Good Morning Tracy!

We love last comic also. Did you watch this last season. We are hoping Gabriel comes to our Improv (the guy that got kicked off for having his blackberry or something with him to contact his girlfriend). Wouldn't mind seeing Josh Blue and Ty either. Bob likes Chris Porter, but I don't think he has enough material.

Cheryl

I agree completely Cheryl. I thought Chris Porter was funny, but knew he wouldn't win because of the material.

Thanks CC...hope you and your family are doing well.

too early to tell...

I think the older daughter is still breathing so she's doing fine.

Me... I think I'll catch a nap now...

Good Cheers to all and safe travels to any hitting the road today!

...And if I'm still awake for the next 100 mark I just might try to swipe it...

HEY KIDS, JUST IN CASE SOME OFYOU NEWER FOLKS TO THIS BOARD MISSED IT HERE IT IS:
One more fun thing……….

THE GRASS SKIRT FRATERNITY

Walk into the shrink wherever you are, wearing a grass skirt, just walk in, say, "Shrink, . . . this is what I am wearing to the Sept 17, sail-away party and tropical night on DCL", and walk out.

You know, if one person, just one person, shows up wearing a grass skirt, they may think he's really sick.

And if two people do it, they may think they just like each other.

And if three people do it! Can you imagine three people wearing grass skirts to the Sept 17 sail-away party and tropical night on DCL. They may think it's an organization!

And can you imagine fifty people, I said FIFTY people wearing grass skirts to the Sept 17 sail-away party and tropical night on DCL, Friends, they may think it's a MOVEMENT, and that's what it is: THE GRASS SKIRT FRATERNITY MOVEMENT! . . . and all you gotta do to join is wear a grass skirt to the Sept 17 sail-away party and tropical night on DCL, .........With feelin'.

Check out Page 1 Post 5 for photos and more info… Bob and I have some fun stuff for those who choose to join…

Grass Skirt:

1 1/2 oz gin
1 oz triple sec
1 oz pineapple juice
1/2 tsp grenadine syrup
1 slice pineapple

Directions: In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, triple sec, pineapple juice, and grenadine. Shake well. Pour into an old-fashioned glass and garnish with the pineapple slice.

Hey Elaine, for those of us who don't get to try the buttertarts. Could we get the recipe?

Thanks.

Cheryl

I think milestones are kewl, and I'm guilty too, but after 10,000, it seems like only thousand marks are "important", as the century marks happen daily.

The newsletter was designed to help people out for the August Repositioning Cruise. It went over so well that I was asked to do it again for this cruise.

I agree with many that we are trying to get to know eachother and many of the postings reflect that. Exchanging quick greetings, quips, etc. make it fun. Posting for the sake of getting your count up, getting to a century milestone, makes it hard to keep up.

Definitely ask your questions Kathryn. I know at least for me if there is a serious question asked and a lot of posting going on, I will PM the person asking with the answer. I want to see everyone have a great time and if that one nagging question gets answered, that will help!

Maybe to alleviate the question problem, those posting answers could PM and post so those needing answers feel they got it! You mention splitting up to a Q&A and a "Chatter" board. This is basically what the DIS did by starting a Cruise Meets Thread. This is the "Chatter" board and the main Cruise Board is the Q&A. They moved the meets over here so the regular boards wouldn't get so cluttered.

Keep in mind also if you find that certain people don't post anything you are interested in, you can always put them on ignore. You will not see anything that they posted (except of course when someone quotes them).

I have seen the posts about the "DIS" people on other boards and all I can say is it is stereotypical to lump people into a group like that. Every person in the groups in the past didn't do what people are accusing them of doing. It's usually one or two people. Yes, they may be part of a bigger group, but that gives no one the right to lump them all together. I have been on 4 DCL cruises and have never heard anything bad about the DIS people. I have only heard good things from the crew.

There is definitely no "secret society" here. I know that I know about 10 people (tops) who I have cruised with before. Many of the people I have responded to, I have never met. Yet I feel like I'm part of this group. I agree, I have never seen anything quite like it on any other cruiseline. I think that's a good thing for DCL. Don't read the stories about other sailings. I will tell you I had a blast last August and we had a couple people (part of the DIS group) that I wouldn't want to admit I know because of the things they did. I consider them an individual and I avoided them. If you find the same thing happens here, I suggest doing the same. But give everyone a chance first. Don't make a predetermination of what people will be like until you meet them.

I think things did start to get a little out of hand. I'm sure I played a part in that. I know that most of us (and hopefully you too) are very excited for this trip and just to be on vacation. I have another cruise planned, but haven't even posted on that thread about it yet. Too much excitement for this one.

HEY You Water Sports Folks out there brining you own gear…. As we are packing and checking our stuff this morning thought I would share.

