At least going western you shouldn't have to worry about Hurricane Florence coming anywhere near you. :thumbsup2

I'd like to SELF APPOINT MYSELF to head up the "Rest and Relaxation" contest. Hmmm... let's see... we'll break it out into a multi-day event.... say covering 13 nights including one preceeding and one post cruise. EVERYONE is automatically entered - and at the conclusion of this contest we shall all be declared ... WINNERS! Yah!!!!! Prizes to be awarded to everyone shall be priceless memories of pleasant times and gentle breezes, glorious sunsets and quiet conversation - sprinkled with the ocassional screams of wild DIS folk who were at the Pirate Nite Party pirate: , and running through the passageways playing TAG!, sneaking around sending Secret Mickey "tokens", skipping towards the PJ breakfast, rolling out of Palo's from another wonderful brunch, wandering out of the DIS scrapbooking gathering, and who were cheering on the Mickey Ice Cream Bar Racers!!!!... among other things DIS. :confused3 Oh yeah... and who was it that was in charge of the unofficial DIS floating poker game at sea???

Simple, eh?

Cyndi, we were planning to do the last Med. cruise and then the repo back. But I think we're going to cancel the Med. cruise and do just the repo b/c of how much time it requires. We'd be away for almost a month and we just can't swing that.

That's gotta be tough ....

... that is, to break away for 20-21 days plus more for air travel and possibnle day stays post cruise. It's like, why even bother enrolling in school? Just take the year off or convert to home schoolin' for the year? Now - that's not even considering anyones' need to return to regular routine of "another day - another dollar" regiment. OH YEAH... money... like, who needs that anyway???? Well, let's not worry about anything as grubby as THAT... lets just think about the FUN STUFF!!!!

And ya know what.... anytime you can slip away for a tras-Atlantic sailing - it's a good deal. Now I know I mentioned 2 BTB would be more then I am prepared to consider... and part of the reason has already been mentioned. AND I must say - "go baby go!!!" to those who are planning on such a voyage! Wish I WERE there with ya! :thumbsup2

any Rice OWL fans out there? I saw their semi- driving down the road today heading to Pasadena for their game with the UCLA Bruins tomorrow.

Nice loooking truck, funny though I looked at the side and saw all these old looking photos of football players and such and glanced at the letters and it looked like

RICE BOWLS FOOTBALL

I was like huh...? :confused3

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

that's when I realized it was for the RICE OWLS... :rotfl:

Question...SKYPE works onboard the ship??

I've been concerned about not "talking" to DD while we are away  ...if I could make this work...that would be very cool!

Anyone in the Portland, OR area that wants to bring me dinner? Kev is asleep and I am STARVING! There is nowhere in walking distance to get anything to eat and all I have is salad, which I am gettin sick of. Anyone? ;)

I have good news everyone....

I called the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) office today to inquire as to whether or not the buttertarts would be permitted to be carried on the plane....after giving my name and telepehone number and answering a few questions I got the green light!!!!!! So I will be bringing the buttertarts....unless they decide to change the rules between now and Wednesday.

WooHoo for the TSA and the ButterTarts! I know I'm looking forward to tasting them. Which reminds me, I have to call and order some Cheddar Blossoms.   I'm so hungry, I'm snacking on macadamia nuts but I don't want that to be my dinner! I might just have to give in and eat YET ANOTHER chicken salad
