The week is done, and I am glad for that.

Just a reminder for the Wine and Cheese Meet at OKW on 9/16 at 4:00. Will post the room after we check in at OKW on 9/14. A BYOB event to which all are welcome. Just a chance to meet your fellow cruisers before we set sail. We will have some munchie stuff and others are brining some regional goodies to share. PM us if ya can so we can a have an idea as to how many folks will be there. For further info etc feel free to PM us.

Also the Grass Skirt Frat, check out Page 1 Post 5 for more info, Any questions PM Bob (BobandLee) or me.

Ohhhh....

How lucky! .... I thought we had some folks on the 10 + 11 day sailings... but I guess I don't catch everything said here.... like everyone else I skim too... (mostly I skim the short postings - I like substance). LOL! Just kidding...

What I'm REALLY saying... I wish I were doing a back to back cruise. That's something my spouse and I have never done before. And it sounds like fun. Especially with swappin' ships an' all! Shoot, the only port repested is St Thomas and CC too! And St Thomas is one of 2 favorite ports for my spouse and I in the Carib.

Oh well... we'll just have to daydream about doing a back to back some time in the future....

Thanks for the clearification..... :thumbsup2
No prob! Kevin has been hinting at doing this for a while. I think it would be nice to do a 7day western twice! I love Key West. Imagine that there are people that are planning to do the Repo cruise to the Medditteranean THEN they are doing the 1st Med cruise! Talk about cruising a long time!

Have to share this news with everyone

I was sweating it out that my grandbaby was going to be born while I was on the cruise.

She was due on October 13th, so I thought I would be safe

WELL - she was born this morning by emergency C section - 5 weeks early

a little girl, ABBYGAIL - 5 lbs. 14 oz.

Now I can cruise knowing I won't miss her birth.[/QUOTE

Congratulations on the new grandbaby. Bring some pictures to share at brunch.

I've never had the pleasure of visiting Portland yet. Seattle and points north and east, yes. SO - one day I'll get a chance to see what you folks are enjoyin' today!

Pleasant travels homeward!

Tom AKA Bloody Captain Crash, Arrgh! pirate:
Thanks Tom! We have only ever been through Portland on the truck, but we would like to come to visit. I have heard that there are Kayak tours you can take on the river through Portland. That would be cool! It is one of the prettiest cities I have seen. Second only to Chicago. :)

Actually CC is the only repeated port for us. We will be on the Western itinerary. I'm guessing I won't get many if any shrimp tomorrow afternoon with the launch. Hope traffic's not as bad as I'm thinking it will be.

Cyndi, we were planning to do the last Med. cruise and then the repo back. But I think we're going to cancel the Med. cruise and do just the repo b/c of how much time it requires. We'd be away for almost a month and we just can't swing that.

At least going western you shouldn't have to worry about Hurricane Florence coming anywhere near you. :thumbsup2

Congrats Kay!!! I hope you have a picture to share.

I know what ya mean! With DS16 going on not 1 but 2 major school trips next year we won't be cruising but once next year. That is a long time to be off

Repo+1st MED sounds nice... but probably not quite for us. I would not want to do so many sea days - and I would rather go port hopping somewhere were we have not been. With that much time - I would do a medium cruise + extra days ashore at primary points of interest. AND - I'd like to do it when the kids are old enough to appreciate the merit of the ports on schedule. So for now - Disney is the PERFECT line for us! :thumbsup2

Of course, this is just random thinking on the matter. We are not quite ready to seriously plan anything like that. We have a full plate in our travel plans for the next year and a half... then we can start thinking about other things for travel...
