, to the roster, to all of the events folks are planning - it was a ton of time and very much appreciated. Again thank you!

That is why the lanyards are so great - even if you are shy, it makes it easy to break the ice, because you know that they are fellow Dis'ers.

Had a huge Monsoon last night. Lost one of our 25 palm trees. Also ripped off the honeysuckle that was growing (for over five years) on trellises attached to our house in our entryway. Leslie is very bummed - loves the smell when they are blooming. Very strong!

Went to Costco buy milk!

A new movie player (already have one), a Playstation PSP (we have to have one to play on the plane Dad - smile, bat eyelashes - Dad melts - score!!), a . . . . . . . it turned out to be a very painful visit! Costco will get you every time!

I grew up in Phoenix, and really miss the Monsoons. There is nothing like sitting back and watching them roll in across the valley - beautiful lightning and all. However, I do feal your pain on the damaged plants. I pulled out more trees that had been uprooted during storms...

Ahh, Costco. Also known as the $100 store - meaning that even if you only want one item, you still can't get out of there for under $100. :lmao:

We are going the Friday after the cruise. We did three years in a row, but had to miss last year - canceled a trip at the last minute because of employee problems at the store, and we couldn't be gone.

See you there, Tony! We're going then, too. :thumbsup2

o.k. I just want to understand, when they accept your ticket for MNSSHP in the evening, you cannot have full access to MK if you did not purchase a MK ticket.....how do they keep you in the party area??? :confused3

We are going to MNSSHP on the 29th!

Today's journey to Costco unfortunately had a 5 after the 1 and an extra "0". That was without any appliances/tv's . . . . .

Kinda stupid right before a big vacation, but some of it was for the vacation!

From my understanding everyone who does not have a ticket for the MNSSHP gets kicked out of MK before 7 oclock pm and then they let the MNSSP people in. The MNSSHP people get full run around of MK.

Cow smell in Ontario :confused3 ...oh wait...you mean Ontario California not Ontario Canada :lmao:

Ah - ha.... :lmao:

From our understanding regarding MNSSHP, with the event ticket, you should be allowed to enter around 4pm. Other guests with MK tickets will be asked to leave in the early evening if they don't have the event ticket.

Thank you to all that PM'd me and offered to answer my questions - I REALLY appreciate it! All of my general questions have been answered.

I think a few of you didn't fully understand what I was trying to say. I totally understand jokes, updates and banter between the group - getting to know new people, or keeping caught up with friends. I take no issue with that at all. And I'm certainly not worried that anyone has any devious plans, or a "secret society."

Point well taken - you can't "label" everyone in a group by the behavior of just a few. And hopefully those few are not even on this sailing. I am QUITE aware that this is only an internet site, and I do not take it too seriously. I just posted my frustrations and concerns - I figured that some would take it as a personal attack, but it was not meant that way. I am very active on several internet boards, and have met many of the posters from several of them. One bunch formed a group to travel somewhere together, and many were truly obnoxious - getting a bad reputation, which also sucked a few people into that reputation that didn't belong there...I know how it happens.

There are lots of funloving people in this group, with interesting stories and good information to share.

Thank goodness for Tracy's newsletters - they are WONDERFUL! Thank you Tracy! I hope that by reading those, I have caught up on what I need to know. And I guess you are right - the "meet" thread should actually be the chatter thread. I should go out to the main boards to post my questions. Thank you for pointing that out. Sometimes it does help to speak your mind - you get good advice!

The board seems to have slowed some - but maybe it is just due to the holiday weekend? So I'll take a chance and post a question here and come back to look for the answer. Since this is tied to this sailing, I figured I'd get a better answer here than on the main boards.

- Bubba Mugs - is there anyone in Minnesota that has found one? And if so, where? I looked at their online site, and brought up every supplier listed online, but non of them have them for sale online. I work ridiculous hours (my office is in my home) and rarely get out and about, except to run kids to activities. If anyone has a good idea of where I can find these I'd really appreciate it.