Remember to check your stuff well before brining it along, check those straps on your fins and masks, check your snorkel holder, if brining a dive computer are the batteries fresh???? :thumbsup2

Also here is a secret tip of mine for mask defog, sure you can pay big bucks for that bottle of mask defog, here is what is less expensive and works just as well. Lemon Joy dish soap cut 50/50 with water, rinse well to avoid eye sting, also there is Johnson’s No More Tears Baby Shampoo, works very well also… :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Tracy, thanks for your most recent post. I too am pretty darn excited and looking forward to this trip. :thumbsup2

geez, i've been gone too many days....wha happened? :confused3 did I do something?

Good morning all, it seems that the mood of the board has changed. I think everyone needs to relax. People will either enjoy being part of the group or they will not. I think people who believe that "strangers" can have that much impact on their vacation is interesting- I have seen this posted on other boards. Isn't your vacation what you take out of it? :confused3 I know on the May cruise, we participated in some group activities and in others we did not. We felt that the group activities that we participated in greatly impacted our vacation on a good note.

Chatter always tends to increase the closer we get to the upcoming date. I'm sure the posts will continue to increase and get faster. I know they did on the other threads that I have been apart of. There are those who enjoy getting the milestones and there are those who get them by a happy accident. I don't think it matters.

Enjoy the cruise- take out of it what you will, but truly most of us are going to be with our families and friends. Do not take the boards too seriously, after all this is only an internet site.

- sigh - DS decided to clean some tarish type material from our new gas guzzling SUV with a kitchen sponge, you know the type, the one with the green scouring pad!!!!

Life is far too short to let ANYTHING get you down or sour... even if your kids take a crayola to the ceiling of your otherwise nice car... let it go and laugh a little... I had to do exactly that today!

I think it's just a bring anything kind of thing, CC. I'm sure it'll all get eaten! I've been on this diet for so long I'll probley eat all of the food there! :rotfl2:
But I would like to announce that after being on this diet for a month-I'm going to TACO BELL!

I can't take it anymore! I'm running for the border! Only this one time though. I have also been a month without anything from Starbucks, but I will resist the sugar trap. Only a mexican pizza with no meat and no green onions for me today, well and maybe some pintos and cheese :teeth: tomorrow I'll jump back on the wagon.........

We are sitting in traffic AGAIN! I-15 North is a NIGHTMARE SoCal'ers so if you are going anywhere soon I would hold off, it's a concrete jungle out here!

I was addicted to their fries, love those crinkle type fries

and their Double dell's, quesadillas, tacos....

oh man, you guys were so close to us here, sorry we missed the opportunity to see you guys.

We were out getting yet more clothes for the kids, belle and jasmine outfits for the girls - I also went to get some little Steelers stickers for that little boy Dominic but now they just have these sheets that have huge stickers on them, before they had little small ones that would have been appropriate or easy to hide considering they are from NY and either Jets or Giants fans :lmao:

ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL TIIIIIIIIIDE! (fight song playing over and over again in my head) We have XM and I'm sure it is playing. I never have been able to listen to games on the radio. I have a very short attention span that all the Ritalin in the world couldn't correct so I often need a visual to stay focused. Who are they playing? We are stuck in So Cal (yep, we went all the way to Compton AT NIGHT and the freakin load cancelled on us). I doubt it'll be playin on the local channels here. We are currently in Colton, CA waiting on the guy in the shop to complete our 45 minute oil change that he started 4 hours ago. He's a little slow. Kevin is watching Star Wars:Revenge of the Sith and tring to explain the story line to me as he goes. I'm not much for Sci-Fi. I like true stories.

Back to the Tide, we have friends coming to visit in November that are from DC and want to go to the AL/AU game. I don't want to spend all that $$$ for tickets to watch AL get embarrassed again this year like last. We actually watched the game last year at home and for the first time ever, turned it off in the middle and went to the movies. PITiful, I say :rotfl:

that really sucks about the load cancelling...do you guys still get paid since you drove all the way out there?? just curious,...that would suck eggs!!

they need to add a lil icon with a big rig for you guys :moped:

Good morning everyone from finally SUNNY Philadelphia. I woke up to a beautiful sunny day instead of all that rain. Today I have to finish unpacking, wash the clothes and re-pack them for this cruise. When I was on the Magic they didn't have any of the new shampoos etc. Does anyone know if everyone on the Wonder will have the new shampoos etc? One less thing to pack.

We're flying in on the 16th and wanted to go to the Magic Kingdom for the day. Thanks for the invite for the wine and cheese party. I'd love to come.
I will formally RSVP by PM. What can I bring?

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Bev :sunny:

KEWL, Bev, glad you can make it.

TRAVEL TIP:

Make copies of your photo ID, i.e. passports, DL, etc, keep them in seperate secure locations, so if you ever loose the originals , the copies can make replacement easier.

As Tony mentioned, let your credit card companies know where and when you are traveling, that way they will not flag your account and shut off your cards.

whooaaa, door signs? whatcha talkin bout willis? :confused3
