We used to go out there until we witnessed a guy get shot when he wouldn;t give up his pink slip when he lost the race.
crazy the things we used to see out there, races for 10K+ I guess it doesn;t really matter when it is just drug money
hope no one is offended by that statement but that was really the case
at least in Ontario you just had to deal with the cow smell that came up from Norco
now all the streets by the airport in Ontario are temporarily closed from Fri thru Sun, it's just as well, now the overwhelming majority are a bunch of rice burnin pocket rockets. We saw a bunch of them caravaning one night, not a single musclecar....so sad!

eeyorelvr10 said:Hey y'all - late night for me again. I second or third or whatever the sentiment of where's everybody. Must be the holiday weekend. We went to pin trading night at DLR and there were almost no regulars there. It was scary - loaded up on some new lanyards though - hope this time I do something with them.I usually place them on my boards and admire them. Except this time, maybe I'll bring them to WDW w/us.
PIT - I used to live in Compton for the 1st 10 yrs of my life. Off of Willowbrook and Rosecrans. Each weekend night starting Friday was a designated "race" night and my father would lock us in starting at 6:30 pm. I lived there from '66-'76. I once took my DH to 'visit' my old stomping ground and he couldn't take it - he flipped out and only made it as far as the railroad tracks.I got a good laugh out of that. However, as you said during the day it isn't bad and I did jury duty there in June - they have actually cleaned up the place - I was impressed - for Compton that is.
CC - we also have no plans this weekend, must be because we're sailing in about 2 weeks time - couldn't quite justify another weekend in Vegas. That and I didn't want to take a chance on losing everyone's gifts.![]()
Anyway, dropped off my 2 babies at the Country club and made sure that they are having their yappy hour each night with other spoiled pooches along with their private play time and ice cream. Ive felt so bad for them because I usually play with them each day but because of the surgery and recovery time, didn't want to jeopardize myself. I told myself that they will be ok - at least they will have others to play with - that and my Isis is in heat and for some strange reason (I have no idea why -) she gets rather moody and depressed - I swear sometimes acts more human than I do. That's ok - she fits right in.

PIT - had to laugh at a somewhat similar situation, we're merging onto the fwy when DH rolled the window down (one of the dogs broke wind) and Isis ran to the window and stuck her head out - while I'm reaching back to make sure she's buckled in - I was able to witness the driver next to us almost swerve and hit the car next to them when this wolf-like head pops out of the window. I just saw his hand go to his chest and burst out laughing. Guess he'll think twice next time he decides not to let us in as we're merging. It's moments like that that make me laugh.
Oh well - time for another post as I have TONS to catch up to CC