Your prior remarks had nothing to do with the posting intensity as we were all talking about it as being rather slow. And your points had merit from your POV. I for one do not know how to reign in this beast without killing it. And that would be a shame IMHO.

It has a life of it's own and - I would like to share an affirmation that I gave up trying to get caught up on the posts missed while I was in Hawaii. So - that sort of annoyance can be taken many ways. I had little to say about it while your remarks did otherwise with support echoed from a couple sharing your setiment. Many cannot deny that IF you were not following the 5,000 posts closely in those 17 days then you'd be hopelessly left behind as I was. As such, I was OK with that as I thought of it as just a really busy party in progress.... In the end though I simply laugh it off as amazing in scale for everything posted (99.99%) appears to all be nice inoffensive banter from what I've seen. And I enjoy lurking and contributing to a community of such - when and where possible. Contrary to popular belief I do have a bit of a life off the DIS.....

Please forgive me for the tone and intensity of my prior replies... I was ... feelin' talkative (for better or worse). I also can be outspoken as some might gather ~ again, probably at great risk to my otherewise fragile reputation.

Kathryn in MN, May I offer a fresh personal welcome to the insanity we've all become a part of here.... and may your voyage with us be as Wonderful as your fondest Dreams imagined!
And if you get caught behind the clutter again - let me know via PM and I'll be among the 1st to fillibuster for shorter more precise postings... unless, of course I forget, or find I'm a part of the "problem"... in partial quote of Shrek...

Kathryn in MN - Just to say I agree. You read through some of the stuff on here and you really aren't sure whether you should be scared or not! I think people just get overly excited and as said some of these people have been planning this for a year now so it is exciting.

Still I think as someone suggested, you ask questions and then people post and pm you the answers it saves trawling through pages (there has been 26 pages posted since last time I came on here) and also means if you do want to read through everything you can.

I only joined this sailing July 17th, posting 5606 and ... so I must say I am sorry if I scared anyone with my calls for "friendly sprints" and such. I am sort of odd in what I find entertaining... I'm sure. And others may think otherwise... IE, others might think I am simply certifyable.

So may I say for the record that I am not on any medications, or court ordered supervision. I am fit as a fiddle and just giddy with the notion of joining my children for another Disney cruise. Truly, we are going back into the Southern Carribean which was last seen by my spouse and I nearly 14-15 years ago when we took out 1st "real" cruise - so please don't confuse MY sort of youthful silly banter as the ravings of a lunatic. Only my wife gets to call me stuff like that! So - I hope you have a better perspective on the likes of folks like ... me.

We come in peace... and now we return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

BTW... anyone wanna join my Mickey Ice Cream Eating Race? ( again?) We still have lots of space for entrants of all ages! It's been moved to the Promenade Lounge on deck 3, but otherwise the same time 2PM and day! Please PM me if interested.... all ages accepted! I'm not convinced we can do a Le Mans sprint start so - fear not and enter prior to boarding so I can make your personalized "particiaption" award in advance!!!

Yep, I sent her a winning Fl Lotto ticket for her and Joe to get a very cheap bottle of wine or one dink at WDW... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Leslie used it to get me a Bubba Mug, That was very nice of her... :) :)

How do "I" sign up for getting a winning FL lottery ticket? I didn't see it in this months' newsletter? :confused3

And with that I give you this DARK little Lotto animation for your divergent consideration. No actual blood or foul lanuage (other then "dimwit" is depicted. But the morality is low.... Muted chuckles just the same.

Hi all - I've been reading P1, P5 and the movie listing. Wondered if anyone knows whether 'Cars' will be one of the movies on board.

It was shown this Summer in our cinemas and I missed it. I was hoping that it would be shown on the Wonder one day.

Anyone know?

Heather
I have heard both 'YES' and 'NO' from reliable sources. As I am biased in both answer and source, I'm choosing to belive 'YES' and am looking forward to seeing it! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

No wonder I couldn't find any at the local Wally Worlds...you bought them out !!!! Seriously though, I did manage to find 2, with their lids intact (ask me about the lidless green BubbaMug I have), 1 green and 1 pink / red, so we're set.
